The following is the storyline involving the Outcasts and the United Powers. In summary, this was a power struggle. The Outcasts wanted to change EVPW in to a clone of their image. They didn't care what people thought, whether good or bad- they just wanted to take control. One problem faced them though, the mighty combined forces of the "United Powers" didn't like this. The team of Vladimir Strife, Jake Diamond, Hyper Elf, and Stone Orchard fought to keep EVPW the way it was, and after a lengthy battle, Vladimir Strife triumphed over Ryan Hughes at End of Innocence; taking Ryan's GHW World Championship, and finally killing off the legacy of the Outcasts.

Act I – All in Formation
Equinox PPV
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=eq9&action=display&thread=4458&page=1
It was main event time at Equinox, and it was the annual gorefest known as the SCW Deathmatch. At stake was a shot against Stone Orchard at MadHouse for the United Glory Tag Titles. The first man out was debutant El Nacho Grande, and he caused the first surprise of the night, revealing that his mystery partner was none other than Ryan Hughes, a man not seen on EVPW Television since being screwed out of the Television title and banned from EVPW programming. The night also saw the return of cult hero Nicholas Carson as Demon's partner; little Nicky had been away for a while.
In the early stages of the match, the arena was shocked as Ryan Hughes was the first man out of the 16 fighters to be eliminated, all from a presumed miscommunication with his Mexican student. An incensed Ryan soon left the building. Carson went back to his sick and twisted ways, not even stopping short of raping TNT's wounded hand in order to succeed. It was the team of Jake Diamond and Hyper Elf which would prevail though, and a night of blood and broken bodies drew to a close.
Act II- The Straw That Broke the Camel's Back
WNG- 4th November 2009
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ring&action=display&thread=4394&page=1
Ryan was incensed after what went on at Equinox, and after a three day period to mull things over, he decided to speak out. He calls out El Nacho Grande, asking for an explanation for his “actions” on Sunday. Before he gets a chance, Ryan snaps, and attacks Nacho before revealing his alliance with Nicholas Carson and Demon. (NOTE: Carson post in segment is missing, due to account deletion). A new dawn was rising in EVPW.
Act III- World War Three
WNG/SNK – Sporadic weeks
And so war had begun. The Outcasts were down 3 members to 5, compared to the might of the Powers, but recruiting was a nothing issue. TPK fell like a domino, joining with his good buddy Nick Carson, and they finally evened the odds by getting in to the mind of Dave Carter.
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=promos&action=display&thread=4400
He finally had enough of pandering to the fans, and turned on them. He claimed that there was only 4 men who saw things his way, and those were the Outcasts. With this came a proclamation, that “The most horrific party in your life... is about to start.”.
The battle lines were drawn, and the Outcasts made a war cry like no other. The band of “brave soldiers” forced the first casualty of the war, in the form of the People's Princess, Wolverina. (Thread not available) This was nothing more than gang attack. Earlier in the night, Wolverina teamed with Jake Diamond in an intergender tag match to defeat Ryan Hughes and KaHLaN. This didn't amuse the Outcasts, so after the event on WNG, they ambushed the young woman, in order to send a message to Jake Diamond and the United Powers. Ryan tried to “justify” the actions of the Outcasts, claiming that almost every great war has been won by an Outcast. This would not be tolerated, and war begun. The first blood was claimed by the Outcasts, when they attacked the announce team and Lizzie Morna for their past involvement with SCW. Back and forth shots flew from both sides of the fence, until it was time for MadHouse. Dave Carter won the public vote to face Vladimir Strife for the Imperial Championship, whilst Ryan Hughes and Demon took the votes to face Stone Orchard, along with the Dreamers. This wasn't enough for Hughes though...
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=aao&action=display&thread=4453
After the latest WNG, Ryan went to pay GM Vortigern a visit, wanting to know why he wasn't in the Imperial title frame. He even resorted to death threats, but Vortigern was too clever. The GM roped in Stone Orchard to beat the Mancunian senseless, rendering him futile.
Act IV- Substitution
WNG
Part 1- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=locker&action=display&thread=4573
Part 2- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ring&action=display&thread=4574
Throughout the war, there were tremors within the Outcasts camp, and on November 24th, these tremors broke them somewhat. After recruiting Tayler Nathan Thomas to their cause, they set off on a mission- they were going to impeach their leader, Nicholas Carson. He got too violent for them, and it was not the way of the Outcasts. So they did just that, sending Nicky off to rehab in the process. Later that night, Ryan Hughes addressed the fans, proclaiming himself as the man to lead the Outcasts in to a new era. And with this, the stage was set for MadHouse.
Act V- MadHouse: Let the Battle Commence
Ascension Match- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=mh&action=display&thread=5018
Carter vs Strife- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=mh&action=display&thread=5023
MadHouse was widely speculated as the warzone for one of the biggest battles in EVPW history. What it did turn out to be though, was one of the most emphatically won battles, if anything. In the six-man Ascension match, Stone Orchard emerged victorious, but not without it's own casualties. Neither Demon, nor Metal Dragon could finish the match de to the severity of their injuries, but Oliveira managed to retain the title following a Magnum DDT off a ladder on Ryan Hughes.
Later in the night, Dave Carter and Vladimir Strife duked it out in a 60-minute Pure Wrestling Ironman Match, for the EVPW Imperial Champiionship. Dave gained the early couple of points from clever tactics, getting Vlad disqualified, and employing the count out rule. Vlad's power proved too much in the end, and he won by a single point. A resounding victory for the United Powers.
Act VI- Dropping Like Flies
WNG after MadHouse
After MadHouse, Metal Dragon seemingly retired from wrestling, leaving Matt Oliveira without a co-champion. It was tough for both sides, as TNT, TPK and Dave Carter defected from the Outcasts, and Jake Diamond and Hyper Elf were MIA. The next WNG, Oliveira was made to defend his tag title in an “All or Nothing” match, against Ryan Hughes- one on one. This was a first for EVPW, and it delivered on it's hype.
Match- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=archives&action=display&thread=4930
Ending- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ring&action=display&thread=4924
Both men were obviously battle weary, and another title match didn't help either man. They still battled like champions though, but it was a sly interference from Smarky Smark which dealt the deadly blow. From behind, he clocked Oliveira with Ryan's GHW Championship, leaving him hurt, and vulnerable to the Batman Lock. Ryan did just that, forcing Matt to the humiliating practice of tapping in submission. Ryan was the sole possessor of the United Glory Tag Team Championships.
Act VII- The Last Stand
WNG episodes leading up to, and including End of Innocence
This was it. With Oliveira on the shelf, the power struggle whittled down to two men- Ryan Hughes and Vladimir Strife. Ryan sought to take advantage of the new General Manager, Lawrence Winchester, by pressuring him in to a title match at End of Innocence.
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ring&action=display&thread=4942
Ryan interrupted Winchester during his introduction to the fans, by telling him that he was the one who should get the next title shot. Lawrence quickly calmed him down, but caused the fans to go mad after announcing the Batman as the number one contender. Ryan proclaimed a new era....The Hughes Era.
Vlad was lost in a swirl of confusion and self concern. He needed help.
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=backstage&action=display&thread=5138
And who else to turn to but KingBear, the very man that trained him. They finally patched up their differences, and Strife asked for his help. Why was Ryan getting the jump on him? Why was he letting Ryan crawl under his skin? Eventually, he came up with an answer- no more Mr. Nice Guy.
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=promos&action=display&thread=5139
Vladimir finally addressed Ryan, reminding him of people in the past who claimed to be the man to stop the Behemoth- Rhaps, Oliveira, Commonwealth, Dragon... none of them conquered Strife. He implored Ryan to place his GHW title on the line against his Imperial Championship. He would soon get an answer...
evpw.proboards.com/thread/6162/king
In the form of head trauma. Ryan and Vlad came face to face for the contract signing, and Vlad practically begged for Ryan to wager his belt. Ryan finally caved following comments about him “backing down”, something that is against Ryan's principles. After accepting the clause, he slammed the belt across his head, before announcing that the match at End of Innocence would be a Mancunian Streetfight.
Vlad vs. Desp- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=archives&action=display&thread=5237
Ending- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ring&action=display&thread=5097
Later that night, Strife battled Desperado in the main event of that week's WNG, with Ryan Hughes on guest commentary like we was for the rest of the night. Before the end of the match, Ryan tried to save Vlad from getting beat, handing him an illegal weapon which Vlad refused bluntly. The referee caught wind of this, and ejected Ryan from ringside. This provided enough of a distraction for Vlad to take out Desp with a Skesis Driver, much to Ryan's twisted delight. After the match, Ryan came back, attacking Vlad, before hitting the WTG on to the Imperial Title, and claiming that this was the changing of the guard.
This event led us in to End of Innocence, and the stage (or parking lot) was set for the main event, and possibly the defining moment of EVPW's future. I won't spoil it for you:
Mancunian Streetfight- evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ppvmatches&action=display&thread=5126
The Aftermath
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=locker&action=display&thread=5244&page=1
The intense match left Ryan in a fragile mental state, and causing himself to realise something, somewhere is wrong with him, although it took a trashed dressing room to realise this. He questioned the flaws of almost everyone on the EVPW roster, all whilst continuously talking to himself. In the end, his emotions took over, and he tearfully realised something was wrong. Meanwhile, AJ Scally won the chance to be Ryan's partner, by capturing the second UG Title. The two don't get on well, despite AJ's attempts to make things work.
evpw.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ring&action=display&thread=5253
For no real plausible reason, Ryan set his sights upon the Proeliator, sending him to the medical room, before explaining his flaws.
(Will probably add to this with more detail sometime)
