Are you scared? You're not sure what's going on? What is this weird site with all these words? Well let me start it off by saying simply.. You should be scared! Ha! Just kidding. Ok it's really simple.. I'm going to post a few Frequently Asked Questions and hopefully this will help alleviate the stress of joining a new RP site.
Please feel free to view our Site Rules for questions on how we do things.
Our show format is pretty simple and easy to follow. Please read this as well and post questions about that in the thread linked.
What is this place?
Well, simply put, this is a roleplay website. But more in depth, it is a site specifically for Roleplaying in the Wrestling Genre.
How do I start?
Easy! Fill out a contract in our Employee Database section. Post it in your own thread and wait for approval from a Staff Member.
So.. Wait.. Why cant I post in the promo area? What's going on? I created my contract..
Well, it's quite simple.. You wont be able to post in any of the RP sections until your contract is approved by a staff member. We will try to approve members within a matter of hours if we can depending on how busy we are.. If you havent been approved in a while, feel free to PM KingBear or Vladimir Strife and we should be able to help out. After that, get to roleplaying!
What is roleplaying?
Easy enough, it's creating a character in your head and writing out what happens to that character. For instance, a lot of people that play DnD are also technically considered Roleplayers because they play the role of their character in their game.
The best answer I can give is this: Roleplaying is picking a genre and writing a story with another person.
Ok.. So what do you do here?
Well, as I said, we roleplay in the wrestling Genre. We have faces (good guys), heels (bad guys) and tweeners (eh guys). Once every other week, we will post what we call a Match Card and pit people against each other in matches. In a match, you simply write out what is happening in the match.
Now this is where we differ from most sites, which is also the reason our profiles are so specific. You control the other character in the match! Dont be too greedy though.. If you post that you're winning everything and reversing every single move, we call that power posting and that is one of the easiest ways to lose a match.
Wait.. You can lose a match?
Of course you can! That's the best part about this site, you dont have to figure out how to get out of the fight you're in like you would on any other site. After a week of writing with someone, the match ends and the General Managers will judge the matches and decide who wins.
So.. I know this.. But how do I write a match?
Quite simple really.. One of our members wrote up a "Match Writing for Dummies". Please have a look at that for some tips and tricks from one of our greats.
So.. How do I win?
Well, we judge matches on a lot of factors.. Creativity, spelling, grammar, fluidity and many other important aspects to the match.
What are those things you just listed?
For this one, it differs by person sometimes.. Just ask another member or a staff member. If you lose a match, ask a staff member why you lost. But do it politely and we may explain the various differences between your post and the other persons posts.
So.. Do matches ever get rigged?
ALL THE TIME! That's what's awesome about Efedding, it's as much about storyline as it is about the matches. You can purposely throw a match or tell your GM you want to lose a match just to continue a storyline and give your character an edge! It's AWESOME!
Alright.. I figured all this out.. Where the heck is this Solid Core Gym located? And the Lockdown Gym?
Quite simple.. Solid Core Gym is located in Concord, California. No I dont have an address because the place doesnt actually exist. Concord is located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Lockdown Gym on the other hand is located in Oakland, California. Lockdown Gym is much larger than Solid Core gym and when EVPW has it's Pay Per Views, this is where they will take place.
Ok.. So all of the easy stuff aside.. I saw the way you made the pics smaller and next to each other in the threads like in JP & Ray's Post. How do I make pics like that?
It's easy really.. But instead of typing it all out here.. Check out our Quick Tips in the Tech Support Thread.
Wait.. Am I even on a show yet? Do you guys even have a roster?
Of course we have a roster, and if your contract was accepted, you're probably already on it and on one of the shows. Here's the Roster to make it easy for you. Though not everyone on the roster will get a match. Some people go inactive and most of the time, especially in our early stages, we send out PMs to see who even wants a match when the card goes up. We usually allow edits on the card Up to the following Thursday at Midnight. If you join and want to be in a match. Post in our Bi-Weekly Bar brawl. It's FUN!
At this point, I dont have any other questions I can think of being asked.. So if you have more and I get asked A LOT of questions, I will find time to post more questions and answers. At this point, I hope you enjoy the fed and your time here.
