Duncan Kelly vs. Sammy Fresh vs. Bishamon

A large number of seats in the arena remain to be filled, as the audience slowly settles into their places. A number of production workers seem to be testing the ring ropes and checking the barricade that surrounds the ring as the competitors in the ring loosen up. They await the last man in the match to make his way down to the ring so that the pay-per-view can kick off.

Sammy Fresh seems focused on the task at hand, shadow elbowing in a corner. The young wrestler, excited at the chance to make a name for himself in EVPW, considers this match an important step in the right direction going by the intensity written on his face. Duncan Kelly rests on the ropes, with a calm expression on his face. He exudes confidence coupled with a slight amount of disdain for his opponent.

Tonight promises to be one of those events that fans ramble on about on the internet till kingdom come, simply due to the sheer brilliance that seems inevitable due to the matches on offer. The fans seem to sense this and buzz impatiently as suddenly, the lights go out.

A sole spotlight focusses next to the start of the entrance ramp, and two women come into view. The women are dressed in purple and black kimonos. The word kimono might literally mean 'a thing to wear' but these ladies seem to take their styling seriously as their attire looks to be of expensive nature, as suggested by the silky, shiny texture. Next to them, rests a circular gong. The lady in purple picks it whilst her counterpart in black produces a stick with a cloth ball at the end. She begins to strike the gong gently as white fog begins to form around them. A very oriental sort of tune begins to play on a flute.

As soon as the third gong hits, pyrotechnics go off from behind the ladies. The fog stops and the spotlight switches off. After a couple of seconds of the arena being plunged in darkness, the spotlight reappears and focuses on a figure making his way down to the ring. He/She is covered in black robes with a large purple crown like structure placed on his/her head. The crowd seems to be puzzled as to who exactly this is, and the wrestlers in the ring seem be equally flummoxed, as can be seen in the dim light they are standing in. The spotlight follows the figure into the ring as the flute playing stops. The ladies begin to redo their gong act as the person in the ring raises his hands above his head.

Pyrotechnics go off all over the arena as the spotlight is replaced by the regular lights. The ladies take the gong and head backstage as the figure in the ring begins to tremble uncontrollably. Fresh and Kelly exchange glances as the figure removes the crown from his/her head before beginning to disrobe in the ring. The black robes come off and we see a man with jet black hair and face paint standing facing the other two wrestlers. His bare chest is filled with various cuts and bruises, suggesting that this is not his first time in an environment such as this. He is also shown to be wearing black full-tights with a single pad on his right knee. His hands are taped in white. The one thing that strikes all the fans isn't his attire though. Rather, it's his face. Eyeballs concentrated straight ahead, the face paint adds an almost satanic detail to his features. Purple and black lines streak across his temple, almost as if to suggest a battle of forces within the latest wrestler to grace the EVPW ring.

He makes his way to a corner and sits on the canvas, his head resting between the first and second turnbuckles. His gaze is still dead straight as a referee enters the ring and motions for the bell to be rung as this one gets under way ..

OOC: I'm posting under the assumption that a ring announcer doesn't introduce wrestlers in a dark match. Let me know if you guys want to change that. And I've taken a bit of liberty with your characters' mannerisms. Feel free to do so with mine.
