The EVPW area is a-buzz with noise as the ever-faithful fans eagerly await the start of the first episode of WNG after the monumental Madhouse PPV. They get even louder as the arena lights shut off and the words Welcome to Horrorland appear on the titantron in dripping slime green letters, signalling the arrival of the Nightmare Warrior; Skull. The letters slowly begin to drip off the screen until the arena is in total darkness once again. Then as suddenly as they turned off, the lights return to reveal the High Priest of Horrorland standing at the top of the entrance ramp. The crowd give the veteran a huge ovation which continues as he walks down the entrance ramp. Lizzie: The following match is your opening contest and will be a triple threat match. Introducing first from Horrorland, weighing in at 224lbs, Skuuuuuullll!Skull walks down the ramp, accompanied by God Module's "Spooky". He is wearing his usual gothic ring gear underneath a long, black, hooded cloak. When he reaches the ring steps, he lowers the hood to reveal his long black hair which almost covers his painted face. JP: Skull came up short at Madhouse against Scott Walker and Sean Danielson but tonight he competes in another 3 way match where he hopes to have better luck.Ray: With Demon and Sycho Sam as his opponents, he’s going to have his work cut out for him.TBC

As the two men in the ring look across at one another, sizing each other up, the lights of the arena suddenly drop into total darkness. A deep booming gong rings through the speaker system, announcing the arrival of one of the most vicious men to ever set foot in an EVPW ring. As the lights come back up, Demon stands at the top of the stage and Natural Born Killer by Avenged Sevenfold begins to play. His eyes peer out from behind his mask down at the two men in the ring. He glances quickly left and right, taking in the sights and sounds that the arena holds before beginning his slow descent towards the ring.
"And introducing the final competitor in this triple threat match, hailing from parts unknown. He stands six feet seven inches tall and weighs in at three hundred and twelve pounds, he is the Monster of the Abyss, Demon!"
"There is some major history here in this match tonight, Ray. I don't know how many of you remember this, but when Demon made his EPVW debut, Sycho Sam was one of the men he faced in a triple threat match."
"And not only that, but the debuting Demon also snagged his first win in EVPW in that match. If there's one thing for certain, Sycho Sam may want to get him back for that one, even if it was so long ago."
Demon steps up the steel steps of the ring. As he steps over the taut ropes of the ring, he never takes his eyes off of his two opponents. The fans jump up in their seats, as they can feel that this will be a match of epic proportions, and one hell of a way to kick of Wednesday Night Genesis. The referee directs the three men into separate corners, and then signals for the bell. The ringing noise echoes through the arena and the fans begin screaming, anticipating a great match.
"And here we go, I can't wait to see how this one plays out."
"I just really hope that Demon doesn't win. I was really happy when he was kicked from the company, and really didn't want him to come back."

As the sound of the bell fades from the audible range, many of the fans are on their feet. They scream loudly, as the match that is set to kick off this edition of Wednesday Night Genesis is bound to be one for the ages. The three men within the squared circle look back and forth between one another. Skull and Sam lock eyes, and nod at each other, a plan forming between the two. They rush across the ring, and both attacking their larger opponent. The two smaller men begin swinging fists, landing hard, painful blows that cause Demon to double over in pain. Pressed up against the turnbuckle, the Monster of the Abyss slowly sinks down, and the combined forces of Sycho Sam and Skull begin using kicks instead of punches. As their feet land on the midsection of Demon, he ends up on his back, his masked face looking up at the lights high above him. It looks as if the big man is going to be taken out of the match before it even really begins. The fans begin screaming louder, loving that one of the most hated superstars in EVPW history is being dismantled before their very eyes.
And as suddenly as their tag team attack had started, it suddenly ends. Sycho Sam takes advantage of Skull's continued focus on destroying the body of Demon, delivers an elbow strike to the side of the head of the Horrorland Hellion. Skull drops to the mat, and Sam pounces on him. The fans immediately begin booing, not liking the way in which Sam took down one of the fan favorites. The Hardcore Headbanger leans down and grabs Skull by his neck, easily lifting him back up to his feet. Grabbing the Prince of Aerialists by his wrist, Sam whips him around at the ropes. As Skull's back hits the taut ring ropes, he is bounced back at the waiting for of Sycho Sam. The Psychotic One stretches out his arm, going for the textbook move known as the clothesline. Unfortunately for him, however, Skull ducks under the attempt and bounces off the opposite ropes as well. On his way back, the Pureblood leaps into the air, turning his body parallel to the mat below him. His torso and the torso of Sycho Sam collide, driving the Hardcore Headbanger back first into the mat. Skull jumps to his feet and begins pumping up the crowd. They cheer back appreciatively, hoping beyond hope that this man be the one who emerges victorious from this contest.
"And what a way to kick of Wednesday Night Genesis. We've seen Demon being basically taken out of the match early, and we've also seen Sycho Sam try to take out Skull with a sneaky shot."
"A bad move by Sammy boy. Skull took him down with a flying crossbody. But if you think Demon is down and out, you are an idiot. I really don't want to admit it, but it's going to take a lot more to take him out of this contest."
And as if the words of Ray White carried some immeasurable power, the large form of Demon begins to stir from the canvas. Skull, too busy focusing on playing the crowd, does not notice this. The masked form of Demon begins to push himself up, and noticing his great opportunity, hurries to strike. Rushing forward, Demon extends out his arm, and his forearm connects with the back of the skull of Skull, driving him back down to the mat for the second time in as many moments. Demon does not play to the crowd, and instead immediately sets to work. He bends down and grabs Skull by his hair, pulling him back up to his feet by his dark locks. The Prince of Aerialists winces in pain as his hair is nearly parted from his scalp by the force of the large man before him. Demon places his right arm between the legs of Skull, and easily lifts him into the air. Without hesitation, Demon then moves on to slam Skull back first into the canvas. The Horrorland Hellion arches his back in pain, as his spine bounces off the canvas. Demon grins from behind his mask, loving causing another human being pain.
"I told you Jimmy. Don't ever count Demon out."
"Yea, yea. And we're all sure that you know everything that is going to happen in every match Ray."
The wily veteran Demon does not gloat long, knowing that doing so could very easily cost him the match. Sure enough, as he glances around, he notices that Sycho Sam is already back on his feet, and Skull is slowly dragging himself over to the ropes, attempting to pull himself back up as well. Sam rushes over lifting up his boot to attempt to hit the big man with a big boot. The Demonic One moves out of the way with barely a millisecond to spare, and the sole of Sam's boot instead collides with the head of Skull. The force of the blow drives him through the ropes and out of the ring. Sam looks down at the man whom he accidentally attacked, and shrugs, not really caring at all that he just took out Skull, at least for a little while. He turns to face Demon. Two men who have immense history. Flashes of Demon's debut match appear in the mind of the Monster of the Abyss, and the two approach each other cautiously.
The two reach out their hands, locking up in a collar-and-elbow tie up. Demon's greater strength soon has him pushing the Hardcore Headbanger back into a turnbuckle. The Demonic One then releases the tie up and begins to rain knife edge chops against the chest of Sam. Each strike echoes around the arena, and a large red mark begins to form on the chest of Sycho Sam. He winces in pain, but manages to clear his head enough to block one of Demon's strikes, and returns with one of his own. Caught off guard, Demon is driven back. Feeling the momentum beginning to switch in his favor, the Psychotic One pushes his advantage, driving Demon back with ever quicker and stronger strikes. As Demon stumbles backwards, Sam rushes toward the ropes. As he bounces back, he rushes past Demon, and comes to a stop. Grabbing Demon around the neck, the Hardcore Headbanger drops down to the mat, driving the back of Demon's skull into his shoulder. Sam jumps up to his feet and releases a primal roar. As he turns around with his arms high in the air, Skull leaps off of the top rope of the turnbuckle behind him. As his legs land on the shoulders of Sycho Sam, he twists back, flipping Sycho Sam back first into the mat, and immediately stealing all of the momentum from him. The Prince of Aerialists remains on top of Sam, forcing the pin. The ref slides along side them, checking that both of Sycho Sam's shoulders are indeed against the mat before beginning the count.
ONE!
TWO!
Sam drives his right shoulder off the mat before flopping back down to the canvas. Skull cannot believe it, sure that he had stolen the match. He jumps back up to his feet and gets into a ready position, preparing himself to continue this match.
"Oh so close! I was sure that Skull had clinched this match right there. That was a devastating maneuver, and it looked like Sam was going to be out for the count."
"What a great match. I can't wait to see how this one is going to play out."

Skull looks at the referee in disbelief, sure that he had the match won with his signature Skullcanrana. The fans too are shocked that The Psychotic One kicked out and begin a slow clapping chant to encourage their man. The Hellion surveys his surroundings and sees that Demon is beginning to get back up to a vertical base after the assult from Sycho Sam. Sam himself is also beginning to stir at The Pureblood’s feet. Looking to kill two birds with one stone, Skull drags the Lahore native up to his feet then spikes him in the midsection with a the toe of his boot to double him over. Sam cries out in pain but he soon has much larger problems (literally) when Skull throws him into the path of the oncoming Demon. Sam’s right shoulder collides with Demon’s stomach, stopping both men’s momentum and raising the former Imperial champion’s ire. Demon attempts to push is semi-conscious rival out of the way but he doesn’t get the chance as the second part of Skull’s plan is already in motion. Before the big man can react, the self appointed Prince of Aerialists leaps into the air, plants his left foot on the back of Sycho Sam then swings his right leg around and nails Demon in the back of the head with a stiff Enzuigiri. Demon’s eyes roll into the back of his head and he topples down to the mat, temporarily unconscious from the stiff kick to the head. Unfortunately for Sam, The Monster’s momentum takes him down to the mat too and he finds himself the victim of an unintentional DDT from the big man.
JP: What a move by Skull, taking out two opponents in one go.
Ray: Sam’s head hit the mat with a sick thud there, Jimmy. He may be out.
JP: Skull needs to pin one of these men now and this match could be his.
Taking JP’s advice, Skull leaps on top of the nearest man to him, who on this occasion is Demon and quickly hooks his leg for the three count. The referee checks on Demon’s shoulders then administers his count.

Demon kick out!
The fans let out a sigh of disappointment as Demon gets his shoulder up which is matched by the expression on Skull’s face. Undeterred, The High Priest of Horrorland crawls over to Sycho Sam and lies horizontally over his chest, placing all of his weight over The Hardcore Headbanger’s shoulders then places his forearm across to face to add more pressure to the pin. The referee once again checks that the shoulders are down then counts a second pinfall for The Pureblood.

Sycho Sam kicks out!
Ray: I don’t believe it. I thought he had it.
JP: These are three tough competitors. It will take a lot to put any of them away.
As Sam kicks out of the pin, the fans let their disappointment be known once again, this time booing The Psychotic One for kicking out. The Hellion can’t believe that both of his opponents kicked out and lets his frustration get the better of him by pounding the mat with his fist. This frustration costs him as he doesn’t notice Demon get up to his feet and sneak up behind him. This is until The Monster makes his presence known by placing his giant hands on each side of Skull’s head and lifts him up to his feet. Once up to a vertical base, The Prince of Aerialists breaks free of Demon’s grip and spins around aiming a fist at the big man’s jaw. The punch connects and causes The Monster to take a step backward but doesn’t appear to do any real damage. Skull tries another, connecting with Demon’s jaw again but this time his opponent doesn’t even move. Skull begins to realise the futility of his situation and takes a step back while he thinks of a new game plan. Demon merely smirks down at him, knowing there is little the cruiserweight can do that will have any effect on him. Out of desperation, Skull lunges himself at his opponent and rushes him with a series of rapid fire punches. Without Sam by his side to rain in extra blows, this proves to me a much more difficult task than Skull remembered and most of his punches bounce off The Demonic One and cause little or no damage. As a last resort, The Pureblood turns on his heels and runs away from his opponent. However, instead of fleeing, he rebounds off the ring ropes then uses the extra momentum to charge his larger opponent. Once his is within Demon’s reach, Skull springs up off of his feet, turns his body horizontal and throws his entire body weight at The Monster of the Abyss. This may have worked against Sycho Sam but not against the 6’7” 300+ pound Demon and Skull lands right in his opponent’s arms.
JP: This doesn’t look good for Skull.
Ray: Like I always say, size matters. Skull just isn’t big enough to get the job done.
With Skull firmly in his grip, another sick smile spreads across Demon’s face as he decides what to do with his helpless foe. He makes his choice and lifts The Prince of Aerialists up above himself in a gorilla press position then walks him over to the ropes. The fan begin to make some noise, hoping to rally Skull up but he can do nothing as Demon tosses him over the top rope like yesterday’s trash. The aerialist appears to lose his wings and is left to plummet the more than 10 foot drop from the top of Demon’s outstretched arms to the thinly padded concrete floor below. The crowd wince as their hero hits the floor with thud that heard around the entire arena then remains there motionless in black and white heap.
JP: Oh my God! That looked brutal, Jimmy.
Ray: Skull may need medical attention after that fall.
Back in the ring, the fans serenade Deman with a chorus of boos for his actions but the former Imperial champion ignores them and looks down on the carnage he has created. Behind him, Sycho Sam returns to the fray and sneaks up on his perennial rival. While both Demon and the referee have their backs turned and their attention focused on Skull, the psychotic opportunist takes advantage of the situation and raises his forearm up between Demon’s legs, delivering a devastating low blow. For the first and possibly last time, the fans cheer both Sycho Sam and a low blow as The Hardcore Headbanger becomes the lesser of two evils. Sam follows up on his assault almost immediately by wrapping his arm around Demon’s head then intertwining his leg around Demon’s leg. From here, he leans back then falls forward, taking Demon down with him and planting the monster face first into the mat. Hoping to steal the victory and go one up on his nemesis, Sam wastes no time in going for the pin.

The referee’s hand rises for the third and final time, just a second away from declaring Sam the winner. The Psychotic One can almost taste victory but before the referee’s hand can fall for the last time Demon does the unthinkable and kicks out.
Ray: Demon kicked out! How did he do that?
JP: I thought he had him for sure, but on this occasion Sam’s nefarious tactics didn’t pay off. This just show the resiliance of a veteran like Demon.
