There is a dark room present as the words ‘Mr. Ace presents Deck of Cards’ appears. Light suddenly floods trough, in the form of a spot-light to give the view of the room which happens to be an empty casino giving the possibility it is after hours. Mr Ace appears out of the shadows with a pack of cards in his hands. He is dressed in a smart black Armani suit with matching shoes and a shining Rolex watch. He shuffles the cards in a water-fall fashion as they jump across from one hand to the other. He finishes off as he slams the pack on a poker table. The Ace of spades happens to flip out to the top. Mr Ace gleams a smile at the camera.

“Welcome all to the fourth edition of my show. I’m your host Antonio Corradi Esquire or better known as Mr. Ace. I offer you a belated merry Christmas greeting and a happy new year. This will be covering the past two showings of Saturday Night Knockout and Wednesday Night Genesis so bear with me.”
A closer look at the table shows a bottle of wine with a glass and a separate deck of cards. Antonio takes hold of the bottle and prises it open before letting it flow into his glass. He carefully lifts it upright again making sure not to let even a drip go to waste. A small sip is taken before Mr Ace continues to speak.
“We‘ve had some gruelling matches, a handful of disappointing no-shows and some breathtaking displays not to mention any particular matches *Cough* Vlad vs Carson *Cough*. So lets get this show on the road”
Mr Ace arranges a set of ten cards in a row across the table. Each represents a number ranging from 10 to 2 whilst the last one has a large ‘A’ in the middle. He takes a card from a separate pile already placed on the desk. A card representing a wrestler is taken out and places it beneath the number ten. The camera closes in to show a close-up.

“Azumi didn‘t have the best of weeks. Although she picked up a win by default thanks to her opponent Alex Stall not showing up. She happened to have partnered Thomas Cathy to defeat by the unlikely team of Demon and Angel.”

A cards is taken out of the pile this time and placed beneath number nine.

“Since King Bear is pretty much the only member of the Coven that is still performing well, I thought we would give him an individual spot in the deck of cards. King Bear this past week was involved in a fatal-four way that also included The Purest, Ricky Masters and the One-Winged Angel, Chris Pyro. King Bear showered the lot with his experience and won the match without too much trouble. He goes into End of Innocence on a high as he looks to take on the much disturbing, Reaper.”

Another superstar is taken from the deck and placed at the number eight spot. Antonio takes a small sip of his wine before continuing.

The Saviour of EVPW not only defeated Evan the Fallen Angel in what happened to be the main event of last week‘s Saturday night but also won his match this past week against Nathan Drake. Can he make I three in a row next week at End of Innocence against Dominik Santiago.”

“Since Desperado split up from the XWO, I thought I‘d give him his very own spot in the deck of cards. Desperado won both of his matches last week to continue his winning streak which now holds three matches. One of the matches was a default win over David Payne whilst the second was a intriguing match against Chris Pyro in the Imperial Championship tournament to book his place in the final round that takes place on Sunday night at the End of Innocence Pay-Per-View.”

“Another win for Zombie keep him at the sixth spot in my deck of cards. Since the night he debuted, he has been very impressive. Although he isn‘t much of a talker, this Zombie fellah is turning heads with his monstrous style in the ring. What more can we expect of him? I say a lot, lot more.”

Mr. Ace looks through the pile of cards and shuffles through to find the three separate cards for the fifth position and places them at the number five spot.

“Although Evan lost out against Jake Diamond, he did manage to pick up a win against Curate Cadaverous last week to claim a victory for the XWO. NVX also added two victories with back-to-back wins over El Cunajo Blanco over two weeks. Things are looking hot for NVX and not for ECB.
Speaking of HOT! Angel continues to impress. She also picked up back-to-back victories. The first being a default win over Himanshu who happened to have missed the match and the second was dangerous tag-team bout against Azumi and Thomas Cathy whilst having to partner Demon. I wonder what they‘ll have in store for us next week. NVX is obviously part of the finals of the Imperial Championship Tournament after picking up a victory over ECB in the opening round. Angel will be allying with her rival and friend Amanda Hallsworth as they take on the sadistic Rhaps.”

“Remaining in fourth position we have the Dragon‘s Rage Champion, Metal Dragon. This will be a kind of a shocker for the poor guy considering his absolute form that has kept him undefeated since the start of the SNK show here on EVPW. His undefeated streak saw him bully his way past the newcomer Gangster and then gifted another victory by David Payne performing another no-show. What will become of his when he takes on Crazy Boy at End of Innocence? Will his run continue or will Crazy Boy end his reign.

- Vladimir T. Strife -
“That brings us down to our final three. Ok, this amazing guy shocked the world this past week as he took on the devil himself in the form of Nicholas Carson in a Last Man Standing match. I can’t tell you about the entertainment of your life-time performance he put in to come out victorious once again to take his record to one below half century. Vladimir Strife has become a house-hold name in America for a long time. I don‘t for a moment doubt, this guy will be on everybody‘s lips on the whole planet soon. Carson has left him in critical condition after the match. He defeated Carson and Death in the same night. I can‘t wait to see him in action again. He takes on the newly crowned champion Demon at the End of Innocence Pay-Per-View.”

“Crazy Boy continues to impress the SNK crowd with his above awesome performances. His match against Phenomena last week won a handful of applause from the critics and fans alike as Crazy Boy looks to become a major force in EVPW. Next week is the showdown between the two champions, Metal Dragon and Crazy in a winner takes all match. They will be participating in a dragon‘s dungeon match. I‘m not sure what that is, so you‘ll all have to watch it to find out.

”The Imperfects have done it again. Carson loss could have been crucial had he not picked himself right back up and muscled his way past Corrin Cobain to book a spot in the Imperial Championship Tournament Finals. Carson joins NVX, Duke Taylor and Desperado in the TLC match that will determine the number one contender for Demon‘s title.
Speaking of Demon, he picked up another two wins against the former champion Thomas Cathy. Firstly he competed alongside his rival Angel Morgan to defeat Azumi and Cathy and then picked up a win by no-show against Cathy the following week. He goes into End Of Innocence full of confidence. Can this confidence help him achieve what many believe is unachievable?”

Mr Ace takes forth three cards from the wrestler pile and places one of them at the Jack spot.

“In such a short period of time, Justin Saviour managed to put together a group of talented wrestlers who call themselves the Destined as they believe the time for the veterans and big names is gone and the Destined will take over. They have established a firm rivalry against the Xtreme World Order claiming the largely popular group is almost finished thanks the betrayal of Desperado and believe they are now the most dominant force in EVPW.”

The final card out of the three is placed down and a smirk appears on Antonio’s face.

“His influence is so powerful, he managed to swipe Desperado from under the noses of the XWO. This guy has the intelligence and cunningness of an evil genius who could take over the world with his shrewd schemes. Desperado has now stabbed XWO in the back to join the Imperfects. The two even enjoyed a game of Imperfect Roulette with Duke Taylor‘s would to be wife held against her wishes as the target. That sick, sick man managed to wound the poor girl and left her in a bloody mess as his game ended in the bullet piercing Ms. Taylor‘s skin but leaving her alive.”
Mr Ace takes another card from the cards deck and reveals it beneath the joker.

Desperado
“For the fact that he rambled and lectured his former team-mate Evan into understanding the importance of being part of the XWO and stopped him from the leaving the group only to later go against everything he had mentioned as he joined the Imperfects via a simple request from Nicholas Carson. That for me is very low and the fact that he sent Evan to the mat with a one-hit KO uppercut was appalling. I‘m not sure if the poor fellah will trust another person again.”
Mr Ace packs up all the cards on the desk and separates them back into the separate two piles he started with. He pushes his seat back and lets himself out of the seat. He begins to walk around the casino as the camera continues to follow him.
