Since many of you joining EVPW may not be used to writing up your matches, I will give you some guidelines at what to do and how to do so with some examples.
(1):: First you post your entrance, possibly sticking with the one you posted for you contract. You should describe your entrance focusing on the following.
(i)- How you come out through the entrance.
e.g. fireworks erupt, pyro's, Rey Mysterio's entrance etc.
(ii)- Describe your clip that shows on the titan-tron as well mentioning your entrance music.
(iii)- Talk about what you are wearing, your attire.
(iv)- Call the match as the Announcer. Mention the superstar, the match type, superstar weight and height.
(v)- How you walk down the ramp and the way the crowd judges, cheers or boo's. You could mention some of the signs they are holding up.
(vi)- Use the commentators to describe what you are doing and why they think this. Also it sets a sense of reality.
(vii)- Write about how you enter the ring and what you do once you are in there.
(2):: Second, you write a short Roleplay if you like. This is optional in which you can build the feud or just trash talk.
(3):: Once the other superstar has posted their entrance you may begin the match-up.
Start off with the referee calling the match with a bell. Start off with more technical moves like holds and strikes. Describe each superstars reaction and actions trying to add detail so the other person can picture what is happening.
Whilst doing this add posts of commentary in between from the commentators talking about exciting bits on the match or what they think is going to happen.
Write up between 3-8 paragraphs of wrestling in each post after the entrance with each paragraph holding 4 lines minimum. The limit to the post is optional.
Once the match has started to get going, you can get onto other moves like high-power or aerialist moves. You can mention pins breaking up and superstar reactions. Put in a few trademark moves.
((Remember to use your opponents and your own move set-list. Don't move too far away from the contract. I don't mind you using a few different moves now and again as long as they match your wrestler type.))
Once the match is gone a couple of posts each, you can look upon putting in a finisher or two and mention escaping significant submissions or escaping finishers. Perhaps knocking both superstars out and begin counting them out.
Stick to the superstar personality. Heel stars will try illegal moves whilst the Referee is looking away whilst Faces will grow stronger upon the chanting of the fans.
In cases of specialty matches, improvise to suit the match and use the weapons and stuff to make the match more exciting. Originality is good as long as it stays Realistic to an extent. I don't want to see shotgun's being pulled out or bombs being blown. Mention blood and fatigue in your matches if they have gone through long as this is another sign of reality.
Also when doing an RP make sure not to use your name and your opponents name every other word. Try and use a nickname or use the size difference to describe what move was done by who rather then using names every 2 words. Repetitiveness is discouraged.
These guidelines may be improved further but use them as they are for now.
