JP: "Well, we just saw Alex Night and Matthew Oliveira tear each other apart! What can we expect from the next bout, Ray?"Ray: "Dominik vs. Dragon... One side of me wants to go with history, but the side of me that is right more often says the bad boy, the Hardcore Assassin, takes this one."The bell sounds three times as the fans quiet down, looking at a pole raised from each ring post, each with a kendo stick hanging from it. Lizzie: "The following is a Singapore Cane Match scheduled for one fall!""Casket Garden" by Dismember begins ripping through the sound system of the arena. Out through the curtain steps Metal Dragon, clad in long black tights and black boots, also with his tag belt over his shoulder. MD looks over the crowd, seeing such signs as "MD > Dom", "SNK is Orchard", and "I FUCKING BLOOD". Dragon smirks slightly at the cheering crowd as he passes them. "Well, what's going through the mind of this man?""Probably how to use wood properly for the next few minutes.""Okay, I'll admit, that was kinda funny. Anyway, hell, we finally get to call a Dragon/Santiago match again!""SEXINESS."Locking his eyes on the weapons hanging from poles overhead, a montage of classic moments between the two flipping by in his head, fueling his adrenaline. The Nashville resident walks up the ring steps and hands the belt to the referee. "Introducing first, from Nashville, Tennessee, weighing in at 220 pounds... Ladies and gentlemen, an EVPW original, one half of the United Glory Champions... The Man of Golden Words... This is Metal Dragon!"A focused MD steps through the ropes and looks at Lizzie for a moment, thinking about taking a microphone. The gorgeous ring announcer steps toward him, offering a microphone. "...You'll see my response to his promo in a minute."Choosing to let actions speak louder than words, Dragon walks to the other side of the ring. The Man of Golden Words then stoically stares at the entranceway, awaiting his opponent, awaiting to maim him yet another time in this storied feud. TBC Dom

There was a huge fog of apprehension looming around the arena, belonging to the audience who were not as eager as the United Glory Champion to get this match underway. Despite their entire war being epic, the crowd was not as enthusiastic to see this particular battle, as the words of the Hardcore Assassin himself seemed to have gotten to them. The comments from Dominik that usually had the spectators seething had a different effect, for the crowd noticed something different in the Solid Core Champ's demeanor. They could see and feel his seriousness, as Dominik never seemed more stern. They knew the Assassin meant every word, and was determined to finally bury his biggest enemy of all time. But they weren't sure Dragon was as concerned. Despite their inner feelings of the situation, they still cheered their favorite on, making sure MD had all the support he would need. Metal Dragon leaned up in both relief and preparation, as the lights in the arena began to dim, until the entire building was swallowed in the darkness. "Plug" by Clay People suddenly hit the P.A. system, and the crowd immediately backed Metal Dragon up once again, jeering vehemently, their voice almost matching the sounds of entrance music. Red smoke suddenly began emerging from the sides of the ramp, pilling up along the stage. As the spotlight slowly advanced up the steel platform, the curtains slowly parted. The crowds abhorrence almost intensified as Santiago appeared. His arms were crossed across his chest in an 'X', his Solid Core Championship firmly wrapped around his waist. Dominik slim, black pants, and a white T-shirt, with a portrait of a bloody Metal Dragon in the center. Beneath his opponent's image, "R.I.P. 2006-2009", insinuating that this would be MD's final curtain call. Dom cocked his head back, his black locks sliding to the back of his head before he posed in a crucifix, ignited a brief display of pyrotechnics. He smiled his usual psychotic grin, before slowly marching down the ramp. Lizzie Morna: "Introducing the opponent, from Hollywood California, he is the current Solid Core Champion, the Hardcore Assassin, DOMINIK SANTIAGO!'Jimmy Pate: "And here is The Lord of the Flies. Ray, I'd take Metal Dragon over most in a heart beat, but this isn't the same Dominik we're seeing. He's a more ruthless Hardcore Assassin!"Ray White: "Who hadn't lost a match since he simultaneously destroyed both members of Stone Orchard, and crushed their Dragon's Rage Title Match chances. Metal Dragon doesn't know what he's gotten himself into!"Jimmy Pate: "One things for certain, both men will be alone. Darnez FC retired, and Matthew obviously will respect Dragon's wishes to keep his distance. This could certainly be the culmination of this feud tonight!"Ray White: "Yup. A Dominik win, and this may be the end of Metal Dragon, but if the United Glory Champion emerges victorious, he proves once again he is the superior superstar in this historic feud!"Dom ignored the fans on both sides of him, before sliding into the ring, the referee quickly pushing Metal Dragon back preventing any pre-match altercations. The Californian unstrapped his championship and pridefully hoisted it into the air, causing the lights to return to a norm. Dominik's once sinister smile vanished, his face turning into a bitter scowl as he finally made eye contact with his detested rival for the first time in the evening. Dominik approached the referee, both giving him his prestigious title and pushing him aside, allowing he and his adversary to come face to face, Metal Dragon peering into Santiago's cold while Dominik gazed into MD's confident ones. The post match stare down had the crowd, which was somewhat divided on who to root for, cheering and applauding. The tension almost seemed to rise as they leaned on one another's foreheads, both champions murmuring words of smack. DOM: "Your the lamb that shall be sacrificed MD. I'm going-" MD: "Into this canvas, and I'm gonna beat you into it!"Dominik snickered maniacally, while Metal Dragon himself smiled a smug grin, the referee once again trying to keep order before all hell could break loose as he stepping in between the two titans, directing them to their respective corners. The bell chimed thrice, and all eyes if they weren't already, were locked on the ring, as the biggest rivals in wrestling commenced to go at once again. "There's drama and now there's trauma. Physical pain is the only thing I can imagine taking place in this Singapore Cane Match.""And it's going to come down to who can dish out and take the most. Both these guys are like cockroaches, you can step on them but somehow these bastards manage to survive.""Get ready folks, this could not only be the final battle between two of the best but quite frankly, it could be a match for the ages.""Not that their previous encounters weren't, this fight just means so much more."TBCB Metal Dragon

Eyes glancing between each other and the weapons that hang high, the two opponents stand still for a moment. A "Let's go Dragon!" chant builds up, breaking the eerie silence that formed right after the bell sounded. The shirt that Santiago wears doesn't faze the Stone Orchard member one bit, and MD walks toward his opponent. After the two wrestlers gaze at each other for a few more seconds, the atmosphere drowns out all sound in the arena.
JP: "Who will make the first move..."
The Solid Core Champion smirks and answers JP's question rather quickly.
*SMACK*
Ray: "BITCH SLAP!"
The silence is shattered by Dom's palm connecting with the Tennessean's face. MD turns around and walks a few steps away as the Lord of the Flies grins sadistically and cocks his arm back, but Dragon quickly spins around and intercepts his strike with a stiff chop to the diaphragm. The impact at that very point creates a slight pop, but mostly delivers blunt pain that surges through all of the Californian's torso. MD stands up straight, then shakes his right hand out while grabbing Santiago's hair with his left hand. The tag champ stands his opponent up straight and immediately delivers a quick left to his jaw. Dom stumbles back and takes a right to the cheek before he realizes that the first punch hit him. Alternating lefts and rights from the crowd favorite send The Hardcore Assassin reeling until he finds himself pressed into the corner. Satisfied with his opening flurry of offense, MD grabs Dom's hair and pulls him out of the corner, then turns him toward the far ropes. Dragon walks with his rival in tow all the way across the ring, then throws the Californian between the top and middle ropes.
Unknown to MD, who know is beginning to climb the nearest corner for a shinai to wield, Dominik caught himself on the ropes. Dom softly drops to the floor and slides back into the ring, face burning from the punches he received just a minute ago. The Man of Golden Words unties the cane from the steel pole just as Santiago gets up, then the vengeful Hardcore Assassin waits for his prey to descend. MD blindly climbs down to the mat, turns around, and instantly is kicked in the stomach. The impact of the kick loosens Dragon's grip on the kendo stick, and therefore Dom snatches it from his hand and quickly readies it to strike. The Singapore cane is raised up as MD stands up straight in the corner, then the wooden weapon is brought down with a resounding crack on the top of the Nashvillian's head. Metal Dragon slumps in the corner in a crucifix-like pose with his arms both draped over the ropes. Dom walks up to his opponent and puts the Singapore cane right across his throat, pushing him against the padding of the turnbuckles and choking him. Dragon grabs the kendo stick and his breathing turns to snarling due to his compressed windpipe, and the referee steps close. The official considers this a submission hold, crude as it may be, and asks the victim of the choke if he wants to give up. MD delivers a low growl, slightly insulted by the procedural check, and takes it out on Santiago with a quick kick to the midsection. Dominik steps back and MD stays in his own position, then both wrestlers take a deep breath as they think about what to do next.
"Well, considering how much these two hate each other, they're wrestling a very slow match from the start, excluding the opening."
"They know each other so much that they really have to throw their usual offenses out the window. MD and Dommy also are both great at countering moves, so you can't just charge in like Rambo and start swinging punches. I'm not very surprised that this is turning into a thinking man's match."
The venomous Hardcore Assassin keeps his kendo stick ready to strike as he backs up and his opponent walks toward him. After a few steps backward, Dom plants his feet and swings the cane horizontally. MD ducks the attack and Dominik spins around 180 degrees, ending up face-to-face with his adversary again, who gladly picks up where he left off with punches to Dom's face. The Lord of the Flies staggers back after a few swift rights, then MD grabs the Singapore cane with both hands. Dominik Santiago tugs against the weapon, but just gets a kick to the stomach before the kendo stick returns to the man who originally grabbed it from above the squared circle. Immediately after the fan favorite gains control of the shinai, he lifts it overhead and swings it down. Santiago's head is the victim of the impact and he drops to one knee. MD tosses the cane to the side and instantly lifts Dominik up, then wraps an arm around the Californian's head and grabs his waist with his right hand. The Tennessean lefty then falls back while quickly snapping Dominik overhead, and the Solid Core Champ's back hits the mat courtesy of a picture-perfect Snap Suplex. Dragon doesn't let go, instead bridging for a moment and flipping his body backward to land on top of his opponent. With Dom's head still tucked under his arm, MD wraps his legs around one of Santiago's and stays there to apply a creative pin. The referee slides into position to slap the mat for the first times tonight. 1... 2... Dom manages to turn his body and get his shoulder off of the canvas.
The bloodthirsty tag champ chooses not to relent on his assault, instead rolling to the Singapore cane and putting himself in between it and Santiago. As he gets up, he grabs the weapon and uses it to push himself to a vertical base. Gripping the weapon tightly in his hands, Metal Dragon waits to swat the recovering Lord of the Flies. Dom gets to one knee and looks up at his aggressor, appearing to be shaken up from the suplex and the very uncomfortable pin that just happened. However, it takes little energy to low-blow someone, and so Dom does just that on his way up. MD gasps in pain and doubles over from the cheap strike, and Santiago rises while the spectators quickly begin booing. The heathen from Hollywood grabs both sides of the kendo stick and turns it sideways, then pulls it up into the bent over Dragon's throat. Dominik turns around, forcing the Tennessean to do so as well. The two men stand back to back for a split second before the former New Age Champion quickly sits down. MD's neck is trapped between the kendo stick and Dom's shoulder, and is therefore hurt badly when Santiago lands on the canvas. The Neckbreaker only intensifies the jeering of the crowd, as one of the most hated men in EVPW gets up with a grin on his face.
"Look at that sickening smile! He seems to hate Metal Dragon's fans as much as he hates the man himself!"
"Well, if the enemy of your enemy is your friend, then the friend of your enemy has to be your enemy by default. The Hollywood Hunk just capitalized and I personally don't see why they're so upset about it anyway, but to each his own."
"I don't see what you like about Dominik so much, but then again, I'm not the one who has a man-crush on him."
Santiago turns around while The Man of Golden Words writhes on the mat below him. Looking down at his opponent, Dom prepares the kendo stick and takes a step back. The cane is raised overhead and swings down with considerable force, smacking into the middle of the former KOTDM's back. After a resounding crack, the yelp of pain is heard from Metal Dragon's mouth. Another swing prompts another scream of agony to be uttered by the Stone Orchard member, and what will be a giant welt tomorrow morning begins to sting and burn at this moment. MD crawls away frantically, knowing that trying to get up is pointless. The Solid Core Champion dons his sinister grin once again and swings the kendo stick down once more, this time striking his nemesis in the calf. Dragon growls and winces before continuing to crawl out of the ring, taking another cane shot to the leg before Dominik lets him get out of the squared circle. As MD writhes on the ground holding his leg, The Hardcore Assassin raises the shinai into the air with one hand, the other hand erecting a middle finger to display to the crowd that supports the man he is decimating. Another volley of disapproval is audible from the crowd, but it doesn't faze the twisted Hollywood native one bit.

Dominik stood tentatively triumphant while the indignant crowd continued to voice their abhorrence. The Solid Core Champion sauntered to the ropes, stepping in between them. Now on the apron, the sapient of ultra-violence held the kendo stick cocked above his head, waiting for his adversary to climb to his feet. As he commences to rise, Santiago leaps off the apron, swinging the shinai through the atmosphere, the kendo stick violently clashing against the spine of a double over Metal Dragon. The vicious blow left him with a contorted face and coerced MD into shrieking over the top of his lungs. As MD dropped down to one knee, Santiago tossed the cane aside, his next goal to completely extirpate his long time rival. The Californian captures MD's head in his armpit, and throws his arm across his shoulder before placing his hand across Dragon's abdomen for leverage. Santiago popped his hips before lifting MD upside down and into the air. Almost instantaneously, the incandescent tag champion somehow landed on his feet, with his arm draped across Dom's shoulder seizing Santiago's neck and head. MD maintains the hold, while quickly falling to the ground, dragging the Solid Core Champion down and driving him back first into the concrete with fierce impetuousness. The artful Neckbreaker aroused the passions of the audience, spurring them to cheer clamorously. Both men lied inert before the Tennessean began to stir. Dragon stumbled at first, but eventually regained a vertical base and gathered himself on the side of the ring. He limped to the writhing Assassin before dragging him to his feet, leaving Santiago slightly hunched over. MD quickly grappled his head before cutting his arm under, hastily shooting it up and blasting the former T.V. Champion in the chin with his forearm, striking with a lethal European Uppercut that dazes the Lord of the Flies and leaves him staggering in both agony and befuddlement.
As Dragon approaches, the Solid Core Champion stoops down to cowardice, waiting for the perfect opportunity to capitalize, once again using underhanded tactics to gain the upperhand. The spiteful Californian quickly raked the eyes of the lunging Dragon, sending the KOTDM alumni retracting blindly. As a vision-less MD dropped to his knees, the former New Age Champion slowly climbed onto the apron, attempting to gain distance from his antagonist. As Santiago stared at the nearest pole, housing 1 of 3 remaining kendo sticks, MD blindly slid his hand across the concrete, finally grasping the shinai before climbing to his feet. With his vision no longer impaired, MD charged impulsively at the Hollywood native. He barbarously swung his weapon with ruthless aggression, catching Dominik off guard, leaving him only able to strike a panic induced pose. The kendo stick was driven into Santiago's hamstring, causing him to crouch in agonizing pain. MD winded up for a second attempt, his next swing more powerful than the first. The Singapore Cane penetrated Santiago's defenses, smashing him across the skull with incredible precision. The latter of the two lethal strikes from the metallic serpent knocked Dominik through the ropes where he jerked in a spasm like fashion in the ring, allowing MD a brief opportunity to rest, gloat and stir up the crowd.
Ray: "Metal Dragon like a stray, is territorial and when you advance upon him, he brandishes those claws and scratches, very effectively too."
JP: "Are you insinuating, that Metal Dragon is a furball Mr. White?"
Ray: "He does shed, blood that is, or at least tonight he will!"
JP: "Dom wouldn't have it any other way. Like he said, if MD is to leave here victorious, it won't be by his own power, instead he'll be carried out in a bloody heap!"
The Hardcore Assassin slithered toward the nearest corner as Metal Dragon continued to showboat, soaking in as much support as he could from the sold out crowd. With the die hard Orchard fans backing him up, the confident, former Charging Glory Champion climbed onto the apron. As Dragon climbed to his feet, Dominik springs to his, grimacing slightly but seemingly somewhat revitalized, possibly from the jubilance of the crowd. The sound of their joy brought back harsh remembrance, and frightening memories of humiliation, resentment and mingling, pent-of rage. The now seething Assassin pounced on Metal Dragon, but the tag champion was ultimately prepared for his attack, shooting his knee in between the middle and top ropes and viciously planting it into Dom's solar plexus. As the air was violently ripped from his lungs, the gasping God of Violence's body began to wrinkle, until he eventually doubled over. The fortitude of his foe was deemed admirable by the Singapore Cane wielding maniac from Nashville, but it was not enough to get him to cease his assault, as he belted a rising Dominik across the cheek with a thunderous right, turning the Hardcore Assassin around. But as MD tried to enter the squared hell, the Solid Core Champion retaliated, quickly turning and plunging his leg forward, burying it into the face of his adversary, the brutal kick neither lacking malice nor accuracy, as he smacked Dragon straight on the button.
The shot left MD groggy and hanging through the ropes, susceptible to the savage brutality only Dominik Santiago could administer. With urgency, Santiago capitalized on the opportunity laid before him, as he clubbed Metal Dragon across his neck, the mammoth blow not only packed with might, but jealously and malevolence. Santiago was indeed jealous; Metal Dragon was gaining all the success he desired, and the Hardcore Assassin would not stand for it any longer. He pulled Metal Dragon forward, before hooking both his arms behind his back while simultaneously tucking his head under one of his own arms. As he stood with his rival in his clutches, Dominik's face lit up with immense exhilaration and exuberance for about a fraction of a second, before he leaned back, jerking MD off the ropes and hatefully spiking him head first into the canvas with an unforgiving impact.
"Double Arm DDT! Metal Dragon's head was just driven into the canvas by the compassion-less Assassin!"
"For Dragon's sake, he better hope that was a concussive maneuver?"
"You do know concussions shorten, if not end careers Ray?
"Oh please, Metal Dragon's got some offense in here and there, but let's face the facts, at this rate, his career will be ended tonight anyway!"
Dominik rolled to a prone position, slowly lifting his head, staring at Metal Dragon's lifeless body, while his psychotic smirk began etching cross his mug, and in a sense, his sinister grin almost came off as derisive, as Dominik shook his head from side to side, his aura of confidence growing stronger with each brief triumph. The Solid Core Champion leaned up to his knees, his smile suddenly vanishing, his face left in a sharp, bitter scowl as he gazed at his foe who despite just receiving a devastating blow, began to stir. Dom's pent-up fury began to pour out of his body, staring at his nemesis with disdain as he reached a vertical base. Metal Dragon climbed to his knees, his bells obviously still ringing from the DDT. Santiago took a step back, before lifting his leg, striking with ferocity, his kick targeted at MD's sternum. The United Glory Champion stunned the entire arena, as he captured Santiago's boot in his hand. As MD came to a vertical base, Dominik's smug glow disappeared, and was replaced with slight apprehension as he hobbled on one leg, clearly at a disadvantage.
MD swung Dom's leg from his body, but the Assassin had the agility and where with all to turn MD's reversal into his very own counter. Dom continued to spin, before lifting them same leg level to his head. Before he could level his foe, MD ducked, dodging the dexterous and possibly head splitting Dragon's Whip. As Dominik climbed to his feet in bewilderment, Metal Dragon attempted to take the initiative. The second member of Stone Orchard advanced toward Dominik, swinging his arm through the air, determined to behead his foe and once and for all, prove his dominance. Dominik foiled Dragon's plans once more, avoiding the Clothesline by lowering his head. Having averted his demise, Santiago leaped at the corner, his surreal athleticism guiding him to the very top. Before MD could mount another attack, Dominik freed one of the remaining Singapore canes. As MD turned to the corner, Santiago leaped off the turnbuckle, soaring through the air with grace.
Metal Dragon was rendered helpless, motionless, and almost paralyzed in place as his incoming threat came closer. And MD's meeting with the mat was quite inevitable, as Dominik held the cane at it's ends. As he leaped over top MD, he placed the cane across his throat, tugging the United Glory Champion and ultimately taking him off his feet, leaving both men sprawled and supine.
"That was almost like a Flying Neckbreaker JP. He abused Metal Dragon with his speed and leaping ability, and used the Singapore Cane as the equalizer!"
"This bout has been back and fourth Ray, much like their other historic encounters. Based on the action, I don't think I can predict a winner?"
"One things for certain, both of these guys will come out losers tonight, because their bodies will take a serious beating. I quiver every time I see MD's rock hard abs blasted by one of those Canes. It's barbaric!"
"I'm sorry to say Ray, but legalized violence is the only way to settle a dispute here. And these two brutes are hell bent on dishing out punishment!"

MD twitches, aftershocks of the maneuver reverberating through his whole body. The kendo stick flies from the point of impact and lands softly near the ropes. Dominik Santiago catches his breath and rolls to his stomach, then begins crawling toward the man whom he could've just crippled with the previous move. Dom pulls himself on top of the motionless Tennessean while the referee moves into position to count. The hand of the stripe-clad man begins hitting the canvas.
1...
2...
Dragon throws a shoulder up, breaking the count as the crowd collectively jumps to its feet and begins cheering. Santiago's face turns to one expressing rage, and he immediately gets up and turns to the referee. As The Hardcore Assassin runs his mouth, swearing heavily at the official, MD rolls over. Planting his elbows into the ground to push himself to all fours, the former Dragon's Rage Champion looks at the kendo stick that lies just feet away from him. The callous Californian turns toward his opponent and raises his leg, then drives his foot into the top of the Tennessean's head. MD flinches as he tries to keep his focus, then begins to get up. After taking another stomp, Dragon wills himself to one knee, quite an achievement after being nearly annihilated by the Flying Neckbreaker that still is making its presence known in his neck. Santiago then grabs the hair of his adversary and begins pulling him up. When The Man of Golden Words is almost to a vertical base, he quickly reaches up and grabs Dom's head with both hands, then drops to his knees. Dominik's chin connects with the top of MD's head via a sudden Jawbreaker, one trick up his sleeve that has caught opponents by surprise for as long as it's been used. The Hardcore Assassin stumbles back before falling down while a rejuvenated Metal Dragon gets up, then looks at the kendo stick lying nearby and grabs it.
Dom gets to his feet and staggers toward a waiting United Glory Champion, who raises the cane overhead and brings the wooden weapon down with force onto Santiago's head. A loud crack briefly precedes the sound of the Californian hitting the mat with a thud, then the cheers of the spectators follow. The former New Age Champion rolls over and gets up, standing groggy as MD grabs one of his arms and turns him to face the far ropes. Dragon whips his rival across the ring, and Dominik predictably turns around to let his back hit the ropes and send him on a return trip. The Lord of the Flies runs toward Metal Dragon, who grips the kendo stick tightly in his hands and rears it back like one would a baseball bat. When Dom is in range, MD swings the cane horizontally, catching the Solid Core Champion in the throat and sending him down to the mat once again.
"Dominik Santiago was just dropped like a rock from that shot! Dragon has regained control of the match!"
"Look at him clutching his throat in pain; that was brutal."
"And brutality is the name of the game in any match these two have ever been in."
The Californian coughs violently as MD looks down at him with disdain. A small smirk spreads across the face of The Man of Golden Words, and he drops to his knees before putting the Singapore cane across Dom's face. Metal leans forward to cover Santiago as the referee moves in for the count.
"Cane across the face. This is a side of Metal Dragon we haven't seen in a while -- one that simply hates the man he's fighting."
1...
2...
Dominik manages to kick out of the pin, and his long black hair is immediately grabbed by MD. Dragon begins pulling his reluctant and weakened prey up, malice burning in his eyes. The 2008 H-Games Champion throws the cane down onto the mat and wraps his left arm around Santiago's head, then his right hand grabs the waist of Dom's pants. MD lifts his opponent up, and the Solid Core Champion is completely upside-down for a fraction of a second. As Dragon begins to turn around, intent on delivering Dreaming In Red, Santiago quickly gets free and flips himself over. After landing softly on the mat, Dom stands face to face with his adversary and quickly throws a forearm up into MD's chin. The European Uppercut dazes the Stone Orchard member, and Dominik quickly follows up by moving in and delivering a knee to Dragon's abdomen. The doubled-over United Glory Champion is then subjected to a hammering blow to the back of the neck that brings him down to all fours. The vicious Hardcore Assassin sees the dropped kendo stick and walks over to it, then picks it up. With Metal Dragon still on his hands and knees, Dom lifts the kendo stick high before bringing it down on the fan favorite's back, eliciting a satisfying growl of pain mixed with frustration from MD. The Hardcore Assassin steps away, plotting what to do next. As the weary tag champion tries to get up, Dom pokes him in the ribs with the point of the kendo stick, taunting him mercilessly to the boos of the crowd.
"This is just ridiculous! For someone who has gotten put in his place time after time by Metal Dragon, Dominik needs to stifle his ego a little bit."
"I wish he'd poke me with his stick."
"I'm about to go grab one of the canes hanging above the ring if you keep that shit up."
Just after Dragon manages to push himself to his feet amidst the cruel prodding by his opponent, the Singapore cane is slid between his legs. Santiago suddenly is standing to the side of MD, holding both ends of the weapon and pulling it up to where it presses against Dragon's crotch. Dom squats down and explodes up before leaning back, lifting the Nashvillian in the air and throwing him back with a Side Suplex. The Man of Golden Words lands on his head and one of his shoulders, then his whole body flops onto the mat with a dull thump.
"There's another trick up the sleeve of Santiago, and it drove Dragon's head into the mat!"
"We haven't seen the last of the crafty stuff these guys can pull off."
Dominik sits up and catches his breath, then gets up and walks to his downed opponent. The man from Hollywood slides the kendo stick out from in between MD's legs and throws it to the side. The EVPW Original stirs on the mat, trying to get up, and he finally manages to get to his feet. Unfortunately for the Tennessean, Dominik immediately kicks him in the stomach and pulls him in between his legs. The Solid Core Champion wraps his hands around MD's waist and lifts him up into a powerbomb position to attempt his Cerebral Buzzkill finisher. However, Metal Dragon slides forward and turns around during his descent, landing softly on his feet behind Dominik. MD then wraps his arms around the waist of his nemesis and quickly falls backward, dragging Santiago with him and letting go halfway through the throw. The head of the Lord of the Flies is planted into the canvas from the execution of a perfect German Suplex, and his lower body falls to the mat while Dragon rolls out from under it.
"German Suplex from a wrestler who loves delivering them! MD can pull a few moves out of nowhere, and that is definitely one."
"Once again, the crowd is filled with hope by a ridiculous has-been doofus that they can relate to. I understand that Dragon's record against Dommy is very good, but in their previous encounters, he also wasn't a clown."
"Metal Dragon" chants fill the venue, reinvigorating the target of that incantation. The Nashville native gets to one knee and then takes a moment to breathe and assess the situation at hand. MD gets up and walks to the first corner he sees, which conveniently has a fresh Singapore cane hanging in it. The former King of Deathmatches steps through the ropes and onto the apron, then climbs from the outside so that he can face the ring upon the conclusion of his ascent. On the way up, Dragon unties the kendo stick that hangs from the pole and wields it, preparing to strike the moment that Santiago gets up. Dominik gets to a vertical base and walks toward the corner that MD is perched in, and the Stone Orchard member stands up straight. Dragon then lifts the weapon overhead and flies from his elevated position, swinging the cane down, but Dom dodges to the side and delivers a swift jab to the face. The Hardcore Assassin then grabs the Singapore cane, kicks his foe in the stomach, and yanks the weapon from MD's grasp. Santiago immediately steps through the ropes and begins climbing up from the apron similar to the way his opponent did moments ago, leaving the dazed Tennessean to stand bent over and holding his stomach. Upon reaching the top, Dom plays dumb, not lifting the kendo stick up where the tag champion can't reach it. Instead, he lets MD grab the end of the shinai and try to snatch it away, only for Dominik to pull in response. Both men hold the wooden weapon tightly before Dominik jumps from the top turnbuckle and turns his body sideways, then swings his right leg up to strike a backtracking Metal Dragon in the side of the head. Seeing stars, The Metallic Mauler spins around and drops to the canvas while Dom lands on his back.
"Flying Enzuigiri from Dominik Santiago! You were right earlier, Ray, both of these guys have plenty of tricks at their disposal."
"That was picture-perfect and a perfect example of brains over brawn. Yeah, MD's the stronger man in this match, but how much does it mean right now?"

The Hardcore Assassin slowly began to stir following his risky aerial attack. Santiago takes a long drawn out saunter toward his writhing prey, before leaning over and gripping MD by both sides of his head. He turns him on his belly before gradually lifting him to a vertical base. The Solid Core Champion quickly delivers a strike to Dragon's belly with his fist, before following up with a vicious blow from the knee, leaving MD wincing, gasping and doubled over. And with the United Glory Champion almost defenseless, Santiago winds his fist up, taking a step back, releasing MD for a slight second before stabbing forward, clocking Dragon with a thunderous shot across the forehead, sending him to the canvas in an instant. With his foe sprawled on the mat, Dominik shakes his hand, before falling into the ropes. As they throw him forward, Dominik uses the added momentum to propel himself into the air. As he plummets, he bends his leg, dropping his knee straight across MD's face. The Lord of the Flies climbs to his feet, leaving MD once again convulsing in agony, giving Dominik the opportunity to vaunt as he poses in a crucifix and speaks to the crowd.
"CHEER YOUR HERO NOW!"
Dominik's ostentatiousness exasperates the crowd, allowing Metal Dragon to recuperate and contrive a strategy. His elaborate scheme is put into action as he springs up from the canvas and lunges at the Hardcore Assassin who had just piped down his ego and began his march. Caught off guard, Dominik can't react in time to prevent MD's success, as the Man of Golden Words hooks Santiago's far leg with his legs and the his free leg with his near arm. Dragon falls backward, dragging Santiago, eventually rolling on top of him, pinning his shoulders down, closing in on victory. The ref quickly drops to the canvas, to begin his count.
"1"
"2"
Just at two, the Hardcore Assassin manages to escape the Small Package, pushing a prone MD off of him. Metal Dragon is the first to his feet, waiting for Dominik to lift up from his supine position. As he does, Dragon charges at the disgruntled Solid Core Champion, before diving to the side ending up behind Dom. Dragon puts his arm in between Santiago's legs, using his strength to coerce Santiago back first to the mat. From there, the adept Tennessean stacks Dominik onto his shoulders, folding the Hardcore Assassin like an accordion and once again looking for the quick pinfall.
Ray: "Dom's arrogance almost cost him the match. But then again, it's hard to be humble, when your as great as the Hardcore Assassin!"
Jimmy Pate: "I doubt that highly Ray. Honestly, I think he's just a pompous bastard!"
"1!"
"2!"
Once again, Dominik Santiago summons enough strength to break up the pinfall, kicking out after a MD's dexterously executed Schoolboy. The Solid Core Champion rolls toward the nearest corner, quickly getting to his feet contrary to MD, who despite has quickened the pace, is the one intimating fatigue. Seeing Dragon sluggishly climb back to a vertical base, the Hardcore Assassin sets out to take advantage, charging toward his position and extending his arm out. MD's ingenious plan was indeed unfolding as his quick pinning maneuver had Santiago irate, causing him to act rashly. The cunning tag champ quickly ducked Santiago's clothesline, before quickly hooking his arms. MD slowly attempts to lean forward, but the Hardcore Assassin tenaciously holds his ground, planting his feet into the canvas, trying his best to prevent MD from capitalizing on his impetuousness. Metal Dragon was determined to make the most of his opportunity, as he popped his hips and leaned forward. Amazingly, Dragon began lifting Santiago off the canvas, but almost simultaneously, Dom managed to free his arms from MD's tentacles. Santiago's slides down MD's back, ending up on his feet, facing a doubled over Metal Dragon. Dominik quickly locks MD in a front face-lock, keeping their heads side beside beneath one another's shoulders. Afterward, Santiago hastily swings inward, diving to the mat whilst twisting on MD's neck, driving the Nashville resident neck and shoulder first into the canvas with authority.
"What a match Ray. Back and fourth, back and fourth, each man displaying some technical prowess, Dominik finally getting the better of the exchange with that brilliant Swinging Neckbreaker!"
"I thought Metal Dragon was going to steal the victory after playing possum all those times, but as I expected, the Hardcore Assassin prevailed."
Dominik Santiago rolls away following his impeccable counter, and as he waits for Metal Dragon to stir, he lies on his belly, a sadistic grin suddenly beginning to form across his face as the disconsolate crowd fueled the fire in his belly. The viper like Assassin salivated as Metal Dragon lethargically began to move, his body seemingly battered and pushed beyond it's limits despite this Singapore Cane Match being far more less gruesome and bloody than their previous contests. MD phlegmatically began to rise, spurring the Assassin to begin his own ascent to a vertical base. With his opponent groggy and seemingly begging to be put out his misery, Dominik dashes for Metal Dragon, quickly turning his back toward him while simultaneously lunging for his head, desperately attempting to execute his most lethal, patent finisher. Metal Dragon had it scouted though, blocking Santiago's first arm and holding it tight in his clutches before seizing the second incoming one. With Dominik subdued, MD crosses the Solid Core Champ's own arms under his throat before violently pulling backward, viciously choking the Lord of the Flies. Dominik Santiago began flailing with his legs, trying to wriggle himself free from the Straight Jacket Choke, but to no avail. The Hardcore Assassin quickly began fading, and much wanted out of the brutal submission hold, and much to his chagrin, when MD let him out, the brutality would not subside.
Metal Dragon slightly bridged his back, allowing himself to swing Santiago into the air before releasing his arms. Dominik began falling forward, and during his descent, Metal Dragon wrapped Dom's legs around his waist, performing a Wheelbarrow transition hold. The Man of Golden Words suddenly dropped to a seated position, his masterful technical exhibition capped off as he planted Santiago face first into the canvas.
"What a Wheelbarrow Facebuster. Metal Dragon must have been training because I've never seen him use that move before! Guess old dogs do learn new tricks when motivated!"
"And to perform it out of the Cut-throat hold? Metal Dragon certainly isn't playing any games tonight!"
"MD was never this technically sound! I guess the influence of Matthew Oliveira and his former friend, Brian Commonwealth have paid off tonight!"
"Possibly, but then again, these two superstars know each other so well, and that alone would make any man look for different holes to explore!"
"Preaching to the choir!"
Metal Dragon slowly rolls Santiago over onto his spine, before covering him, grinding his forearm into the Assassin's kisser, once again demonstrating his ruthless side, one that had been dormant in the heart of the Tennessean for some time now, suddenly showing it's ugly face once again. The zebra clad official quickly threw himself to the canvas, before beginning the count.
"1!"
"2!"
Frustration began to mount on the face of MD as his bitter rival managed to roll a shoulder, forcing the match to continue and preventing his face from taking further damage. The former KOTDM slowly climbed to his feet before leaning over and picking up the nearby Singapore Cane. He lifted up vertical over his head, before swinging it through the air, driving it into Santiago's sternum, only to viciously begin twisting it while simultaneously pushing it downward, undergoing such a baleful change of demeanor as he tortures his adversary. Through his cringe, Dominik Santiago spotted the anger and hatred in Metal Dragon, and despite being in great discomfort and pain, he began to smile a satisfied, sadistic smirk. He sensed the good in MD commencing to evanesce, and he could see that his biggest nemesis was doing the one thing he thought he would never do, stoop down to his vindictive level.
Dragon spotted the grin on Dominik's face, and wouldn't it allow it to remain, as he lifted the shinai into the air before swinging and cracking Dominik across the forehead. The Hardcore Assassin rolled onto his knees and buried his head into the canvas, the shot reverberating throughout his entire head while the man behind the blow began making his way to the corner. Metal Dragon ascended to to the second rope, and waiting for his rival to reach his feet. As the incognizant Lord of the Flies reached a vertical base, Dragon leaped off the top rope. Even though he was winded and wounded, Santiago mustered enough physical strength to leap into the air, bringing his knees inward, extending them back outward and planting his boots into heart of Dragon, sending MD crashing to the floor.
"Each time someone has gained the upperhand, they've squandered their advantage. A Dropkick floors the United Glory Champion and leaves both men motionless."
"I saw viciousness in the eyes of the Dragon, and he was looking to destroy the Dark Knight. Too bad for him, his spite might have caused him to get slayed!"
"Ray, you and I both know this match will end after one superstar quickly takes advantage of his foe's miscalculation. And as simple as it sounds, it's very hard to just strike like lightning, giving these two guys are very intelligent."
"Oh please, MD's a Nashville Neanderthal, and your forgetting that Santiago has the SKO, and though MD escaped one attempt, there's no guarantee that he'll avoid a second, especially because it can be executed at any time and in any form!"

Both wrestlers lie on the mat, the recipient of the Dropkick sprawled out and seeming to be lifeless while the deliverer of the move stirs. Dominik Santiago plants his hands into the surface of the square battleground, pushing himself up with eyes locked on his weakened nemesis. Dom grabs MD's ankle and then gets up, then starts to pull the tag team champion a bit further away from the corner. Santiago steps over the motionless body that he plans to damage even more before going for a pin, then begins climbing the turnbuckles. Dragon finally shows some life as his arms move on the mat; the fan favorite's body is frail but not out of commission just yet. The Hardcore Assassin stands atop the ring, holding the raised pole in front of him for balance. Dom looks down at the front-row fans jeering him nearby and delivers a nonchalant middle finger before leaping in the air and flipping backwards. As the cocky Californian prepares to land belly-to-belly with MD, his plans go awry due to Dragon rolling out of the way. The Solid Core Champion lands in the ring without his opponent to break his fall, a loud thud being audible as the ring tremors via the impact of the missed Moonsault.
"Nobody home! Metal Dragon is still refusing to give up in this match!"
"I understand he's taken a lot of shots to the head during his career, but there's a time you need to give up."
"Yeah, but it's obviously not that time yet!"
The two decorated superstars of wrestling lie prone in the ring once again, neither of them moving at first this time. The referee checks both wrestlers, then begins to wait for them to get up amidst a new "Metal Dragon" chant beginning to build up in the arena. The man being chanted to is the first to move, and he begins squirming in the center of the ring before finally getting to one knee. Dominik uses the ropes to pull himself up and the two enemies both reach a vertical base close to the same time. Santiago and Dragon stagger toward one another, and The Hardcore Assassin is the first to strike with a swift jab to the jaw, eliciting a "Boo!" from the crowd. MD stumbles back one step, but then steps forward and delivers a punch to the face of his own that sends Dom backtracking to the ropes, prompting a "Yay!" from the people in attendance. As Dominik is now leaned against the ropes, MD charges at him and throws his left leg up. The Yakuza Kick is not able to hit the sly Santiago, who ducks and slides to the side. With the Stone Orchard member's leg stuck on the top rope, Dom ducks under it to stand face-to-face with MD. Santiago quickly slides his arm under the extended thigh and wrap his arm around it, then he begins walking around his foe. The United Glory Champion is forced to turn around, then Dominik moves his grasp to the calf of his adversary before quickly falling down and turning the leg. Dragon is spun around before he falls to the mat thanks to the Dragon Leg Screw, but the captive limb is not let go as Dom quickly gets up and lifts it. The hamstring is then subjected to several fast but effective kicks from Hollywood's own, each strike making MD twitch and wince in pain. The Lord of the Flies drops the captive leg and then looks around the ring for the nearest Singapore cane. Dom finds one of the weapons nearby and goes to pick it up, then he walks back to his opponent, who still is in the same position and holding his leg in pain.
Santiago lifts the kendo stick overhead and brings it down across the torso of his opponent, distracting the EVPW Original from his own leg for a moment. The Solid Core Champ quickly grabs that afflicted leg and turns around, flipping MD over in the process. Dom turns once again and steps to the side of his adversary, then grips the cane tightly and raises it overhead before swinging it down. The wood hits the left hamstring of Metal Dragon again, provoking a scream of agony to escape the beloved Nashvillian's lips. A stinging pain shoots through MD's whole leg as he grabs the bottom rope, desperately trying to get up. Another swing of the shinai hits the same area and Dragon's hands involuntarily squeeze the rope tightly for a moment, then let go. The former Charging Glory Champion breathes heavily, trying to cope with the pain and ignore it long enough to begin getting up. He succeeds in doing that, grabbing the middle rope and pulling himself to his knees. As soon as MD does that, Dominik rears back the cane once again. The middle of MD's back receives a stiff shot from the weapon that slumps him between the top and middle ropes, hands hanging out of the ring, a true display of a battered man. The mind willing but the body weak, Metal Dragon can only watch as Dom steps through the ropes with cane in hand, then hops off of the apron and walks toward the Tennessean. Santiago raises the stick again and swings it at MD's head, cracking the United Glory Champion on the scalp and causing him to slide to the side before slumping to the mat. The Lord of the Flies then throws the cane over the top rope and into the squared circle, then Dom himself slides into the ring and gets up. The cruel Californian grabs an arm and a leg of his foe and drags him away from the ropes, then drops to his knees and places his hands on Dragon's chest. The referee moves in and begins counting.
"I don't see how MD can go on any longer."
"He's been worn out by that cane. Yeah, he could be done."

As the third slap of the canvas is imminent, The Man of Golden Words raises a shoulder to break the pinning attempt.
"It's not over yet!"
"Seriously? I mean, that was a weak pin; the leg wasn't even hooked, but Dominik didn't see it necessary. I thought Dragon was out cold from that last swing of the kendo stick!"
"And this is where Santiago's ego hurts him. He could have had the match right there if he'd just hooked the leg, but he just is hellbent on humiliating his opponent. You think he's bitter that he's lost so much to Metal Dragon?"
An irked Dominik Santiago looks at the ref with a mixture of despair and disdain, not believing that he hasn't finished the job yet. Growling with each breath in a display of forming rage, Santiago grabs his opponent's hair and pulls him up. Dom grabs the groggy tag champ's arm and slings him across the ring with an Irish Whip, but MD turns around near the ropes and hooks his arms around them to prevent himself from running back at his rival. Santiago walks toward Metal Dragon, and the Nashville native begins approaching Dom in return. As soon as the two come within a few feet of each other, Dragon raises his right leg and kicks the Californian in the stomach. Keeping the same leg up, MD subjects the doubled-over Solid Core Champion to a swift kick to the side of the head, then the foot passes over Dom's head before backing into his other temple with its heel. Dragon steps to the side of his dazed opponent and swings left leg up before it comes down on the back of the former New Age Champion's neck, and that Axe Kick drives the hated high-flyer into the mat face-first. Metal shakes his leg out and stumbles back to the ropes as the soreness in his leg becomes a bit more prominent.
"The Dragon Rush just stopped Santiago in his tracks! This match is anyone's now!"
"Look at Dragon, though. He had to stretch that left leg to throw that last kick, and that's no easy task after your leg's been worked on a lot in this. However, I'd gladly rub some lotion on it to make it feel better later."
"The last part of what you said is your business, but the rest of it is right. When you target a part of the body, you make an investment during the match that will most likely pay off in the long term. An opponent being slowed down is a very nice advantage."
The Lord of the Flies squirms on the canvas, head pounding from the attack he just took, while MD sees that the nearest ring post has the final Singapore cane hanging from it. Dragon walks to the corner of the ring and steps through the ropes. Dominik begins stirring while his determined rival climbs the turnbuckles in an effort to grab the last unused Singapore cane in this match. The Hollywood high-flyer finally pushes himself to his feet and looks around, then retrieves the nearest kendo stick from the mat, conveniently not far away. MD has almost completed his slow climb to the top when Santiago suddenly runs toward him and swings the cane, striking him on the top of the head. Dragon grabs the pole on one side and the top rope on the other as his feet slip from the turnbuckle he is on, and the Nashvillian saves himself from a harsh spill to the floor outside that way. MD puts his feet on the apron and another swing of the cane comes his way, but The Man of Golden Words ducks and grabs the middle rope. Metal Dragon immediately thrusts his shoulder through the ropes and it connects with the midsection of Dominik, stunning his fellow middleweight for a moment. MD then hastily walks back to the corner and begins climbing, reaching the top quickly and pulling the fourth Singapore cane down. Dragon crouches on his perch as Dom approaches with a raised kendo stick, and the United Glory Champion receives a quick cane shot to the head that almost knocks him off balance. MD grabs the top rope with his right hand while his cane-wielding left arm lifts up and delivers a shot with the weapon right between Santiago's eyes. With a small window of opportunity, Metal stands straight up and leaps from the corner. His descent is halted when his body connects with Dom's, and MD wraps his arm around his familiar opponent's head before spinning around and falling back. Dominik is driven head-first into the mat from the Tornado DDT as the crowd begins a loud cheer for the man they favor in this bout. Santiago is rolled forward from the momentum of the move and he lands on his back.
"TORNADO DDT! What a move, and now Metal Dragon has the definite upper hand!"
"This can't be happening! My Dommy can't be about to be defeated by this guy again!"
Two broken bodies lie in the squared circle, pushed far beyond the limits of normal human endurance despite not having spilled a drop of blood. Instinct takes over simultaneously for both competitors as Dragon rolls over for a cover, but Dominik rolls away. MD crawls toward his escaping target, but Santiago has now rolled out of the ring, landing on his feet and dropping to one knee. Dom then lies down on the cold arena floor to finish shaking the cobwebs out of his head, a task that will take some time. Back in the ring, the other exhausted wrestler gets up and wipes some sweat from his eyes as he thinks about what to do next. A "This match rules!" chant becomes audible in the arena and builds up to a nearly-unanimous mantra. Dragon picks up his kendo stick, walks to the ropes, and leans against them, looking down at his battered opponent.
Santiago sits up as MD steps through the ropes to stand on the apron once again, but the sneaky and vicious Hardcore Assassin pops up at that second. Dom grabs Dragon's ankles and pulls back, making the tag champ fall. MD's back hits the apron before he falls to the arena floor with a vengeful Dominik Santiago standing over him. Amidst the booing of the crowd for the underhanded tactic, the devious former New Age Champion pulls his face-down opponent up and begins leading him on a beeline to the ring steps. Along the trip, Dom sees a Singapore cane on the floor that rolled out of the ring earlier and snatches it up, then continues walking his opponent to the steel stairs. Upon reaching his destination, Dominik puts the weapon on the apron, then grabs MD's head with both hands and hurls him at the ring steps. The Most Metallic Man in Wrestling catches himself on the stairs, but immediately receives a kick to the inside of his knee. Dominik grabs the shinai that he just set aside, raises it overhead, and strikes the upper back of his opponent. MD's whole body flinches from the kendo stick hitting his skin, weakening his limbs as Dom once again sets the weapon on the edge of the ring. Santiago then grabs Dragon's head and lifts it up for a moment before slamming the crowd favorite's face into the ring steps. Dominik is subjected to booing for that action, which only incites him to pick MD's head up once more and plant it into the steel again. Dom grabs the Singapore cane and hits his prey with it once again for good measure, then tosses the wooden item back into the squared hell and steps back.
His back red (but surprisingly not his neck) from the punishment taken in the match, the Stone Orchard member desperately tries to pull himself up on the ring steps. Santiago smirks, then steps closer and delivers a cocky slap to the back of MD's head, drawing the ire of the EVPW fans. Reveling in the pain of his rival and the disgust shown by the crowd, Dominik is revitalized. Dom steps away and puts his hands on his knees, stalking his opponent and waiting for him to get to a vertical base. After a few seconds, Dragon stands up straight and stumbles back. MD knows exactly what to expect, and every person in the arena save for The Man of Golden Words himself is oblivious to that fact. The United Glory Champion turns around and watches his adversary jump and turn around just as expected. As Dominik reaches the apex of his jump, he reaches back and wraps his arms around the head of Metal Dragon. What isn't expected, though, is for MD to return the favor by sliding his left arm under the neck of Santiago, then place his right hand on the back of The Hardcore Assassin's head. Both wrestlers feel a sudden sense of panic as they drop to the floor, badly torquing each others' necks. Everyone in the arena quickly stands up and a mishmash of cheering is heard.
"OH MY GOD! DEATH METAL AND SKO OUTSIDE OF THE RING! That could have topped anything I've seen these two do!"
"That was two opponents who know each other so well that they can scout a move in a split-second. That was a perfect execution and a perfect counter."
"This match might come down to a matter of who can get in the ring first! There are no countouts in this match, so they might even beat the crap out of each other outside the ring some more if they get up!"
