Wednesday Night Genesis returns from commercial. Ray White and Jimmy Pate sit at the announcers table ready to call the next match. The bell rings and Lizzie stands in the ring ready as "Welcome Home" hits the loud speakers.
Lizzie Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is schedueled for one fall! Introducing first, weighing in at two hundred and eighty five pounds, standing six foot four, from Lowell, Massachusettes, he is "The Airborne Ranger" DEREK WELLINGS!
Derek stands at the entrance to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He roars at them and pelvic thrusts the air several times before he begin shis march down to the ring. Several fans reach out for him, and he slaps hands with a couple. He nears the ring and slides in ala Edge. He tosses his feet on the middle rope and begin doing several pushups.
*** Jimmy Pate *** This rookie still has yet to show us what he's capable of, it should prove most interesting what he does in this match against the UNDEFEATED Vladimir Strife.
*** Ray White *** I think he's capable of NOTHING. Vladimir Strife is just the best! There's noone better than him, specially Vladimir Strife.
Derek finishes his push ups and stands on the ropes and readily waits for Vladimir Strife to come on out.

'I know you're trying.... to go home.'
The line, as sung by Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad, comes ringing through the loudspeakers, a portion of the crowd leaping up in excitement. Many are wondering what shape and mood Vladimir must be in following the attack on him from the Imperfects. As he steps out of the back, the King looks his normal self, pissed off and ready to fight.
"And his opponent... weighing in at 269 lbs... he is the 45-0 'Undefeated Behemoth' and one half og the EVPW United Glory Champions... VLADIMIR STRIFE!!"
Vladimir makes his way down the ramp slowly, sporting a tiny bit of a limp on his right leg. He walks around the ring, taking off the United Glory title and dropping it on the announce table in front of Jimmy Pate, who has always kept it safe for him. He nods to JP, then turns and begins to make his way up the steel steps. As he takes his corner, the bell rings, the referee stepping back for the contest to begin.

Derek and Vladimir circle each other around the ring. Derek stops by a coner, hops up and tries to get people to make some noise to start off their match. It works as a fair amount of people respond. Derek jumps off and circles the ring once again and both men lock up. Derek and Vladimir engage in a Test of Strength and Vladimir wins it pushing wellings completely over, arching his back and placing his head on the mat. Both men grow at each other, Derek slowly begins over powering and places Vladimirs head against the canvas. The fans pop loudly as the men show off their brutal strength. Derek allows Vlad to get a verticle base again, but this time Derek throws him away like a rag doll. Vlad gets to his feet and stares back at Strife, beats on his chest ala Eddie Guerrero and roars at him.
*** Ray White *** Who does Derek Wellings think he is? He's throwing around the United Glory champion as if he was a RAG DOLL, and even has the guff to roar at him as if he's a monster. He's crusing for a brusing and I'm going to enjoy it.
*** Jimmy Pate *** I think this is good. If Derek can get into his opponents mind, make him believe he's not afraid of Vladimir Strife the legend in the making, and make him believe that Derek is a ticked off rhino, it could work very well for him.
Vladimir gets to his feet again and once more they circle each other with the crowd getting louder as each minute pases. Vlad and Derek snap again, and the two push each other back wanting to prove who is strongger, but this time Vlad wins and throws Derek down like a child. He mocks Derek with his own taunt even roaring like a scarred kitten to mock Derek further. He jumps back to his feet and for a third time the snap, and Derek is quick as he gets a knee in hunching over his opponent. He ducks behind him, and locks in a Double Armlock Chicken Wing ala Ricky Steamboat, Vlad yells out and tries breaking loose. He releases Strife, he lands on his feet and turns to attack Derek but Strife is taken down by one of Dereks Knockout Clotheslines. He goes for a pin but doens't even get a ONE as Strife still has MUCH energy in him.
Derek gets to the ropes waiting for Strife to get to his feet. He comes at him with a big boot and lands it head on (no pun intended). He drops down and brings his fists over his opponents head, after several punches he bounces off the ropes and drops a knee over Strifes head. He gets back up, helps Vladimir back up, lifts him up into a Verticle Suplex. He walks to the center of the ring and just keeps him in the air ala British Bulldog. He holds him for ten seconds before dropping him onto his back. Derek quickly gets up and jumps onto a turnbuckle and raises his arms up playing to the crowd who enjoys it. He jumps off to see Vladimir has gotten to his feet. Derek runs over and attempts giving him another Knockout Clothesline, he ducks and Vlad runs at the other ropes they both bounce off and return at each other, Derek ducks with Vlad leap frogging over and bounce off once more and both men take each other out with a double Big Boot. Derek shakes it off, and Vlad sits up ala The Undertaker showing Wellings he's not hurt.
*** Jimmy Pate *** Dear God, these men have just been going at it with each other, showing little to now signs of slowing down, and Dereks' been firing away at Vladimir Stife, and there is little proof that Vlad has been feeling his hits. These guys are touch as nails, how much longger can it last?
*** Ray White *** True, we're going to be in for a very long fight. These monsters are beating the Hell out of each other, well Vlad has absorbed most of if it, and they're just walkin the beating off. This is going to be bloody! These guys won't stop until the other is bleeding dry.
Derek and Vlad get back up but Vlad gets control when he nails a VICIOUS Knife Edge Chop on Derek. He winces at the pain, and returns the favor. Vlad takes his chop instride and returns a second chop even lounder than the previous. Derek walks it off swearing under his breath. He turns around and returns an equally loud. Vladimir takes it swearing a little louder. He walks a circle turns around and fakes another chop for Derek, but instead brings a knee to Dereks' gut and hits him with a Side Russian Legsweep taking the bigger man down. Derek favors his chest, and as Derek gets up, Vlad aims lower and hites a Knife Edge Chop against Dereks belly-button/Naval area, getting a "OWWWW" reaction from the crowd. Vlad hops on up onto the ropes, ands creams "LOOK AT YOUR HERO NOW!", thes fans boo him, but Derke doesn't take it lieing down as he delieves a Knife Edge Chop over the back of Vladimir Strife.
He hops down off the ropes, almost into a Big Boot from Wellings. But he graves his boot and intead Dropkicks him in his center mass, knocking out Dereks' wind and off his feet. He sits up, but Vlad comes off the rops hitting another Dropkick into Dereks' Face. Vlad covers but Derek pushes him off before a one. Vlad pins Dereks arms down with his knees and begins firing away with some of his own fists meant to break down Derek. After ten fists, he lets up, pulls the Airborne Ranger to his feet, and Suplexes him into the center of the ring. He comes off the ropes and drops a knee over hi opponents center mass. He gets back up and lands with both knees on Dereks' chest. He cover again and gets a one count. Vlad smacks the mat arguing with the referee, and the crowd lets it known they disapprove.
*** Jimmy Pate *** I don't that'll work Vladimir. Dereks' got a lot of energy in him and has learned how to control his breathing from those Ranger Training Missions. But I will give to you, no matter how much training you have, the anatomy is still the same. If you break the mans ability to breath, he won't be much of an opposing force.
*** Ray White *** OF COURSE! Think about it. What does Derek has to lose? Just some breather and proof he's just an epic failure we all know he is. But what does Vladimir have to lose? EVERYTHING! He's 45/0/0 if he loses to this rookie, he'll be a laughing stock of the backstage area. This is ridiculous. How can management put a rookie against a seasoned veteran like Vladimir Strife!
*** Jimmy Pate *** It's easy. This rookie isn't exactly a rookie, he has been in other federations with lots of fierce competition and served his country in the Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Bosnia, Mogadishu, Operation: Iraqi Freedmon just to name a few offensive strikes where he has been in the past. So naturally this "rookie" has a bit of a ego about the fierce battles he's seen in the Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Rangers as well as his in ring wars in other federations. While Derek has known loss, Vladimir Strife doesn't. Derek wants him to feel that sting by beating him here. This is a very interesting match if you ask me.

Vladimir stands back up, scooping a hand down behind the head of his opponent and helping him up off of the mat so the bout can continue. Wellings thanks him with an open handed slap across the chest, Vladimir backing away as his flesh begins to flush beneath his shirt, his hands covering the soreness. Strife feels an anger course his mind and steps back in, looking to teach a lesson in 'fucking with the King' to the newcomer. The 40 year old is quick to grab Vlad by the wrist, shooting his free arm into his bicep as he throws his weight back. The end result is Strife being yanked forward and flipped to the mat in an arm drag. Not exactly a devastating manuever, both men find themselves popping back up quickly, Wellings repeating the process and tossing Vlad across the ring once more. As he raises back up, the fans cheer him on, seeing a glimpse of hope in the Airbourne Ranger ending the legendary winning streak of the Hardcore King. Vlad gets to his knees and punches the mat in frustration, feeling as though he's being toyed around with.
JP: I love it! Wellings is really schooling Vladimir now and he seems ANYTHING but happy about it! Vlad came into this underestimating this EVPW rookie and now he's learning an important lesson in doing so. Ray: Typical bullshit, JP! Wellings is letting his ego swell just because he got a few good ones on Vlad, but he has no idea what he's doing in the long run and that's simply pissing Strife off and giving him even MORE reason to hurt him! JP: You have to understand, Ray. This guy is no rookie. He's a trained former soldier. He's spent his whole life fighting. And as we mentioned earlier, this isn't his first fed. The man has wrestled plenty of men before and he wasn't too shabby from what I hear. He's very skilled, not the pup Vlad was expecting. Ray: But he's never fought Vladimir Strife, JP! He served in the forces, I get it. He's wrestled in other feds, I understand. Honestly though, is there another wrestler, another human being out there quite like The King himself? He's fought men, JP, he's never fought a god!
Vladimir gets himself back to a vertical base, Wellings standing back and giving him his time, looking for a clean, fair contest. Now back to their feet, the heavyweights heave themselves forward at one another. Their outstretched arms wrap over the others and they lock into another struggle for strength. They push back and forth, Derek seeming to get the better of Vlad as he inches him towards the ropes. He raises an arm, pushing Vlad's into the air. As the Czar of Scars' limb flails upward, Derek's apendage hooks south and wraps the inside of Strife's thigh. He pulls him into the air, turning Vlad upside down and giving him an aerial view of the canvas below. The Undefeated Behemoth struggles, but Derek takes a step backwards and composes his strength, holding him up. Vlad drives his knuckles into the man's gut, a small lurch of his stomach being heard before he whips Strife to the canvas with a thunderous report.
The King sits up almost instantaneously, his forearm pressed to his lower back, face scrunched almost like a bulldog in response to the agony he's feeling. This time, Derek is not so generous about resting up as he plants a patella into the United Glory champion's spine. bringing his hands around his head before locking them and then strapping them across his chin. Vlad's head is snapped back, a sharp pain in his back and neck causing him to grimace and groan. The referee walks up beside him, kneeling down next to the men and beginning to ask Strife something. He sees the man's mouth moving from the corner of his eyes, but the sound is mute as the pressure builds in his head, the sound of a tidal wave ringing in his ears. In response to anything he can imagine the referee saying, the EVPW co-owner raises a middle finger up to his face, the ref's expression turning sour.
JP: Vlad's turning awfully red right now, I can't even imagine the pressure Wellings MUST be cranking this chinlock with. Vladimir looks as though he might just pass out! Ray: You're full of shit.. My baby would never pass out. 45 wins, zero losses, JP, you know as well as I do that Vlad skipped his English classes the day they learned about the word 'quit'. JP: Yeah... that also was the day they learned about 'mercy' too!
The Airbourne Ranger continues to crank up the pressure, but Vlad isn't responding the way he had expected. He doesn't look like he'll pass out and he's shown no signs of throwing in the towel as of yet. He removes his knee from the smaller man's spine and yanks him up by the chin, high enough for Vlad to regain his footing in an amazing showing of strength. He unclasps his hands, grabbing Vlad's arm and pushing it up as he places his head beneath it. He reaches down and places his hands across the back of Vlad's thighs, supporting him as he raises him into the air. Standing up straight, Wellings gets Vlad nearly the way of his full height of 6'4" into the air, high above the mat. As he teeters back, the crowd sits on the edge of their seats, watching as Vlad is dropped shoulders first from the height. He seems to bounce off of the mat, flipping over after the impact, his consciousness wavering. Derek, the better for wear, reaches across Vlad's back and grabs him by the shoulder, rolling him over to his back and covering him in a pinning predicament.
The referee counts a one, a two, but the King's arm shoots up instinctively, breaking the fall and continuing the bout.
JP: So close! Wellings almost had the King there! Ray: Psht - yeah right! Vlad's playing with this kid, letting him feel good, like he's got a chance. It's all an act! Vlad will spring up and kick his ass any second now!
Derek returns to a vertical position, lifting Strife up once more as he does. The Legend wobbles, looking to the audience and Derek as though he will drop right back down to the ground, walking on proverbial spaghetti legs. Derek turns and runs away from the prone Vladimir, making his way to the ropes. He turns on a heel as he nears, throwing his weight into it, the rope snapping across his back and shooting him back at his adversary. He cocks his arm back, his eyes narrowing as he focuses in on his target. He swings it forward in a burst of strength, locked on and devastation in his sights. The knockout clothesline rushes through the air and over Vlad's head as he springs to life and ducks down. As Wellings passes, Vlad shoots himself up and reaches his arm behind him, hooking his wrist below the opponent's chin. He drops his weight, allowing his legs to give in as they've been begging to do and hits the canvas on his knees. Derek, caught by the King, is dragged down with him, the back of his skull slamming down against Mr. Unbeaten's shoulder, the sudden stop causes his momentum to drive him harder against the bone and shakes the ring. Vladimir's body sways forward and he places both hands in front of him to catch himself from collapsing. Meanwhile, the Airbourne Ranger splays out beside him, staring blankly at the ceiling as the outskirts of his vision dims to black.
Ray: THE SINNERPLEX!!! OH MY GOD, YES!!! JP: Wow, it's been a while since we've seen that one.. I have to give it to Vlad, maybe he's not as down and out as I thought.. Ray: What? What was that, Jimmy... I don't think I quite heard you. JP: I said you're a fairy.
