*Clunk*... *Clunk*
The sound of the wrist locks being bolted shut on both men's arms starts the match. One hand chained to the arm of the other, one arm free. Standing far enough apart to test the tension on the chain by pulling back against each other, both men then slowly step forward to meet in the center of the ring. Two of the toughest stars in EVPW history locked together in a battle of survival.
It begins as any match should. With Jakob Azazel producing a deck of cards, seemingly out of nowhere. He spreads them expertly, despite the chain around his wrist and asks his foe to pick a card. Tamatoa looks on, cocking his head to the side suspiciously but draws a card from the deck regardless. The Magician tosses the remaining cards up into the air, like a fountain, drawing his opponent's attention skywards. Through magic and a little sleight of hand, when the cards fall to the ground, Tamatoa is left standing with no card in his hands... and a pair of handcuff locking both wrists together. Azazel smiles at him, toting the card that the Kiwi had chosen.
"Ace of Spades... How predictable."
With that, Jakob Azazel pulls on the chain and knocks Tamatoa off his feet and onto the ground. Unable to properly break his fall with both hands cuffed in front of him, the Maori Warrior lands awkwardly on his shoulder. Early advantage Azazael and this war is on!
JP: "Well... That was a magic trick if ever I saw one. The reinvented Hayden HardKore just got duped like some mark on a street corner with that!"
Ray: "We don't say that name any more JP. Its... Er... How does one pronounce that exactly? Anybody speak Maori around here?"
JP: "Jeez Ray, you ain't changed at all have you? A little bit of preparation wouldn't go astray. It's Tum - er - toe - a ... Ha - ree - co - ah. Means the 'Smiling Warrior'."
Ray: "Well, aren't you the cunning linguist?"
JP: "..."
Ray: "See what I did there?"
JP: "... Shut up Ray."
Jakob is quick to pounce on the advantage and wastes no time in using the chain to his own advantage. With Tamatoa still preoccupied with the handcuff predicament he now finds himself in, Azazel can quite easily slip the chain around his neck. He definitely manages to pry away the attention of the Kiwi from the handcuffs for a moment as he starts pulling, choking the Kiwi right from the get-go.
Pulling on the chain, he forces Tamatoa up to a vertical base. With the Kiwi's eyes bulging and his face turning a shade of red that faces aren't supposed to turn, the Warlock slams the Maori Warrior into the turnbuckle head first, only releasing the chain so that the Kiwi falls to the canvas. Triumphantly, he touches the first turnbuckle with his palm. Tamatoa tries in vain to stagger to his feet, only to be caught up into the Magician's clutches. Azazel disposes of him in brutal fashion by hooking the Kiwi's head underneath his arm and slamming him head first into the lower turnbuckle.
JP: "DDT to the bottom turnbuckle. If Tamatoa wasn't seeing magic before, he will be now."
Ray: "The Maori hasn't even put up a fight to this point. This thing could be over before it's even started."
JP: "Maori Warriors are a little primitive. Perhaps he's never experienced magic before and that's thrown him?"
Jakob takes his time to march towards the next turnbuckle. Without so much of a fuss, he open palm slap the padding to claim the second post as easily as the first. But that is where he stops in his tracks. The chain goes taut and he can proceed no further. Before he can turn around, he lurches backwards and falls flat on the canvas, the chain having been pulled from behind to even the odds.
Tamatoa Harikoa lets out a piercing war-cry, his eyes bulge wildly and his tongue sticks out of his mouth towards his chin. With his handcuffs still limiting his movements, he strikes with a Double Axe Handle that staggers a rising Azazel and sends him reeling into the ring ropes. The Magician uses the momentum gained to rebound off the ropes, hoping to catch Tamatoa on the return, but the Kiwi Battler is waiting. He takes to the air himself, targeting a Dropkick to the knee of the Magician. Azazel crumples as the knee buckles and skids to a halt in the center of the ring. The handcuffs limit the amount of moves in his arsenal to follow up with but the Maori Warrior keeps the momentum up, nailing a modified Discus Double Axe Handle that catches the Warlock as he tries again to stand. Azazel falls onto his back but has no time to breathe as Harikoa sets himself up in a mounted position on the Magician's chest. Even with both hands locked together, he can berate the head of his opponent just fine. Tamatoa follows double fist after double fist to soften up his foe, before slamming the very handcuffs that the Magician had locked onto him back into Jakob Azazel's face. SHot after shot after shot of the metal cuffs to the forehead soon busts Azazel open.
Ray: "No, not blood! Stop it, he's had enough!"
JP: "That is a savage pounding that Jakob Azazel is taking. Tamatoa had to modify his gameplan after the cuffs were locked on, but it seems that the Magician's great idea has come back to bite him in the ass."
Tamatoa Harikoa only stands when the fight leaves his opponent's body. A battered, bloodied mess. He drags that bloody mess over to the corner and slaps the first turnbuckle with both fists. However, he makes no attempt to head to the second corner. Instead, he climbs. Right to the very top...
SHOOTING STAR PRESS!
He had just enough slack on the chain to get elevation and he drives himself, chain first into the sternum of the Magician!
JP: "The Flying Kiwi won't let being chained to his opponent stop him from soaring. The chain only adds injury to insult there."
Ray: "Jakob Azazel is in a bad way. Battered, bleeding and he looks like he doesn't know what day of the week it is."
JP: "I wonder if he still knows what card Tamatoa chose... It was the Ace of Spades, Jakob!"

OOC: Sorry for the delay. I've struggled to find the time this week to sit and write it. Happy I did though, fun match!
