* If you want to post an entrance... By all means do so.
The bell is rung and the match is underway immediately. Desperado has been gunning for Skull ever since the Unholy Warrior declared his intent on destroying the Brooklyn Brawler both physically and mentally.
As everyone is well aware, such threats don’t sit well with men who have grown up in the ghetto and Desperado responded just as any thug would, answering Skull’s call with his hard, cold fists.
There was no traditional lock-up in the centre of the ring as one would expect in a wrestling bout. There was no circling and trying to find holes in the opponent’s defence. Not even the boxing guard start that the New York Pugilist was famous for was anywhere in sight. Desperado simply rushed into Skull, eyes full of rage and his fists swinging.
It came about so sudden, Skull didn’t have enough time to block the first blow but by turning his head away, he managed to avoid any serious damage. He built a quick cocoon around himself to deflect that onslaught of blows that the Brawler continued to deliver. The Horrorland native kept his discipline as he was backed away into a corner by Despy and despite his valiant effort at defending himself against his foe’s fury, he could feel his arms going numb from the pain.“Looks like Skull is facing some of Desperado’s wrath. To be honest, this is what I liked best about Despy. He didn’t mess around when it came to taking the fight to his opponent.”
“He’s a loose cannon Matt. I still don’t know what you saw in him, inviting him to join Stone Orchard. The guy never really fit in.”
“He can surely fight, I’ll give him that much but I never liked the bastard to be honest. Former Stone Orchard member or not, I want to see him lose.”
“You want to see Skull win?”
“On second thoughts, GO DESPERADO! Kick his Halloween ass.”
Most would fail to think up of a strategy under such dire circumstances but Skull was one who stood above most and even in such a predicament, he had his mind set on fulfilling his promise. He was going to wear Desperado out.
Raising a foot to the Yanks gut, Skull forced Desperado away. He caught a glimpse of his rival panting and knew what he had to do. The technical tornado rushed in with his shoulder and met the turnbuckle as the fan-favourite escaped to the left. Upon turning Desperado’s face met the forearm of his opponent. This only infuriated our angry friend even further and put Skull’s plan in motion.
The technical tornado charged in the direction of The Hellion and found air once again as Skull played the part of the matador in this bull-fight. Our hero from hell was surprised by the speed of Desperado, not having expected the broken man to be in such fine form.
What he failed to realise was he had painted an invisible red target on his back and Desperado would not stop until that red became a reality all over Skull’s body.
The cat and mouse game continued for quite some time and whilst at first the crowd cheered at Desperado’s failure, they soon became bored of the chase and began to jeer both superstars at the lack of action.“The fans aren’t too happy about the pace of the fight so far. I don’t think Skull has attempted a single strike.”
“Huh? What? There’s a fight going on? I think I must have slipped away there.”
“Maybe if you stopped drinking booze hidden in a Mountain Dew bottle, you’d be more aware of your surroundings you drunk geezer.”
Frustrated at not being offered any opportunities to cause his adversary any pain, the technically gifted superstar began to finally listen to reason. Perhaps his frenzy was calming a little or maybe it was the jeers of the crowd that snapped him back to reality. Either way, Desperado stopped for the moment, panting hard as he began to contemplate his choices.
His eyes fell upon the smirking face of Skull and immediately, all choices flew out of the window as bloodlust took over him once again.
How dare that bastard make fun on him?
The man from Horrorland anticipated Desperado’s arrival and forced into the ropes with a quick trip before finally deciding to take the offensive. This was obviously met by a sarcastic cheer from the crowd. Despy attempted to get his body off the ground but remained on all fours as he met a kick. A second kick was attempted but the Technical Tornado parried it away in a take-down locking Skull’s foot away into a submission out of nowhere.
The crowd suddenly rushed to their feet in excitement, again in exaggeration as Skull attempted to escape. The ankle lock was firmly in place but Skull being light on his feet was able to tuck his body into a roll to shake Desperado off, forcing him to loosen his grip.
Skull got to his feet a second before Desperado and rushed his foe as soon as was up, forcing him into a grapple-hold with his back toward the turnbuckle. There wasn’t much room to escape and being on the back-foot, Despy could feel his opponent taking the advantage.
With not many other options available, the former Nexus winner used his head, literally, butting his opponent in the nose to break free before landing an uppercut into Skull’s Jaw, sending him sprawling on the mat.
Wasting little time, Desperado decided to capitalize on this opportunity to take the lead in the match, having come to his senses all of a sudden.
