What seems to be a decade passes by before the lowering of the twisted cage is complete. The steel frame rattles ominously as it encases the two heated rivals inside. Finally, the sound of metal striking metal echoes throughout the packed Jared Nathan Memorial Gymnasium and the two competitors begin to draw closer. The pair starts off sluggishly, out of caution, knowing that both their egos and their well-beings are on the line tonight. Naturally, the more reckless of the two, Violence takes the first risk and lunges towards his bitter adversary. A classic battle for control ensues when the duo find themselves in the midst of a collar-and-elbow tie. Dominance shifts back and forth between the two, until Skull decides to take the easy road and brings his boot between the Philly born fighter’s legs. Unsurprisingly Matt quickly relinquishes the hold he once held on the Horrorland native and cups his targeted genitals. Violence, unable to protect his face eats a series of speedy punches to the head and eventually the Hellion throws an elbow in the mix that staggers his foe into the ropes.
Like a lion ready to finish off his prey, Skull leaps forward ready to crush Violence between his body and the steel wall behind him. Witty enough to see the attack coming, Matt avoids damage by dropping to the canvas, rolling out of harm’s way. This proves to be disastrous for Skull who crashes head and chest first into the steel cage.
Jimmy Pate: "Very slick of Violence to get out of the way just in time. I know first hand just how unforgiving that steel cage can be and believe me it will take a serious toll on these two as the match progresses." Ray White: "I don't think Violence is going to make it out of here a live. Skull is one pissed off S.O.B. and I don't think he's looking for an early win. He wants to drag this out as long as possible and make sure Matt leaves on a stretcher." "Jimmy Pate: "I think Violence is a lot more durable than you're giving him credit for. I mean it was only last week he was out here with Vladimir Strife with hardcore rules and look at him... Not a scratch on him despite losing the match up."
Wasting no time, Matt reaches up from the canvas and hooks Skull’s leg as he staggers back from the impact. As he falls back MV drags the Nightmare Warrior down and balls him into a schoolboy pin. Before the referee even had time to drop to the mat Skull thrashes his way out of the pin and swiftly makes his way to a vertical base with Matt following suit. Again the two find themselves circling each other like two wild wolves, both hesitant to make the first move. This time around it's Skull who grows impatient makes the first move, looking to take the Real-Life Rocky’s head off with a wild haymaker, luckily Violence sees the attack coming a mile away and ducks the punch with ease. Again MV capitalizes on one of his adversary’s mistakes and wraps his arms around the waist of the Hellion who had mistakenly turned his back on Violence after the big swing and a miss. Feeling his feet leave the ground, Skull can do nothing but kick his legs in an attempt to free himself from Matt’s clutch. Skull comes plummeting down to the canvas on the base of his neck with a resounding thud, but MV never releases his grip and instead rolls to his feet and drags his former partner along with him. Matt bends at the knees before springing up and reclining backwards to bring the Horrorland Hellion up and over his head for a second consecutive time. The fans finally start to come alive and together they all cheer for Violence as he begins working towards his third German suplex.
Ray White: "Skull better do something, he can't let Matt German suplex him for a third time! I can only imagine the type of pain he is already in after being dropped back on his head twice." Jimmy Pate: "Let me tell yah, he is not feeling to good right now. And it doesn't get any easier trying to escape after you're already been suplexed two times... The longer this goes on the harder it will be for him to free himself from Matt's grasp."
Skull desperately begins to fight back, throwing fists with fury behind him, trying his damnedest to rock Violence so that he can escape. Yet again his attempts to free himself are fruitless and he is lifted overhead and driven into the canvas for a third time, this time with Matt releasing the hold on his own accord. MV pushes up to a knee and smiles as he watches Skull roll around in agony, not many things have the ability to make Violence smile, but seeing his opponent hurt is always one of them.
Ray White: "How sick is this, Matt's got that sadistic smile on his face just watching his opponent roll around on the ground in pain! What kind of man takes pleasure in this!?" Jimmy Pate: "They aren't just opponent's Ray they are enemies these two genuinely cannot stand the looks of one another. Ever since their falling out when they were part of the Justice System these two have hated each other, and things are going to get a whole lot more ugly tonight, that's for sure."
Matt stands tall, his gaze shifting from Skull to the top of the cage, then back down to Skull. Seeing as though it looks like the Hellion might be out of it for a few minutes, Violence makes his way towards the cage and soon begins to climb. The audience begins to cheer on MV as he slowly but surely makes his ascent up the cage wall. Little less than a minute goes by and Matt has made it up the entirety of the fence, where he faces another obstacle; the barbed wire. The Ultra-Violent Superstar warily tries to avoid the sharp barbs and fights with the wire, trying to bend it down to make for a clear path. Unexpectedly the fans’ tone shifts to a more worried pitch. Matt picks up on the sudden change in mood, but before he can turn to discover Skull’s whereabouts, he has already grabbed a hold of MV’s boot. The Philadelphian begins kicking at Skull, trying to shake his grip but he isn’t able to put much effort into it while still trying to carry his weight up the cage. Like a monkey up a tree the Hellion Horrorland native catches up to Violence and begins dishing out some punches, none of which are enough to force Matt down the wall. Skull switches tactics and now begins to press on MV’s head, forcing it into the steel mesh. The Man is unable to defend himself as that would mean falling ten feet to the canvas, he just screams out in agony as his antagonist grinds his face into the unforgiving fence, cutting him open in the process.
Now in the driver’s seat, Skull releases his hand from MV’s head and instead drapes his arm across the shoulders of the man who he once aligned himself with. “It’s time to go for a ride, Matt!” After yelling into Matt’s face, the High Priest of Horrorland falls back and brings his rival along for the horrific decent. The combined weight of the two crash unceremoniously against the canvas, the steel rattles at all four corners upon impact, the fall proving to be a hazardous one. Both athletes writhe about on the mat, each dealing with their own world of pain, though it was Matt who clearly took the worse of the fall. Skull knowing he only has a small window of opportunity to capitalize, fights through the pain surging throughout his body and throws an arm over Violence. The official swiftly swoops down and begins pounding away at the mat.

Matt throws an arm into the air, lifting his shoulder off the mat and breaking the count. The one arm that Skull had draped over his chest was clearly not enough to hold The Ultra Violent Superstar down. Still reeling from the fall, Matt is slow to get back up to his feet and it is his opponent who reaches a vertical base first. Rather than attacking his downed prey straight away, Skull takes a few seconds to catch his breath and recuperate, all the while stalking Violence. The Real Life Rocky finally makes it up to his feet, using the ropes to himself up, then leans against the side of the cage as he tries to clear his head. This proves to be a fatal error which his ever-opportunistic opponent takes full advantage of. Setting the Philadelphian in his sights, Skull sprints across the ring and throws his entire 200+ lbs of body weight at Violence, sandwiching him against the cage. A sharp intake of breath from the crowd only serves to fuel Skull’s fire as he stands chest to chest with Matt, keeping his barely conscious foe pinned in place while he savours the reaction from the crowd. Finally, Skull steps aside, allowing Matt to stumble forward but rather than letting him fall flat on his face, The High Priest of Horrorland nips behind The Ultra Violent Superstar and grabs him around the waist. Though his face may be partially hidden behind his mask, Skull eyes tell a story of vicious intent. Without a fleeting thought of compassion for his former friend, Skull wrenches back, lifting Matt off of his feet, and slams his opponent into the unforgiving steel cage with a vicious german suplex. Matt hits the cage hard, connecting with his head and neck then falls into a crumpled heap on the canvas. The sadistic crowd applaud the carnage with a raucous ‘Holy Shit’ chant that ricochets around the gymnasium.
Ray: I agree with the crowd. Skull is really showing his new found vicious side tonight.
JP: We saw multiple German suplexes from Matt earlier on in this match, looks like Skull is playing a game of one-upmanship here.
Looking to end the match right here, Skull grabs Matt by the ankle and drags him into the centre of the ring, then covers him for the pin.

Just as the referee’s hand is lowering for the third and final time, Matt finds something within himself to kick out and his arm once again shoots to the sky, breaking up the pinfall.
JP: I don’t believe it. How the hell did he kick out.
Ray: Matt is one tough son of a bitch, Jimmy. Skull is going to have to practically kill him if he wants to win this match.
Back in the ring Skull stares down at his opponent in disbelief, almost certain that he had this match in the bag. Deciding to change tactics, The Hellion glances up to the top of the cage to the spot where Matt had began to work his way through the barbed wire. Seeing that little progress had been made, he instead turns his attention to the turnbuckle. With Matt still being barely responsive on the ground, Skull makes his way over to the corner and begins to fiddle with the top turnbuckle cover, eventually removing the padding and exposing the cold steel underneath. With the wheels of his plan now in motion, Skull makes his way over to Matt, grabs a handful of hair and tugs The Real Life Rocky back up to his feet. The fans know what is coming next and begin to boo the gothic wrestler but this has no effect on Skull’s twisted desires. He charges forward, dragging his opponent with him, looking to drive Philly’s favourite son face first into the exposed steel. Unfortunately for Skull, Matt is one step ahead and using his ring awareness, he sticks out his leg and connects with the second turnbuckle pad, using it to put on the breaks and avoid the kiss of death from the exposed buckle.
Infuriated by this sudden turn of events, Skull attempts to force Matt’s head closer to the buckle but he can’t overpower his stronger opponent and he gets nothing but an elbow to the face for his trouble. Skull stumbles backward but gets little reprieve as he soon feels Matt’s hand on the back of his head. Knowing what is about to happen but powerless to stop it, Skull can only watch the exposed buckle get closer and closer as Violence slams his head into it. The crowd erupt with a huge cheer as Skull falls victim to his own plot but The Ultra Violent Superstar isn’t finished with him yet. With a firm grip on the back of Skull’s mask, Matt slams The Hellions head into the exposed turnbuckle for a second, third, fourth time, the fans counting along with him until they reach 10. With the damage done, Matt allows his dazed and confused opponent to fall down to the mat, but rather than pin him straight away, the Philadelphia native decides to add an exclamation point. After kicking Skull over onto his back, Matt climbs up to the high rent district, towering over his fallen foe. Throwing caution to the wind, he leaps off the top rope then rotates his body, landing on top of Skull with a picture perfect swanton bomb.
Ray: Wow, you don’t see that everyday from Matt Violence.
JP: That shows how important this match is to these two. Matt is digging deep into is arsenal to try and put Skull away.
As soon as he connects, Matt quickly hooks Skull’s leg and the referee slides in to make the count.
