“Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, and is a submission match!”The crowd are on their feet at the prospect of more violence between two of their favourite EVPW stars. The first is quenched when the lights dim down and The Hearse Song by Harley Poe plays out around the gymnasium. The familiar song tell the crowd exactly who to expect and skull is greeted by a load cheer as he steps out onto the ramp, making his return to EVPW. Just as he promised, his appearance is much more serious than the fans are used to. His familiar top hat, coat, and face paint are gone, replaced by a long, black cloak and sinister-looking, skeletal mask which covers his entire face, hiding any trace of human emotion. “Introducing first, from The Inferno, weighing in at 213lbs, “The Hellion” Skull!”Ray: I’m not sure I like this new look from Skull. It’s just creepy. Can you hold me, Jimmy?JP: Don’t even think about it, Ray. Well Skull promised a new attitude and it looks like this is it. He said he’s tried of being treated like a joke and he wants people to be scared of him again. It looks like it working on you at least, Ray.As Skull walks down the aisle, he gestures toward his chest, where a miniature replica of Kahlan’s head hang from his neck. Ray: I guess he wasen’t lying about bringing back that shrunken head necklace.JP: Once upon a time Skull would add a head to that necklace for even opponent he beat. The likes of Wolverina, Ryan Hughes and indeed Kahlan once adorned that necklace.Ray: Well I guess Kahlan is the only one who matters right now. “I’ve beat you before and I’ll do it again”. Great way to send a message.JP: Let’s not forget that Skull said he would leave EVPW forever if he loses tonight. Certainly a very high stakes match.

As Kahlan’s entrance music fades out, she begins to make her way toward her opponent, her eyes firmly fixated on the miniature replica of her head which hangs around the neck of The Hellion. Skull himself stands motionless, his new mask hiding his emotions from his increasingly agitated opponent. Noticing Kahlan’s gaze, Skull brings his hand up to the necklace and takes it off, holding it high up into the air to taunt the Special One. Kahlan’s blood pressure rises as Skull continues to taunt her with the shrunken head, her top lip beginning to tremble as she tries to resist the urge to start screaming. As the tension builds, the fans begin to get restless and start chant at the two warriors in the ring.
Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
JP: The tension here is at fever point, Ray. It’s no secret that these two don’t like each other and Skull is deliberately trying to get under Kahlan’s skin, perhaps looking for a psychological advantage.
Ray: I’m not sure how wise that is. We all know how unpredictable Kahlan is. I certainly wouldn’t want to make her angry.
JP: The crowd are baying for violence right now. I think it’s time we rung the bell and turned these two loose.
As if on cue, the referee calls for the bell and the match is underway. It is Kahlan who makes the first move, leaping forward and cocking back her right arm. However, instead of the expected punch, she simply extends her arm, uncharacteristically proposing a handshake. All is not as it seems though, as unbeknownst to Skull, the fingers of her free hand are crossed behind her back, giving away her sinister intentions. The Nightmare Warrior stares down at his opponents’ hand, then back up to her face, trying to work out what she’s up to. Kahlan, meanwhile, just smiles sweetly, trying to lure Skull into her trap. On the outside, the crowd makes their opinion known, channelling Daniel Bryan with a loud chorus of No!’s. This seals the deal for Skull, who elects not to take part in Kahlan’s shenanigans and kicks her hand out of the way. This pleases the crowd but not Kahlan, who rushes forward with her arm out-stretched, furious that fiendish plan was thwarted. Seeing this coming, Skull ducks the clothesline attempt then nips behind Little K and wraps his arms around her midsection, trapping her in a vice-like waistlock. Knowing she can’t match strength with Skull, Kahlan makes no attempt to power out of the hold and instead goes for plan B; a swift elbow to the face. The move catches The Dark One flush in the jaw, causing him to break the hold and stumble back a few steps as he clutches the side of his face in pain. Seeing her opportunity, Special K sprints to the opposite ropes the bounces off them, making a bee-line for her stunned opponent. Unfortunately, Skull recovers just in time to scope her attack and the wily veteran manages to take the Geordie down with a drop toe hold. Kahlan’s head hits the canvas with thud, almost knocking her loopy, but The Hellion isn’t done with her yet. With malicious intent, he drops all of his weight on the small of Kahlan’s back, then reaches forward, interlocking his fingers together, and pulls back on Kahlan’s head.
JP: Skull taking control early here, breaking out the first submission of the match. This is going to wear Kahlan down, putting pressure on her neck and spine.
Ray: She’s awfully close to the ropes though, Jimmy. And Skull hasn’t trapped her arms at all.
Back in the ring, Skull viciously pulls back on Kahlan’s head, locking the crossface in even tighter and making his opponent cry out in pain. Although her vision is obscured by Skull’s hands, The Ladder Queen’s ring presence tells her that the bottom rope is just inches from her fingertips. Fighting through the pain, she stretches out her arms, blindly feeling around for the prize that will force Skull to break the hold...

Have we ever seen a photo of Kahlan? Are we sure this isn't 'her'?

Stretching her arm to its final limits and screaming profanities the entire way, Kahlan reaches the bottom ropes and curls her fingers around it. “Get him off me! Get him off me!” Her screams spur the referee on to begin a threatening count for Skull to release the hold. He abides by the rules and watches as Kahlan scrambles out from under him to wrap her body entirely around the rope. The referee to his credit gets right into Skull’s face and dissuades him from any further illegal intentions.
With Skull escorted to the furthest corner of the ring, Kahlan slowly unwrap her limbs from the rope and pulls herself up, eyeing the Hellion from under knotted furrows the entire time. She snaps her fingers a couple of times beckoning the man to come back but re-attach herself to the cables forcing the referee to attack Skull once again. The opportune time presents itself to her as she makes a quick dash across the square and drives a cheap shot into Skull’s skull over the referee’s back as he is busy talking rules into him. The ref dodges out of way as Kahlan makes it rain across the Nightmare Warrior. Rhythmically she manages to beat the man down to his knees. A quick run away and she is back bouncing towards Skull. The veteran ducks to the canvas.
JP: OH MY GOD! KAHLAN JUST WENT FLYING OUT OF THE RING, OVER THE SECURITY BARRIER AND INTO THAT LAD WITH THE POPCORN BUCKET! RW: She must’ve just broken an Olympics’ long jump record, or SOMETHING! JP: I think I heard something crack from all the way down here! Where is that god damned ring doctor? Somebody check that pile!
Not one to let an occasion get the better of him, Skull rolls out of the ring. He saunters, amidst the buzz of concern and excitement from the crowd, towards the scene. A push this way and a shove there clear a path for him. The attendants that were displaced have enough sense about them not to protest. The Hellion bends and grabs two fistfuls over the barrier; one full of unique blue locks, the other salty popcorn. “Come on bitch, fun isn’t over yet.” He drags Kahlan over and easily lifts her into the ring while munching away on the free popcorn and climbing some steps.
Inside, Kahlan pops up to charge Skull as he is trying to step through, but is met with a hard line of knuckles in the liver. Skull makes it in, stands up and spits the last bite out. He watches Kahlan make it up to her knees and hooks her head in. The act raises her weight slightly off her knees due to the discrepancy in height. The High Priest of Horrorland casts a glance to the side as the man who had been knocked down from Kahlan’s jump gets back up, enjoying the show once again, as if nothing had happened. Only then does he drop on his back scrambling the Special One’s brains across the mat.
JP: Ouch! RW: Skull is taking no prisoners. He isn’t fooling around, he isn’t trying to prolong anything or act up to an audience. He is back with a mission. He wants to win and win as fast and as resoundingly as possible. JP: You’re right Ray but unfortunately that doesn't bode well for Ladder Queen.
TBD
Note, unless you’re Skull… GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY THREAD!
