The scene open’s with a freshly shaven Tayler Nathan Thomas sitting on a couch, across the stage from him is the always stunning Lizzie Morna. The hustle and bustle of EVPW’s technical staff can be heard as they scurry about the stage ensuring the sound and lighting equipment is running at optimal efficiency. This is a new experience for Tayler as he rarely allowed time for sit down interviews in his previous runs, preferring instead to scream into a camera without being accompanied by Evpw’s resident interviewer. Before the interview segment begins a taped segment featuring Chris Pyro is played on a monitor in front of Tayler and Lizzie, the segment consisted of Pyro suggesting a heated rivalry and his need for revenge.
Lizzie “ Tayler, first of all I’d like to thank you for agreeing to this interview. Before I ask any questions, can I just get your initial thoughts on what you and the audience have just heard from Chris Pyro?”
Tayler “Lizzie, it is a pleasure to be back here in EVPW and I am grateful for the opportunity to respond to this, how do I put it, unique video from Chris pyro. It’s always nice to be remembered Lizzie, you know?”
Tayler leans forward in his seat adjusting a crease from his jeans attempting to find a more comfortable position. His mind wanders as he begins to think on the possible match up with Chris Pyro on the grand reopening show.
Lizzie” So you are set to face Chris Pyro in what will surely be a…”
Tayler “An explosive contest? Come on Lizzie you are better than that. Every time TNT faces Pyro, somebody has to make a shitty pun about explosions, let’s move past it for now k? I can only assume you were planning on asking me about my initial reactions to facing Chris Pyro. First of all and let me make this clear, Pyro is a solid ring technician. The man is not without talent and of course he likes to play dress up. Now is not the time and place to discuss the man’s sexual tendancies but I’m going to do it anyway.”
Lizzie “ Tayler please, if we could keep this interview professional and focus on the match up.”
Tayler sit’s back on the sofa, Lizzie’s plea for professionalism has caught him off guard. He allows himself a moment to regain his composure before continuing the interview.
Tayler” Your right Lizzie but let me pose you a question. In the same video he says that I cost him his old partner and then proceeds to mention that he has use of his new partner later on in the night. This new partner by the way runs away dressed up as a gimp coated head to toe in black leather, now can you honestly tell me the two of them don’t seem a little too close to you?”
Tayler uses his hands to make air quotes as he mentions the word too. His face is painted with a sly smile as he raises his right eyebrow to Lizzie while awaiting her reply. Lizzie meets his look with a professional nod as she prepares for her next response.
Lizzie” Tayler I am here to ask the questions and not answer them. Either you show a bit of professionalism or I am going to have to cut this interview short.”
Tayler “ Are you actually calling me out on professionalism? In this company of all places? This company allows people to run around in their pajama’s and damn near murder each other and you are calling into question my professionalism for pointing out what everyone is thinking?”
Tayler pushes himself up from the sofa and viciously lashes out at the monitor he had watched the previous segment on. He sadistically strides towards the cameraman only stopping inches in front of the camera.
Tayler” Lizzie you are excused, now get the fuck out of here before I do something you are going to regret.”
He glances over his shoulder as Morna calmly collects herself and walks off stage. Tayler once again glares into the eye of the camera.
Tayler” Pyro, you say you have unfinished business with me, that’s fine I hope you and that so called shadow of yours bring your A game. I had no issue with you, as far as I can remember I have destroyed you every time we have stepped into the ring together. Hell I even beat the living shit out of your little bum boy Brooks and sent him packing into obscurity. So here it is, you say you want revenge and you want to make this shit personal fine. Bring Shadow, bring Brooks bring the whole kung fu nation with you because on the 17th you are going to need them all. Once we step inside the ring, no amount of flamboyant outfits or flashy showmanship is going to save you. When we stand toe to toe inside that ring, face to face, everyone is going to discover something about you Chris.”
Tayler let’s his last statement hang in the air a moment, Choosing to roll a coin across his knuckles before continuing.
Tayler” Has Pyro got what it takes to make it in this business. Now don’t misunderstand me Christopher, I understand you’ve been in this business a long time, almost as long as you have enjoyed playing dress up but in all those years, have you really made it on your own? Every time you have held gold or even gotten close to tasting it you’ve had someone by your side carrying you, hiding your flaws, Brooks, Hallsworth, Shadow the name doesn’t matter the thing they all have in common is you have used them to make yourself appear better. As you know Pyro, deep down appearances don’t mean shit, dressing in those fancy robes make you a ninja as much as me banging some ring rat last night makes me a gynecologist.”
Tayler brings his left hand up to his nose and sniffs his fingers before smirking at the camera.
Tayler “Chris I am done talking, you wanted to make this personal and come the 17th it will be as personal as it gets inside the ring. Obviously not as personal as you and Shadow like to get when the lights go out at night. I am ready to go to war Pyro, to test myself and see if I still have what it takes to succeed in this business I suggest you prepare to find out if you ever had it in the first place.”
Tayler throws the camera to the ground causing the video to fade to black.
