Introducing "EVPW Legends"

EVPW has always been a place where we choose to think outside the box and push the limits of creativity. In line with this, we have come up with a new system with which to honor the most fabled warriors and writers EVPW has ever seen. Those whose names have left such an imprint upon EVPW that it is almost impossible to think of one and not the other. Instead of waiting until once a year and selecting a batch, stars will be dubbed Official EVPW Legends as the time comes right, cementing their legacy with our company. This also ensures that if we have a year where we would do a Hall of Fame but don't have many great candidates, there will be no pressure to push people in regardless. Allow me to explain how this system works.

For consideration as an EVPW Legend, an owner will have to 'endorse' a member, making a case for them to be considered for the spot and presenting it to staff. The staff will then vote on the matter and at least 50% of them will need to vote in favor of the motion for it to move into the next step. That next step is for you, the members, to vote upon it, as you are the lifeblood of EVPW. This vote needs to succeed by 50%, plus whatever percentage of staff voted against. If 25% of staff voted against Legend status for the star in question, it then needs to pass through the members with at least 75% in favor for to succeed. This ensures that owners, staff, and members ALL have a say in this, so that no group can ever abuse the system. Also, it's a bit of a high standard, but this is simply because it should be at least near unanimous if we are to truly call someone a Legend of EVPW.

Admin is just going to pick people we agree are Legends to create more surprise and make this a lot easier.

With that hopefully clarified to satisfaction, we have decided to forgo voting for one time and one time only. To kick off the EVPW Legends system, we proudly announce our first Legends: Jerry Nate and Jaggeroth. Stars whose names echoed the proverbial halls of our company before tragedy took them away from us. It is not because of this loss that we dub these characters and the man behind them a Legend, but rather the reason we do it now. Anyone familiar with EVPW or GHW in recent years knows all too well about the Demon of Elkhorn Valley, the Shotgun Kid, and the man behind them who made both characters and both federations something to behold. I'll save the details for his induction page, which will go up in the next week, but Jared's contributions to both EVPW and GHW are simply immeasurable, both in character and behind the scenes and we are proud to call him our first official Legend.
