Nate brought this up with me earlier and the truth is that I'm not sure how to proceed in light of Jared's passing. Do we take a few weeks to grieve or do we press on? Should we do something in his memory and, if so, what? I really just don't know and so I'm leaving it up to you guys. It's a sensitive situation, clearly, so here's a spot for anyone to get out their thoughts on that matter and let's all make sure we stay respectful of one another's opinions.

I say do a kind of tribute to him wrestling style. Maybe take a week and all the characters do a little promo in honor of Jared.

That is a good question, but if it was you...would you want your friends to take time off for greiving over you or would you rather they work on keeping your legacy and memory alive and have a show that is dedicated to you? I am sure putting things on hold would probably work, because I don't think most of us on here that knew Jared would be able to put any good work on. On the same hand, it could give motivation to bust out that novel.
Either way, I am cool with

My personal opinion on the matter is to take the next card off.. I know I wont be able to put together a proper RP after this, especially considering I've already had trouble with putting together an RP lately. Also after talking with Rhaps, think a Dedicated board to "Fallen Bretheren" should be created and we can post promos and such in there in memory of Jared or any RPs you write in there can be dedicated to his memory or what have you.
Also, on that note, I vote to retire the King of the Deathmatch Title and leave Jerry Nate as the last owner of the title. Then we can create another title to that extent if ya'll want. Forgive anything in this that makes no sense I'm a little scatter brained right now.

Retire it and bring in something completely new for a 'mid-card' I guess we can call it that title... And pretty bad that my net goes out so I have to go the library to get on here and I come back to this bit of news... Wow... Just wow... I know Jared is probable going to haunt me for saying this, but God please look after my friend... God bless you all...

Wow, I'm glad someone posted this. I've been thinking about what we should do as far as the fed is concerned, but this has been a hard time and I didn't want to be insensitive. I had so many plans, so many ideas, but all were contingent on Jared's return; I was just so sure he'd be coming home to us, but now that I know he's not it leaves a lot of questions to be answered. Do we worry about continuity, or do we just leave everything as is? KingBear I think you're idea about the KOTDM Title is excellent, I can't think of anyone I'd rather see hold that belt for the rest of eternity, and on top of that I can't really think of a delicate way of passing the title on to someone new. To be honest I have no idea what I could possibly write right now. I just don't know right now.

Retire the belt. The man lived for violent matches, it's the least we can do.

I think KB is right.. Let's skip this Genesis and take that time to all grieve in our own ways. We'll get the Fallen Brethren board up in the next few days and we'll dedicate our next show to him.
And like he and Ryan and many others said, it seems fitting to retire the King Of The Deathmatch with Jerry.
On the subject of what Wyziner said, I honestly don't know what to do as far as continuity goes or how we proceed in terms of the in character part, but it is something else we can figure out together.

Alright... Boys and girls I have made one decision already after dicussing with someone close to me... I'm gonna be honest the ONLY reason I brought 'Mrs. Nathan' back in the first place was because I owed Jared and he asked me to bring her back. And I will be honest I was turn between killing her off AGAIN due to recent events because of the way she was brought back, but I have decided to keep Amanda out of respect and in memory of the man who was the major inspiration and reason for the person she has become... That said... I know a few other people besides me Jared talked to about the Circus and at least one of those people have brought the subject up... My decision like I said I am going to keep Amanda and I think those that were talked to about the Circ should PM me... When you are able and we can discuss what to do I have my own opinion on the matter, but I am not going to force anyone to do anythinig they don't wanna do... I thank you for taking the time for reading this and I WILL be doing my best to be one at least once or twice a day until the weather gets really bad where I am... My net at home is no longer working and IF the company tries to charge us to fix their equipment my stepdad is going to tell them to shove it up their asses which means I am going to have to go to the library to get on the net... So as I said I will be on at least once a day when I can or at least three times a week... So as I said I do kinda agree that we take this genesis to grieve and mourn our loss... And I already said that we SHOULD retire the KotDM title with Jerry being the last holder.... Again I thank anyone who takes the time to read this long ass post... Lots of love for all of you... My brothers and sisters of the web

I was also thinking, why not retire his pic bases? If we're retiring the title, it'd be just as respectful to retire his Jaggeroth and Jerry Nate bases.

I completely agree with the title retiring and taking a show off, and dedicating the next show to him.
On top of that, I would like to go one step further if possible, and maybe change the name of the arena/gymnasium to honor him. I know storyline wise EVPW was going to be going on the road some, but as far as the home front of Concord, California, maybe change it from Solid Core Gymnasium to (insert good jaggeorth/Jerry Nate/Jared Nathan name combo here) memorial arena/gymnasium. Jared Nathan Memorial Gymnasium/arena? I know when these feds were dead he, at times, was literally the only one keeping it running from an admin stand point. Seems fitting.

Why not set up an annual tournament. Jaggeroth/Jerry Nate Memorial or something.
