Explain what you meant by "feeling like a jobber"? You lost a lot? You were put into unfair situations as the fed's resident whipping boy? No matter how well written your posts were you were never given that victory you so greatly coveted/deserved?

I disagree with the ideas put forth in that site, but it saddens me to see that you feel that you were not given proper treatment. However, did you make your feelings known before leaving the site? Have you made any steps toward trying to resolve these issues? How are these problems you're experiencing supposed to be resolved by administration without them being made known?
I would happily face you in a match, I would happily develope a storyline with anybody that asks, but that's just the thing... You have to ask.

How to approach this subject... I understand the writer's point and there's definitely situations where such a thing is a concern. The article comes from a viewpoint though that this is always a bad thing and the truth is simply that it's not. They have their opinion, sure, but the world is far from so black and white. Our staff is gathered from members, to whom it would be highly unfair to ask to stop roleplaying because they help out. As it addresses owners more pointedly though, I'll go to that.
Here in EVPW, nobody ever has a say in judging their own match unless they are choosing to throw it. Take our most recent PPV, Total Carnage, for example. Jared's match was called by Envy, who I know to be a very unbiased and fair judge. My match was called by Rhaps, who that also applies to and who has filled such a role many many times since the beginning of EVPW. I called their match. If anyone takes issue with the judgment of their match (something that has occurred perhaps twice since the site began), it is looked into by the rest of staff. We have no tolerance as far as bias is concerned and I can safely say that I've not had even a single time that it did.
I can understand perhaps a slight apprehension if you're worried that it might, but I prefer to deal in what is. You could decide to post up a picture of yourself crapping into a fan and post it everywhere, but I'm not going to ban you on the grounds that you might.
Now, that said, I do take offense to the notion that there is any bias or favoritism when I don't see anything to suggest it so beyond someone's opine. If you see something you believe to be an example of such, I encourage you 100% to bring it to attention, but I've been calling contests for over 5 years without so much as once being accused of bias and if you want to put it out there that myself or any other member of staff is, I want proof.
As for your losses, I don't believe I've read any of your matches, but with you saying outright that you acknowledge you aren't a very strong rper, it kind of sounds like they were deserved and that you know this. That is how we manage things. We do try to pair people against other stars of their caliber, but if your opponent did do a better job, we will give them the win and there is, unfortunately, a small sect of the community that fall under the standards of most and find themselves racking up losses. I'm sorry if it seems unfair, but our first priority is to call the contest fairly and declare a winner without concern for how many either star has won or lost previously or how they will react.
Now, if you care to be less vague about the issue, I'm all ears, but an unfounded insinuation that any staff member about the site has a conflict of interest in being an active member of the roster is highly inappropriate..

Sorry for the response above, I know you said no offense meant to the current management. But the thing is, Vlad and I were previously the management in EVPW as well. HOWEVER, I assume you probably meant the times between when Vlad and I were running this place. Khan, I assure you, with less defensiveness than Vlad, that we are as unbiased as we can be and we do our best to bring up as many people as we can. Now I will admit that some people tend to be brought up a bit more often than others but that is because they make themselves known that they want to be brought up. Some people are just here to RP, others want to win. Personally, I just want to RP and I completely disagree and completely agree with the poster of the article you posted. Most feds are very biased, every fed I see around has the Owners as the champs. And I dont think they should be constantly holding championships. I personally prefer not to hold any championships and if I do win them, I drop them as quick as I can. I know Vlad held a Championship(s) for a very long time and he rarely lost. But the thing about that, there was and is a reason he rarely lost. Vlad is a very dedicated RPer and one of the best writers I know. Now, that's not to say there arent people that are better than him. It's just the people that actually challenged him thinking they were top notch(because they were in another fed) just werent better than him by any means. I challenge you to go back and read any match I judged in my 7 years judging matches and find that I was biased. Unlike Vlad, in my 7 years judging matches, I have been accused of being biased by someone who was very upset about a loss he rightly suffered at the hands of Vlad. But if I feel like I have the inability to be unbiased while judging a match, I will refuse to judge it. Now, again, I'm sorry if you felt attacked earlier. I want you to understand that I will personally do my best to make sure you and every other member is treated fairly. And I also want you to sign up for a match, and shoot me a PM if you have any problems in the future.

Also Khan if you felt that you needed help, you could have hit up Rurouni...he is more then willing like envy to work with anyone who has help...I have been in your shoes many, many years ago, I have been in the shoes that both Vlad and KB are in now and were in before. Also as you would have found out staying longer, that a lot of us on here are more then willing to work and help you get better...Ask Vlad, KB, maybe Envy how many different play styles I have hahaha. But yeah never be afraid to ask for help

Khan, the guys and gals running this site now are a lot different than the assclowns that were running things when you came through. I understand where you're coming from, believe me, there was a time the admins hated me and treated me like shit because I called them out on bullshit. I've head run-ins with everyone, including Vlad. Sometimes I was justified, sometimes not. We hashed it out though. So in a way you are right for being hesitant about coming back. I will tell you flat out that not a single person on this site is 100 percent unbiased. It is human nature to be biased to some degree, even if it is very small and possibly even on a subconscious level, and manifests itself in seemingly mundane things in life. They even did scientific studies on subjective bias and found that those who deemed themselves pretty unbiased were wrong. Do I 100% trust these people to always treat me right and judge every match I have completely unbiased? No, I don't. But I do trust them in the 90 percentile to do so. If that makes sense?
But you are wrong in lumping Vlad and KB in with the likes you suffered under previously. Vlad, Rhaps, KB, Envy and the crew are leaps and bounds ahead and above those shit-bags. I have been in GHW and EVPW since 2008 and I know EXACTLY who you are referencing and those guys did not give a shit. They didn't try to help you or anyone if memory serves me correctly. If you weren't in their circle or if you were not a female with big tits and a nice ass, they didn't give a shit about you and I am sorry you had to come along during that stretch of time. The guys and gals that run this place now actually will try to help you and won't treat you like shit. I will help you too if I can. Shit, man, we NEED you to join because we only have maybe 3 or 4 active posters now. Try us out for a few weeks, at least until after MadHouse, then go from there. Sound good?

And I understand that, which is why I try my best to be as unbiased as I can. And when I'm not sure about a match I'm judging, I ask for opinions. Again, thanks and I hope that we continue to make you and every other member here proud to be in EVPW.

If you end up not enjoying it or feel like you're getting biased calls, you're always free to walk away, but we could always use another star and you might just end up enjoying yourself.

No, it wasn't Vlad and it wasn't King Bear, you two are good people, unbiased, and work hard. I just still have a very nasty taste in my mouth from when between you two were in charge. The person who was in charge at the time created an alternate character, and used me to "boost" his character because he was the only admin at the time. It wasn't that I lost a lot, I don't care about that, wins happen, losses happen, not everyone can win every single match except probably Vladimir. You were put into unfair situations as the fed's resident whipping boy? Doesn't help that I felt he was biased to me at the time. I believe it was shawn something, or something. As for letting someone know about the abuse, there was nobody else to tell. Vladimir was on leave and King Bear was mia. I think I expressed my feelings to Jaggeroth, I might have, I might not have, I don't really remember, in all honesty he is the only person why I come back to this site. I have to go for now, but I will finish reading all your posts and comment on them accordingly.

Actually in a different e-fed right now, haven't been doing the match things anymore, and in my opinion (I wasn't very good at it). Jaggeroth checked it out for a while, but I guess he really didn't like it.
And gonna be busy next month due to NaNoWriMo.
