The camera fades in on a heavily bandaged and obviously upset SM Raye. The One Man Militia from the Windy City lays in a hospital bed. The look on his face is a mixture of pain and anger, staring through the camera to those watching at homes. He licks his lips as his left hand twitches and balls up into a fist.
"Well obviously I am NOT in the best of shape... And as much as I hate to say it I have little choice, but to listen to the wishes of my wife and doctors..."
The Franchise looks down to the blanket covering the lower half of his body, not wanting to say what he is about to let leave his lips.
"Due to the injuries I gathered over the years... And the viciousness and injuries from Genesis... I am forced to... Vacate my tag team title shot... And take some... Time to recover... It is unclear as to WHEN or IF I will be able to return to the ring... But at this time I rather not talk about it and talk about what I originally had planned for after the Genesis pay per view..."
The battered and bruised veteran licks his lips again, trying not to move too much.
"Welcome to Raye's Picks... Yeah couldn't come up with a better name so fuck off... I will think of one next time around... Hell I might be nice and let YOU bleating bastards pick it... But yeah... This is a top ten and highlight thing I had in mind... So let's get going..."
With a grimace of pain showing through on his visage SM reaches over to the desk and grabs a piece of paper.
"Jerry Nate (Which we later found out was replaced with Jaggeroth) versus Ryan Hughes... Congrats your psychotic bastard... You pulled it off enough said..."
He looks at the paper for the next event.
"EVPW Bar Brawl... Winner the fans... Who gives a rat's ass? Though I will give credit where credit is due... Tough ass mother fuckers were in that one... Great work on giving the people a show guys... Now back into asshole mode... Winner Big Jim over Spike Steel... Who apparently left his balls with Red Winters... Decimator title Match... Envy vs Hawke... Well that one was exciting from what I seen of it... But go figure... Pyro's lil boot licker got turned into the green haired minx's bitch... Way to let a woman lay waste to you in what should be a MAN'S world... TLC with a chick... It is TABLES, LADDERS, and CHAIRS NOT a TIT LICKING CUNT match... Thank you for shaming not only yourself, but the whole male sex in general."
The final result leaves the so called living legend shaking his head.
"The SCW Death Match... A match that on that night took a lot of bodies and at least one life... So I heard... The over-all winner well seeing where I am... Is Kade Samuels... Congrats Rook... You took more than I thought you could and seeing as I won't be able to make it to the Tag Team title match most likely... YOUR ass better win it... As sick as I am that I cannot make it... The fact that the guy with the LEAST experience in this business makes it there and does NOT go all the way is going to make me projectile vomit to the umpteenth degree... That said good show y'all I'll be waiting for the next one... I WILL be watching... Know that..."
The Franchise bits down and grits his teeth as a pain racks his entire body.
"Now... Onto... The... Next part of this lil excursion... The first ever EVPW top ten list as I see it... If any disagrees with me... Fuck off..."
He takes a shaky breath and fights through the pain.
"Starting the list at number ten... Lowest on the totem pole is none other than... Bella Morte... She may have not have had the best record in the world... But respect for the fallen is a major thing with me... Rest in piece Ms. Turpin you will be missed..."
He rolls his eyes and continues on.
"Number nine is Big Jim... Reason I am adding you onto this list is seeing you are the reigning and defending King of the Deathmatch Champion... You have done a lot in your matches for EVPW though not many the impact is there and I look forward to seeing what else you can do... Number eight... Mr. Jerry Nate...Jerry you might be gone, but not forgotten and I did enjoy what I saw out of you... Wherever you are kid good luck..."
A nurse walks in and hands The Courier of Controversy a pill and a glass of water. He takes the pill reluctantly and chokes down the water.
"Number seven... I have to give this spot to Erik Ornstien... This kid has a lot of potential and being one of the many students of legends around here means he has a lot of room to grow and improve... I look forward to seeing more of this kid's work... Number six... I have to give this spot to Chris Pyro.... Fuck you Chris... That is all... You made the list this high due to principle alone... So don't get a swelled head."
The words escape his lips and Raye's face contorts to almost as if he has swallowed acid when he said those words.
"Number five... I have to give this slot to someone no one would really expect... I have to give this spot to the man who beat Ryan Hughes at Genesis... Jaggeroth simply due to the way he made an appearance and dominated his opponent... Number four... I will take that spot for myself just because I can... Number three... The Legend himself Vladimir Strife... The Co-owner of EVPW has only had a handful of matches since re-opening EVPW, but he has dominated like he always has... Congrats Vlad..."
The Franchise smirks to himself and chuckles before gritting his teeth as a surge of pain once again shoots through him.
"Number two... I have to say after much thought and deliberation the top two spots came down to a coin toss on who had the best night at the Pay per view... Congrats Kade Samuels... You have won over the fans and made it down to the final two alongside me in the SCW Death Match that says a lot about your ability... Good luck in your future... Best thing I will say to you so enjoy it..."
The One Man Militia's face is unreadable as he stops before announcing the number one slot. He rolls his neck for a moment.
"Number one spot goes to... The NEW EVPW DECIMATOR CHAMPION Aryana 'Envy' Renfield... Yeah that's right I said it... About as sick as I am about putting Pyro on this list I have to give credit where it is due... Envy congrats.."
Raye takes the cup that is still in his hand and hurls it at the camera.
"NOW GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!"
The scene fades to black.
