Gimmick: Vince Vegas, though billed from Las Vegas Nevada, is a
Canadian pro-wrestler from small town New Brunswick. “Vicious” Vince, or
as him often refers to himself, “The Vicious One”, is a self-absorbed,
egotistical, narcissist who will take any and every opportunity to point
out his superiority, as well as the inferiority of others. The only
thing the fans hate more than his attitude, is his winning smile. Vegas
is well composed outside of the ring, but is infamous for losing control
inside the ring. He is a graduate of Calgary’s Hart Family Dungeon.
Like all Dungeon graduate’s, Vegas was put through the ringer by the
Hart family, and developed a high tolerance for pain. Vegas has a “never
give up; never say die” attitude, and a set of technical wrestling
skills to match.
After graduating from the Dungeon, Vince Vegas
(real name Ronald Hucklemeyer), began touring the Canadian independent
pro-wrestling scene, mostly around eastern Canada and the Toronto area.
He has wrestled the likes of Kevin Steen, Petey Williams, Michael Elgin,
Rhyno and Tyson Dux, even occasionally coming out on top. He earned the
nick name “Vicious” while wrestling as a babyface at an independent
wrestling show in Ottawa. Vegas was using the moniker “the Ultimate
Gentleman”, but broke character after being potatoed too many times by
an inferior opponent. Vince brutally beat his opponent in a vicious
attack, which resulted in broken ribs and fewer teeth for his
counterpart. Most disturbing of all, after his opponent was battered,
bloody and broken, Vegas grabbed his opponent’s hand, brought it into
the air for all to see, and broke the index finger by bending in the
opposite direction. The crowd was disgusted by his actions, throwing
garbage and empty beer cans at him. But Vegas embraced the jeers and
became known as “Vicious” Vince Vegas.
Fighting Style: Despite is heel character, Vince is a smooth technical worker.
