In EVPW we used to run a show every week, even 2 shows a week at the peak of our member base. Now, we want to change things up. We figure this should be about RPing as much as it is about matches and winning matches. So we're going to a show every other week format.
For example, our first show will be April 8th 2013 and end April 15th 2013. Our next show wont be until April 22nd 2013. Eventually when our member base gets a bit bigger, we'll add another "show" and run each one every other week.
The reason for this is because we want people to be able to build up storylines and do background RPs and such between matches. It's difficult to challenge someone to a match and actually have it show up on the following card. This allows the GMs time to judge matches as well as set up new cards. It also gives us, as RPers, a chance to develop things.
You can easily set up a match with someone and plan to lose or plan to win the match and start a feud that way. Our PPVs will be run every 2 months, basically 4-5 shows between PPVs. Giving us a grand total of 6 PPVs a year. Which will make them a bit more special for us because they wont be so often. There is more to come as the site evolves but we wanted to give everyone an idea of what to look forward to.
We want EVPW to become a Wrestling Roleplaying Website, not just a match writing fed.
