The curtain between the backstage area and the ringisde area flutters open as the wounded Adam Jones makes his way to his locker room after his loss to Ryu Yoshikazu, obviously still in some pain. His brazen face tells the story, as Jones walks slowly past the road agents with anger, shaking his head in disgust with himself. At a very inopportune moment, the click-clack of high heels hits the eardrums of the Hardcore Icon and he turns his head to face the purveyor of such noise, revealed to be none other than EVPW's resident interviewer, Lizzie Morna. Morna signals for her camera crew to hold up, before asking a simple question to the superstar.
Care to give a few words?
Jones looks down and starts to shake, Lizzie putting her hand on the back of the Bostonian after a few seconds, worried about his state of mind. Jones reacts badly to the touch and throws Morna off his shoulders, grabbing a nearby television monitor and throwing it to the concrete floor, the glass that makes up the screen shattering. The technicians and the road agents all raise their heads in shock and Jones carries on with the mindless destruction, kicking a nearby crate a few times, throwing a pile of assorted electrical goods to ground and finally, punching the wall. Jones walks away from the scene with renewed vigour and bolts into his locker room, slamming the door behind him.
After a few seconds, Jones comes back out of his locker room, walks back to the backstage area he's just come from and locates Morna. Jones pats Lizzie on the back and when she turns around, he pulls the microphone to his lips and angrily begins to rant at the camera.
You know what, Lizzie, I will give you a few words. This is really starting to piss me off. I come to work every day and strive to be the best I can be and I try to make sure the fans enjoy EVPW, but what have I got in return. Nothing. I've never even won a title in EVPW and there is nothing the fans can do to change that. Losing matches like tonight is not going to get me anywhere and I don't think the fans appreciate that, so you know what, I may as well get it out in the open. EVPW, if you won't respect my dedication and desire to put on a show for the EVPW fans and this sport we all come here to enjoy, then quite simply, I won't respect anyone here. Not the bigwigs, not the officials, the staff, the superstars and definitely not the fans. You've ALL been warned.
Jones pushes the microphone back to Morna and heads back to his locker room, leaving the interviewer and her camera crew at a loss for words.
