A Meeting of the Minds

Chris Pyro is walking backstage, exhausted after his triple threat match. Daisuke meets him with an ice pack, placing it on the Dragon's neck to cool his body.

Pyro;
Is everything ready?

Daisuke:
Yes. But... Are you sure you should do this? It's a lot of strain on your body.

Pyro:
I will be alright. Just going to hit the showers, and I will be good.

They walk to the locker room where Pyro proceeds into the showers. After a little while, Pyro emerges dressed with a white kimono top and blue hakama pants. His sword is placed on the floor, where Pyro kneels. Pyro bows his head and grips the sword, and places it on his hip. After a few seconds of deep breathing by Pyro, he quickly draws the sword and slashes at an invisible enemy. He then begins to do a quick sequence of attacks, as if he were fighting an army of men.

[Matt Violence]

As Pyro continues to swing his sword around in an artful manner, the door squeaks open. This sound puts Pyro into full Ninja mode and alarms in instincts. As soon as the man steps foot in the locker room he is held by his neck against the closest wall with the sword pinned to his stomach. Pyro after observing it was only a friend and current tag team partner Matt Violence, releases his hold and backs away, bowing to Matt as a show of apology.

Matt Violence: Easy, easy. I come in peace.

Pyro re-cases his sword properly and returns it to his hip.

Chris Pyro: Yeah, well you're lucky I didn't cut your nuts off.

The two HIV members share a laugh as Matt straps off his prized Knockout title and places it over his shoulder. He replies to Pyro with a friendly smirk while sitting in a steel chair.

Matt Violence: You know, with all this training you do you might end up hurting yourself more than your next opponent.

Matt laughs at his statement, curious on how Pyro will take it.

Pyro smiles to himself, with his back to Matt, after his comment. He turns around and looks the Ultra-Violent One in the eyes, dead serious.

Pyro:
All my training kept you from ever beating me.

An awkward silence fell over the two, with Pyro's seriousness making it almost uncomfortable for either to laugh. A few moments pass, when a smile comes across the Dragon's mouth.

Pyro:
But that is all in the past, we are partners now. But if I were you Matt, I would train harder then you normally do. You are a champion now, you better take it seriously. If not, I am sure even that incestuous whore Brandy Meadows could take it off of you with very little effort.

Pyro pats MV on the shoulder, as he goes back to where he was standing, and begins training with his sword.

Pyro:
So, anything you wish to talk about? We have not talked with each other since we formed Honor in Violence. I made it clear why I chose you as a tag team partner, but I never got a reason from you why you agreed.

Pyro does a series of three slashes, the last one coming within inches of Matt's face, with Pyro smirking at him.

[Matt Violence]

Matt looks timidly at the tip of Pyro's deadly weapon, fear of Chris slipping and doing bodily harm racing through the young one's head. For his own safety, Matt steps back out of his partner's deadly range.

Matt Violence: "Will yah watch that damn thing bro? I'm sure this cage match will have me torn to shreds, I don't need you giving Magnus a head start!"

Pyro takes a step away and continues to ward off some more invisible trespassers, one-by-one. Matt then starts to answer Pyro's question, his tone intimating how he's a little apathetic and annoyed at Pyro's interrogation.

Matt Violence: "Well, I'll never have to worry about getting mugged, that's for sure. But seriously I don't know, uh, I just thought it would be a good idea. I mean the two of us kicked each other's asses enough times, I figured we could be pretty damn dominate if we united yah know?"

The Hardcore Philadelphian watches as Pyro repeats his drills with his sword.

Pyro finishes his final sequence, and carefully places the sword back in its sheath. The Dragon looks at Matt as he finishes his explanation.

Pyro:
Fair enough. But we have our work cut out for us now. With the Cult of Darkness in shambles, not like there was there to begin with, we have High and Mighty to deal with. With my loss last week taking me out of contention for the Eagle Division Championship, we need to take some ground here. You have a title, you better keep it. Seeing as I have been relegated to the pre-show, I will be watching the main event with interest. Two friends fighting over the top prize will always strain a relationship.

Pyro takes a seat on the bench in his locker room, and grabs a water bottle.

Pyro:
The landscape here has changed a lot rather quickly. I did not see much stock in the Cult of Darkness' strength, and with them losing their belts, it makes them an even bigger joke. We have to make sure Honor in Violence does not become the same way.
