The scene opens up in a dark alleyway. A man, trying to hide himself in a long coat and a detective hat is spotted standing by a garbage can, looking suspicious. He has an envelope in his hand and continues to look around as he awaits for somebody's arrival. The lighting of the lampost above him gives him away as he enters the illumination for a brief while.
With a mustache of that nature, there was little doubting who it was. William Jenkinson, the lowest ranked member of the Company Four. That was, if you didn't include Zero as part of the group of corporate sharks. He was the one that was looked down upon by the rest of the group. Not because he wasn't as clever as the rest of them for he was probably the smartest in the group but his ways were sneaky, low and he was generally not trustworthy. However, this was also his biggest asset to the group.
It didn't take long for his impatience to be answered as another man, probably in his early thirty's arrived. He wore an old raincoat, one of those cheap one's that you can buy from any random store. His shoe's were tacky and you could tell he wasn't one who cared much for his appearance but he looked just as shifty as Billy Jenkinson. A camera was hung around his neck which gave the impression that he was either a photographer or a reporter. Judging from his looks, most definitely a reporter.
He greeted William in a casual manner with an, "You alright mate?" William didn't reply but nodded as he looked around, just to make sure no-one was around and nobody had followed him.
"Shhh... Don't speak so loud. You do realise why I've called you out today?" He asked the man, his heavy Louisiana accent shining through. His guest looked a little confused but nodded although he wasn't too sure what the task at hand was. "In this envelope I got you some money. Not too much, but something in advance. What you've got to do is pretty simple but make sure you don't get caught. I need you to dig up some filth on those ill-mannered bastards... Aiden Andrews and Jack Noble. High and Mighty they call themselves but little do they know, the highest and mightiest of them all are the Company. I don't if its catching them with their balls around and under-age prostitute or catching them doing drugs. I don't care what it is but I want a newstory out in the Cali papers this week." Jenkinson demanded the reporter who seemed to understand what was going on. The round-bellied man rubbed his stubbly chin and nodded his head. This was exactly the kind of job he was good at.
"And I'll get the rest of the cash later then?" He asked. "Do I come see you or..." he continued but was cut off by an alarmed Billy.
"NO! Absolutely not! Don't even think about contacting me again. I got your number, I'll arrange the money to be delivered to you. This meeting never took place and I don't want to see you again... Ever because if I even hear a word from you. I'll slit your throat whilst you sleep. You got that?" The reporter now looked a little frightened, realising this wasn't the type man to fuck with. His plans of blackmailing his client in the further were thrown out of the window right than instance. "I also want you to put in a fake story of a the Company setting up a school in africa for the poor children or something. Some good publicity because we could really use some right now. Make sure you get than done and you'll get the money. Good night." Jenkinson added before turning on his heel and walking away from the interaction with the reporter.
