Both men after a physically and mentally draining match rise to their feet. Adam then, with perhaps using the last of what is left from him, charges at Scally with an outstretched arm. Scally is wise to it and is able to duck the arm so now he is facing Moore’s back. Sensing an opportunity AJ ducks under Adam’s left arm, before wrapping his own left arm around the back of the Canadian’s head. With his free right hand Scally grabs Adam’s left leg before lifting it horizontally and finally flipping the Canadian backwards causing him to land on his head.
Pate: What a Lightning Spiral, Scally calls that the ‘Thunder from Down Under’.
Ray: That is such a deadly move and has to be it.
Ray is right as Batilda Kihlstedt slides down near the Flying Lion’s shoulders and counts 1…2…3. The bell rings to signal the end of the enthralling contest, as the fans all begin to boo the victor. Epic by Faith No More hits the speakers, as AJ rises to feet slowly before Kihlstedt raises the Anti-American’s arm to signal his indeed the winner.
Lizzie: Your winner AJ Scally.
Much like his introduction, Lizzie unenthusiastically announces AJ as the winner of the match. Instead of leaving the ring, the Aussie walks over to the edge of the ring nearest the commentary booth and asks for a microphone. The gaffer complies and walks over giving Scally the microphone as the music dies away.
AJ: I told you I would win tonight and Adam if you want to feel that again, you are more than welcome to keep coming back for more.
The crowd boo AJ before he continues.
AJ: Now onto the mysterious ‘The Past.’ I wouldn’t have a problem with you until you told me I need redemption. It is not I who needs redemption, it is every single American associated with EVPW who does. They need redemption from all the horrible things they did to me last time I was here but they are not going to get it until I feel they deserve which could be a long time away.
The fans boo even louder than before.
AJ: Oh and you don’t have to worry about your ‘great era’ resting on my shoulders, as I will drag it through the dirt, much like I was dragged through it before by the Americans involved, fans and staff alike.
More booing is heard, not that it fazes AJ.
AJ: But since you dare challenge the Anti-American Hero. I accept.
The crowd go crazy with cheers for once at AJ, as they were hoping he would accept the challenge.
AJ: Come Prelude to Madness, both of us will be going to hell but only I will resurface.
Epic by Faith No More hits the speakers as AJ drops the microphone to a booing crowd. By this stage Adam Moore has risen to his feet and returned to the ring and is now facing AJ. The Canadian extends his hand out to the Aussie; Scally then smiles before grasping the outstretched hand of his defeated opponent. The Anti-American Hero then lets out a loud laugh before turning the Flying Lion around and then wrapping him up and hitting another Thunder from Down Under, this causes the crowd to boo loudly as Epic starts up again
Pate: Come on now, that was uncalled for, you already beat the man.
Ray: AJ could just be sending a message to ‘The Past.’
Pate: He already did that from his victory but I digress. The important news coming out here is that AJ Scally has accepted ‘The Past’s’ challenge at Prelude to Madness, the two will face off in a ‘One Way to Hell’ match.
