Magnus Gunner had got just what he wanted. Its the sixth edition of Saturday Night Knockout and he finds himself up in the Pre-Main Event, and more importantly, an envious position. He's one of three men fighting for an opportunity to challenge Jack Noble for the Eagle Division Championship. All his hard work and dedication has finally gotten him to the finish line. The only thing keeping him from crossing and grabbing the desired prize are his opponents. Aiden Andrews and the surefire Hall of Famer, Rhaps. Neither of them are a slouch by any means, with the former having already defeated the Rock Messiah in active competition, and the latter holding a decorated resume filled with championship runs and historic bouts. But we know Magnus Gunner is never one to back down from a challenge, or crumble under pressure, and steer away from the odds. The deck had been shuffled and the cards had been dealt, and the Rock Messiah was ready to play his hand. We find the ever confident rocker in a hotel room in the Concord area, accompanied by a young blonde woman recognizable in the eyes of older EVPW fans yet intriguing to the newer ones. Gunner is staring out the window, staring at the skyline, meanwhile his company is seated on the end of the bed, flipping through a Vogue magazine.
Gunner: "This hotel blows. I ordered room service a half hour ago. This is a major drag."
Haven Silver: "Not like that diner back home that you love. Fast service, good people."
"You'd think EVPW superstars would be afforded better accommodations. I mean I am Magnus Gunner for crying out loud. "
"Indeed you are babe." She quickly changes the subject, motioning for Gunner's attention. He closes the blinds and saunters over toward the beg. Silver pushes the magazine aside, the Loaded Pistol seats himself between her legs. She begins playing with his head, the intimacy bringing a smile across his face. "I mean look at you, you've become a Main Eventer, and you're a match away from becoming Number One Contender."
"They might as well not even come to the ring. Rhaps is a has been. Aiden Andrews, all charisma, no substance."
Silver begins massaging his shoulders, meanwhile the Rock Messiah stares up at the ceiling, his eyes fixated on the fan that keeps spinning. He ponders his thoughts, somewhat captivated and hypnotized by the rotating mechanism. "Soon everyone's gonna realize you're not a joke. You mean business babe, and when you mean business you take care of business."
I'm going to blow Andrews' high. That silver bullets gonna need more than marijuana to cope with the depression he'll be afflicted with after I shatter his damn records. And I'm gonna beat the fat girl out of Rhaps. When I'm done, he'll be filling up on so much Strawberry Ice Cream, you'd think he just came off a bad break up. I'm gonna beat them in their own environment, a Falls Count Anywhere match, a type of bout that compliments their eccentric personalities and lifestyles. I'm about to burst through the glass ceiling, and the shards of broken glass panes are gonna crash on their heads.
She rests her head on his broad shoulders, her long golden hair carelessly dangling across his abdominal region. "You have nothing to worry about doll."
"Of course not. I'm gonna make an example out of those two wankers. I mean, they don't belong in the match to begin with. Aiden Andrews already proved to the world he's not championship material. Its his fault Jack Noble is the champion. And as far as Rhaps goes, are we really supposed to accept the fact that he's worthy of a title shot because he beat Matt Violence. If that's the case half of old EVPW should be storming the Solid Core Gymnasium staking their claim.
Haven raises her head, hair concealing her face, chuckling to herself in an elegant fashion. "Matt Violence has been beaten by just about everybody."
"Exactly. But I'm not gonna sweat it. They're sacrificial lambs heading for slaughter. I'm gonna butcher them up, and then I'm coming right for Noble. And they know it, everyone in EVPW knows it. This is my championship run. Its my time. I've never been more focused in my life. When I was touring in Japan, it changed me. I looked at those Asians, and listened to what they had to say. I mean I couldn't understand their broken English or that jibber-jabber they call Japanese, but from what I understood, they were all about winning, and proving themselves to be the best in the world. These phonies in the lockeroom, they're all claiming to be the best, but they can't back it up. They don't have the ring skills, the charisma, or the drive. They all lack either or, but I have all the qualities, all the intangibles. I'm finally putting it all together, finally about to grab that brass ring, and take my seat on the throne.
"The throne is rightfully yours, ever since LDWA when you were a double champion. EVPW refused to call you up to the main roster because they were afraid of change. Afraid that you'd take the attention away from their established stars. The old guys didn't want to pass the torch. But look now babe. You've snatched the torch. You know what you want and you get it done. Remember when Hayden was suffocating you with his shadow?"
"Yeah, and what happened to Mr. Hardkore?
"You made him Shagadelic, which is exactly what you're going to do to Rhaps and Aiden Andrews tonight, and Jack Noble after that."
Gunner turns to face Haven, leaning in looking for a kiss. His momentum is stopped, his attempt to lock lips precluded by her finger caressing his lips. She smiles at Magnus, the Rock Messiah slightly upset that he didn't get to taste her luscious lip gloss.
"They'll be enough of me to go around, after you become the official number one contender."
Magnus smiles, before his attention is diverted by the knocking at the. The door slowly opens, a room service attendant enters carrying a tray with champagne and two shot glasses. He sits it on the table and nods before exiting. As the door shuts behind him Haven rises off the bed, quickly opening the bottle and retrieving the two glasses. The two cheers the glasses before taking a few shots. Gunner grabs his gym bag and hands Haven her purse before the two exit the hotel room. They're heading to the arena, which for Magnus Gunner is like stepping through a vortex where he'll either be transported to a championship match against Jack Noble, or sent back to the drawing board.

Post by Aiden Andrews/Scotty Daniels on Apr 16, 2012 1:14:08 GMT -4
The scene opens up to a man juggling the task of holding the phone in between his shoulder and head and lacing his boots up for his match tonight. His beloved United Glory tag title lies in his cubby hole shimmering and standing out amongst the rest of his belongings. The camera then comes into focus to reveal the long haired champion to be Aiden Andrews. He seems to be enjoying his conversation with whomever is on the other line.
::-Aiden-:: Yah I know what can I say I got a thing for gold ha-ha. Yah you got lucky once next time we smoke my lucky hash. Well I hope everything is good over by you, enjoy your night off yah old fuck.
The other line responds with what we can assume was an equally smart ass answer as Andrews chuckles and hangs up the phone. He stands up and begins to warm up before being interrupted by his phone begins to ring again. Aiden stops and answers again this time the tone in his voice is different almost a bit more uncertain.
::-Aiden-:: Hello? Yah I just got off the phone with him…I’m hoping so it would be pretty nice to have both members of High and Mighty as the first two Joint champions in the new EVPW history.
Aiden pauses for a minute as he now sits back down on the bench resting his forearms on his knees.
::-Aiden-:: Yah never said it would be easy but these guys I’m up against tonight are no joke well at least from what I hear….Well yah I got Magnus’s number but this Rhaps guy is no joke from what people used to tell me so hopefully it all goes good and if not I still got the tag titles.
Aiden seemed rather satisfied by that last statement but the sudden look of contentment turns to a rather unsure look. His eyebrows cock inward as he seems to almost be repulsed by what was just mentioned to him on the other line.
::-Aiden-:: Hey as far as I am concerned no one is holding me back if anything he is making me better…It’s not like it matters I’m going to be the one in that ring next weekend facing him and I’m going to do everything it takes to win it this time…He is my friend how do you….
Aiden’s temper begins to rise and his thoughts become clouded as he is more and more unsure how to answer with each word that is being spoken to him.
::-Aiden-:: And how do you know what is best for me?...Yah, Yah bite me…We will talk about this later not tonight bye.
The hooligan hangs up his phone and throws it half way across the room in frustration. The phone puts a small hole in the drywall of the locker room as his intense emotions have him pacing around the room. Lizzie walks in right after the heated phone call and steps towards Andrews with her microphone and a question in mind. Aiden turns around and takes one last deep breath attempting to calm himself before putting on a fake sense of humor and entertainment.
::-Lizzie-:: Hey Aiden wasn’t trying to be a nosey neighbor but it sounds like someone thinks they have your best interest in mind but you don’t seem to agree anything you can comment on at this time?
::-Aiden-:: It’s a business, and sometimes as adults we have to make business decisions but that doesn’t mean that I won’t make my own decisions and I don’t need anyone telling me how to do it.
::-Lizzie-:: Alright sounds mysterious enough so about your match this week, you and Jack Noble’s matches were canceled due to some personal issues. Now this week you face a man you have beaten once before and a future EVPW hall of famer how do you see tonight turning out?
Aiden tries to think out his answer but his brain is cluttered with uncertainty and racing thoughts. He seems to almost fall into an angry daze before kind of snapping himself out of it and putting an answer together.
::-Aiden-:: Uhh…sorry, It’s not going to be an easy match out there tonight. I understand I am up against two other top superstars tonight but I’m no scrub anymore. My intentions are still the same as they were a couple weeks back and that’s to earn my shot at the title and walk away with it next week. I’m up though got to get out of here.
Aiden rushes past Lizzie to finish getting ready for the match as the look of confusion and hard decisions sticks to his face like stink on a fly. Lizzie is almost ran into as the hooligan swerves past her. A look of repulsion is displayed on her face as she can see the hooligan is not himself after that disturbing phone call.

The scene opens in one of the locker rooms of the Solid Core Gymnasium. Lizzie Morna is seen walking in front of the camera as she works her way through the various corridors that comprises the backstage area. Her footsteps are heard on the cold floor. Rounding a corner, she nods happily to herself after finding what she was looking for. Rhaps is sitting on a bench as he stares forwards at the wall in an almost hypnotic manner as if the SIC Maniac is suffering from some form of ice cream withdrawal. EVPW’s ring announcer taps him cautiously on the shoulder, well aware of the superstar’s zany and haphazard reputation. Rhaps ignores the prodding on his shoulder for a few seconds before abruptly turning his head and shining a wide eyed grin at Lizzie Morna. She seems taken aback by this display but she presses on nonetheless, adamant that she will fulfil the purpose of this meeting.
Lizzie: Hello Rhaps, can I ask you some questions?
The smile on Rhaps’ face is frozen for a few more seconds before the Hyper Sensation jumps to his feet and turns to face the camera. Lizzie screams with a start before Rhaps puts up a reassuring hand in a vague attempt to calm her down. Behind him, four empty tubs of Strawberry Ice Cream lie on the bench with spoon liberally cast to the floor.
Rhaps: You must surely can Drizzie Lizzie. And any comments on the nickname Rhapsy just gave you should be left to the end of this interview. It is an interview I am giving yes? Or is it just a TV spot for EVPW? Hiiiiii fans!
Lizzie huffs in annoyance from Rhaps’ tirade and she begins tapping her foot in a visual display of impatience. The Rhapsitastic One notices this and begins to calm down to allow the interview to continue.
Lizzie: So Rhaps, how does it feel to be back in EVPW once again after a year -long hiatus from the company and more than three years since you wrestled a full time schedule?
Rhaps: It feels Rhapsifying Drizzie Lizzie. EVPW has long been Rhaps’ true home and after wrestling the world over for so long it was time to return home to the company that made the High Flying, Rhapsifying SIC Maniac. After all, Rhapsy needs to thank the fans and this place for his career and now it is time to get back in the game.
After Rhaps finishes speaking, he takes a seat once more and begins throwing the empty ice cream tubs into a nearby bin. Lizzie seems almost satisfied with his response as she clears her throat to ask the next question.
Lizzie: After defeating Matt Violence last week in a three falls of simplicity match, how do you feel going into tonight’s match? And as a follow up question, what do you think about potentially becoming the number one contender to Jack Noble’s championship?
Rhaps: Firstly, Matty V is one hell of a competitor and it was a close run thing but it was the Rhapsitastic One that had his arm raised in victory. And Rhapsy plans on doing the same tonight. That match was a test as to whether there was any ring rust and with that tested, the true contest is tonight. Rhaps has seen both of his opponents in action and they will be difficult to beat but the Ice Cream Eater thrives on competition and he will do all he can to win. As for Jack Noble, if Rhaps wins a shot at his championship then he will make sure it will be a match for the ages.
Lizzie: Ok, next question. Do you have any thoughts or words for your opponents tonight?
Rhaps: Only this Lizzie, Rhaps may seem strange to these two men and they have certainly judged the Ice Cream Eater on his personality and in ring prowess. However, that is all irrelevant because once Rhaps is in between those ropes and the match has begun then, they will look into the torrent of hellfire that the Rhapsitastic One will unleash. Rhaps will prove why he is one of the best in the world and win or lose; they will see the Safety Ranger for who he really is.
Rhaps turns on his heel and walks out, leaving Lizzie Morna standing in the locker room. She turns and nods meekly to the camera before shrugging her shoulders. The camera turns to face Rhaps as he exits the locker room on his way to the ring for his match.

The three competitors stand on opposite sides of one another, soaking in the electricity in the air that such an important match would create. Andrews and Rhaps glance at each other, and then at the Rock Messiah before moving toward him, intimating that they would be teaming, even if tentatively, against the Michigander. Realizing what a perilous predicament he is in, the belligerent rocker desperately goes on the offensive, quickly doubling Aiden over with a stiff toe kick before raking the eyes of the SIC Maniac. With his vision impaired the former Dragon's Rage Champion staggers into the corner, meanwhile Gunner turns his attention to the tag team champion. He wastes no time in capitalizing off the situation, laying into EVPW's resident pothead with a blistering European Uppercut. Saliva sputters out of Andrews' mouth whilst his head snaps back awkwardly from the withering impact. As Aiden drops to a knee Gunner turns the attack on the cornered Englishman, acquainting his forearm with Rhaps' chin, delivering another vicious European Uppercut. Rhaps slumps down in the corner, the strike from his adversary having momentarily left him dazed and enervated. Gunner darts his eyes over to Andrews, realizing he had began to recuperate, and returns to him. Bearing down over him, the sleazebag rocker bends and grips him by the hair, Aiden cooperating- and kneeling his way up. However the Rock Messiah's early dominance and level of comfortableness is quickly disrupted, as Andrews breaks free from Magnus' clutches and brings his throwing arm back across the chest of the Michigander with a stiff chop. A Flairesque "WOO" chant breaks out in the audience as the sound of the flesh wrenching strike resonates throughout the gymnasium, followed by moaning from the superstar on the receiving end. Wincing, Gunner turns away from Andrews, straight into Rhaps who by now has regained his composure. The Safety Ranger tosses Magnus into the corner, before violently swinging his leg, plunging his foot into the narcissist's sternum. The vile Roundhouse Kick has Gunner crumbling, air rushing out of his lungs leaving him gasping. As he remains upright, the two faces back pedal to the far corner, the future Hall of Famer slaps Andrew's across the shoulder, inviting him to go first. He obliges, charging across the ring and quickly taking flight. His knees are brought inward before being fully extended at the last possible second, the soles of his boots vigorously clashing into Magnus' Michigan mug. Before his brainpan had an opportunity to assimilate the sustained damage, Gunner's skull was once again under siege. Dashing at top speed, Rhaps quickly lifts his leg level to his head, assaulting the Loaded Pistol's cranium with his foot. The electricity upstairs dims tremendously, Gunner's cerebral cortex statics like a busted television, whilst he topples to the ground and rolls under the bottom rope, shaking his head fluently from the impact of the Yakuza Kick.
"Andrews and Rhaps just used Mangus' head like a pinata." "And that kind of double penetration is something you never want to experience."
Rhaps hoists his arms pridefully into the air, eliciting a massive pop from the EVPW lifeblood. It is at this point that the cohesion, and ties between the two fan favorites is quickly severed as Aiden Andrews waits for the Safety Ranger to turn. He seizes the exposure by jabbing a knee lift into Rhaps' solar plexus, causing his arms to shrivel. From there Andrews maneuvers behind his foe, placing his head in Rhaps' armpit and hooking his arm around his near leg. He quickly flexes his quadriceps, channeling fourth a force of energy that travels from his spine and into his arms, which he uses to catapult his opponent overhead and into the air. Displaying catlike reflexes and swiftness, Rhaps manages to land on his feet, before leaning into ropes. Upon rebounding he lunges forward, arching his body in a sideways fashion at the Hooligan who spins around, coercing him to the canvas supinely with a Crossbody Block. Flourishing his own technical prowess, the United Glory champion counters by rolling through, ending up on top of Rhaps who's shoulders are pinned to the canvas. Instead of holding the pinfall, Andrews uses the momentum to spring to his feet before leaping into the air and extending his legs. His aforementioned limbs come crashing down across the Rhapsifying One, with his full frame dropping across his chest like a massive anvil. Andrews creaks up off the canvas, and crawls over to Rhaps' carcass, extending his arm over his chest as it rises and falls, the referee dropping to the mat and raising his hand for the pinfall.
"ONE!" "TWO!"
Patterson's arm stops midway to the canvas, the pinfall broken up by the third man in the contest who drops his fists across Andrew's lower back. Aiden leans back and rests on his knees, meanwhile Gunner stumbles to a state of full verticality. He approaches his target, grappling the aerialist around the head. Aiden fights back, shoving Magnus off of his mounted position, before clambering to his feet. Still slightly disoriented by the previous assault on his head, Gunner drops to a knee. Aiden runs into the ropes, before quickly rebounding and charging at the Rock Messiah. Gunner rises to his feet, barely able to stand, yet somehow wraps an arm around Andrew's waist. The accomplished mat wrestler pivots on his foe's foot before strafing behind him. He clasps his hands together, having fully encircled his adversary before pulling him backward. He adroitly bridges his back and propels the Wisconsin native head first into the mat with a German Suplex, Aiden gingerly grabbing his neck as he sprawls in a heap of his own sweat. With the Hooligan motionless, Magnus rises to his feet, his attention now focused on Rhaps who stands up in the corner, albeit groggily. Gunner smiles condescendingly, the current situation a familiar one to the spectators. A stroke of his pornstar mustache is followed by the words "ALL ABOARD THE YELLOW SUBMARINE!", causing the audience to stamp their feet and slam their hands across the barricade. With a sudden jolt of energy Gunner scampers to the corner, stepping onto the bottom rope before swinging and bending his free leg, tattooing his knee underneath Rhaps' chin, causing the audience to grimace at the impact. Having befuddled him with the knee strike, Magnus applies a facelock, before stepping down from the corner and running forward. Not wanting to take the ride on a stomach full of SIC, Rhaps shoves Gunner forward, liberating his head. With the Bulldog thwarted, Magnus turns around enraged, and impulsively charges at the Englishman. The astute Safety Ranger exploits his momentum against him, lowering his shoulder and catapulting Magnus over the top rope. The former Dragon's Rage Champion isn't afforded a breather, as a recently convalesced Andrews comes charging forward. Rhaps sidesteps, sending him diving through the middle and top ropes. He torpedoes into the Rock Messiah, the impact sending him staggering into the guardrail. With the sudden change of pace the crowd is ignited, influencing Rhaps' next action. He slowly ascends the top turnbuckle and turns his back toward his opposition. As Gunner and Aiden slowly begin to stir and approach one another Rhaps leaps off the top rope. Midst flight, he gracefully rotates backward, landing on top of both men's heads, sending all three competitors spilling across the padded floor.
"What a Moonsault by the death defying SIC Maniac!" "These three men have put on a clinic thus far. All for an opportunity to face Jack Noble for the Eagle Division Title."

All three competitors lie on the ground after the hellacious manoeuvre that Rhaps just performed. The audience are aghast at the technical wrestling skill and aerial acrobatics on display tonight. The Rhapsitastic One is the first superstar to exhibit any sign of life from the car crash that the audience just witnessed and after a few seconds he is back to one knee. He soon begins eyeing up his prey, a look of unadulterated and unbridled passion for his craft plastered all over his face as he hovers menacingly over the veritable carnage that he unleashed on his two opponents. Magnus Gunner is unaware of the SIC Maniac looming behind him as he works his way to a vertical base. Rhaps pounces instantly, looping his hands around his adversary’s waist. Magnus however is ready to close the door on the sneak attack as he deftly shoves his elbow back, smashing the Englishman in the side of the head. After three such strikes, Rhaps’ grip is loosened and Magnus half turns and caves his arm across his throat with a vicious Lariat. The move sends Rhaps reeling to the canvas. Aiden is looming behind the SIC Warrior as he drops to his haunches behind him as he suddenly swoops on the opportunity presented to him by the Rock Messiah. He hooks Rhaps’ legs before flipping the superstar over onto his back with a roll up pin, pressing his shoulders into the ground. The in ring official is ready to make the count as he drops to his knees beside the pinning attempt. The palm of his hand crisply slaps the concrete twice before Rhaps hurls his frame to one side, thereby creating enough separation between his shoulders and the floor beneath the break the pinfall.
JP: That was a close call there for the SIC Warrior. It looks like that temporary alliance between Rhaps and Aiden is now a thing of the past since his two opponents looked like they were acting as a cohesive unit to get one over on him. This should prove to be an epic contest because I know for a fact that none of these men are done yet.
Ray: I should hope not, after all I want to enjoy more sexy wrestling action. Everybody knows that I’m not a fan of Rhaps but to have this match end now in such a fashion would have been criminal. I haven’t been able to take any decent Polaroids yet for my wall of fame and hopefully this contest will be a winner for my Facebook page.
Aiden Andrews and Magnificent Magnus stand face to face after the former’s attempt to steal a win, Aiden wearing a mocking grin on his face all the while. Gunner looks somewhat annoyed at his nemesis and it is clearly written on his facial features. The Wisconsin native wastes little time in continuing the match as he bunches a fist before blasting the Rock Messiah directly in the face. The force of the right handed punch sends him reeling back a step or two before his head snaps back around and he delivers a thunderous right hand of his own. His knuckles bounce brazenly off of Aiden’s nose and his eyes begin to water up. Magnus seizes the opportunity to gain some momentum as he rockets forwards abruptly, ramming his shoulder into straight into The Hooligan’s gut. The potency of the Spear rockets them both to the ground, the flat of Andrews’ back careening into the unforgiving surface with a dull thud that causes the audience in the front rows to inwardly grimace. Gunner stands back to his feet with a flourish and a proud expression cast across his face.
Rhaps however has a different idea as he shoves him back into the ring bodily. As Magnus rolls under the bottom rope, the SIC Maniac ascends to the top of the turnbuckle with lightning quickness from the outside. The Messiah stands up just as Rhaps bunches his leg muscles and sends himself catapulting through the air towards him in a graceful arch, his body twisting and twirling in the air in a dazzling visual display. The Corkscrew Senton however has less than the desired effect as Magnificent Magnus easily sidesteps the high flying manoeuvre. Rhaps’ face and chest slams into the canvas and the entire structure vibrates from the impact. Every sinew and fibre in Rhaps’ body begins screaming in agony at him, his brain merely registering a vast torrent of pain coming from every possible direction. Once again, Magnus has a smug look on his face as he casts his eyes over both of his stricken opponents.
JP: Rhaps went for a momentum changing move there and was relying on his speed and agility to see him through. However, Magnus is exhibiting his wily veteran instinct in the ring tonight and it is obvious. He has been dominant in this match so far and it shows no signs of surcease.
Ray: Do you use big, fancy words to make yourself sound more intelligent? I’m guessing that must be the case because you never talk like that when you’re not behind this desk. I guess with a name like Jimmy Pate, it makes people think you’re quite dumb so you try and make up for it with made up words. That has to be made up, surcease sounds way too intelligent for you Jimmy.
JP glares at his broadcast partner, the magnanimous look of hatred unmistakable to Ray White. Aiden Andrews begins to recover on the outside of the ring whilst Magnus Gunner seems to be basking in his glory and the crowning achievement at grounding the High Flying, Death Defying, and Rhapsifying SIC Maniac. The Wisconsin native takes a few moments to himself before sliding under the bottom rope and returning to the proverbial gladiatorial arena. Magnus turns on the spot and both men eye each other up once more, knowing that this match could very well go down to a contest to see which of these superstars is better. Some unspoken message is passed between them and they nod simultaneously as they both cast an ominous glare at the fallen Rhapsitastic One. Both combatants get straight to work as they drag Rhaps’ carcass into the centre of the ring. Aiden retrieves both of Rhaps’ legs before pulling back tightly, applying a picture perfect Boston Crab. Magnus begins laughing at the spectacle before he too drops over the Safety Ranger, pulling his arms back before looping his own hands around Rhaps’ jaw. Rhaps begins emitting blood curdling screams of pure, incessant anguish. His body has been contorted nauseatingly, both of his foes folding his form back in on itself in a vicious attempt to cripple and maim him for life. The referee looks unsure as to how to proceed but after a few moments of brief hesitation, he drops to his knees in front of the SIC Warrior and begins asking him whether he would like to tap out or not. Rhaps’ screaming reaches fever pitch, his suffering increases exponentially whilst Gunner and Andrews continue to torture the Englishman with their respective submission holds.
