(Note: This is something new I'm trying and it's an interactive segment, so it's up to you guys to step in and keep it going. I'll explain further at the end of the post.)
As the reporters stood around facing the long table upon the stage before them, many with either microphone or notepad in hand, Vladimir Strife emerged from the left side of the stage silently. The GodKing was without his usual attire, clad instead in a nice suit and dress shoes and even a navy blue tie. He makes his way over to a seat reserved for him on the left of the podium posted at center stage and sits down, calmly awaiting the others. Lizzie Morna comes out shortly thereafter, following the trail of the Hardcore King before passing his seat and taking her place at the podium.
As a couple of minutes pass, Vlad makes several glances down to the silver watch on his wrist and taps his fingers against the table impatiently. Nearly 5 minutes pass between him taking his chair and Jerry coming up from the right side of the stage, his appearance rather disheveled in comparison to that of his adversary. The Satisfying one stumble a bit along the way, his shades nearly falling off of his face before he repositions them, perhaps the signs of a hard night or a bender the evening before. As he plops down into his chair, the Shotgun Kid looks around unbemused without a single intent to hide his contempt for the publicity attempt.
Lizzie smiles to the crowd and taps the microphone to test it, a small thud coming through the speakers around the stage as she does.
"Welcome everyone to the press conference for the Texas Deathmatch that will take place at EVPW's upcoming pay per view, Abaddon's Pit, between Vladimir T. Strife-"
She motions to stage left, waving her hand out towards the legendary Behemoth and then to stage right towards the man who had challenged him.
"and Jerry Nate!"
A small round of applause goes around for the men on stage before Lizzie continues.
"Before we begin, allow me to remind you that this Sunday's event is available ONLY on Pay per view. These men will give their everything to try to destroy and defeat the other as they have shown time and time again against their opponents. The match will only end once one of them has pinned the other to the count of three and they are unable to return to their feet by the count of ten. It is sure to be one of the most shining examples of brutality and endurance in professional wrestling history! You do NOT want to miss this fight, ladies and gentlemen!"
Finished promoting the upcoming ppv, Lizzie gets on with business and allows the conference to get underway.
"Now, remember the rules of this press conference. Raise you hand and if I point to you, that's the go ahead to ask your question. Due to time constraints and the amount of people here, we ask that you keep it to one question, which you can direct at either star or to both."
(Okay, now to explain further.. anyone can RP as a reporter and ask a question, which as stated, can be directed at Vlad, Jerry or both men. It's a press conference, so remember to keep it semi-professional. Don't ask anything that a reporter wouldn't or couldn't say on tv. Have fun and let me know what you think of the concept.)
