The clock ticks on in Concord, the Solid Core Gym being the place where the time goes by at a snail's pace. The hallways are nearly empty, this being an off night for the building. The only sound besides the clock ticking by seems to be the droll padding coming from gloved fists and padded shins hitting a punching bag in routine rhythm. The sight of the actual workout room of the Gym seems like that of an old movie, the only light being the evanescent daylight that meanders through the freshly cleaned windows. There are a few people packing up and preparing to leave, putting away their equipment and wiping sweat from their brows. The only truly active person can be seen wearing a black muscle shirt with matching shorts that come down to below his knees. He is wearing a pair of training shin pads and wrestling boots that are also black as well as a pair of black gloves. He can be seen in a sense beating the hell out of a punching bag hanging from the ceiling. As the other people go to make their exit, the blond man walks over to a bench and grabs a bottle of water and towel before performing a guided fall into a sitting position on the wooden seat. He takes a quick drink and looks around the empty locker room, tossing the bottle into his bag before wiping some sweat from his brow. He then leans back and places his palms on the cold wood. Scotty sighs as he looks up to the ceiling and closes his eyes.
He sits there as if immersed in thoughts, allowing himself to mentally catch up on recent months. From the GHW split, the new contract on EVPW and his mind finally settles on the one thing that's really been lingering in the back of his mind. He envisions a blond haired beauty that he hadn't seen in months. He shakes his head a bit to clear his mind of the vision of the woman. He knew in his mind that things had blown up in his face with all the problems he'd had with his career. "She probably wants nothing to do with me now... but I can't help but wonder what things are going to be like when I see her again...." He then stands up and stretches out the muscles in his arms, keeping warm so he doesn't pull anything. He then walks over to a sit up bench, sitting down and hooking his feet under the bar. He starts working his abdominals while letting his mind wander once again to what all had happened.
He redoubles his efforts, feeling his stomach start to burn lightly from the lactic acid start to form on his abdominals. He then lays back on the bench, looking at the ceiling again and breathing a little heavier than usual. His mind was now racing a bit, remembering all he left behind and finally leads to him freeing his feet and standing up, looking around again and smiling. His smile was calm and relaxing, now having his mind set right and his mind made up on what to do. "I've just got to talk to her, that's it. I'll hate myself if I don't at least apologize...." Scotty says as he seems to catch a little hop to his walk, his mood lightened as he walks over to the punching bag again. He slams his knee into it precisely, following with some quick jabs and combinations of kicks and punches. He mood seemed to fuel his workout, allowing him to throw harder yet faster punches and aim more precisely on the bag. He soon sits down again and leans back on one palm, having grabbed his water as he made his way to the bench. He takes a long, refreshing drink before leaning over and placing his elbows on his knees. "I wonder where she is right now....." Scotty says as he runs a hand through his slightly damp hair. He takes another drink of water, wiping a little sweat from his brow and arms before standing up and stretching out again. He tries keeping his mind off of things as he stretches out, not paying attention to his surroundings.

Scotty stretches out his leg muscles for a while, and the walks over to where the weights are. He picks one up and lifts it, working on his bicep/tricep muscles. After doing this about 5 times on each arm, he puts it down and walks back to his gym bag, grabs the towel and wipes his face with it. Since his mind was dead set on working out at the moment, he didn’t realise there was someone stood at the door. She had been stood there since he last spoke, and she really wanted to say ‘I’m right here’.. but didn’t. Scotty rested his eyes on the window, looking outside, where it was slowly beginning to become dark. Meanwhile, Amanda walked up behind him. Scotty saw her reflection behind him, but thought he was imagining it. He shook his head and closed his eyes for a second, but when he opened them, the reflection of Amanda was still there. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder and he immediately spun around on the spot, looking down at the woman he was talking about before.. Thinking how much of a coincidence it was that she was there. Amanda smiled, she didn’t really know what to do or even what to say for that matter..
She stayed silent though, the smile on her face disappeared as she continued to look Scotty in the eyes. Sure, she had questions to ask him, and she wanted answers. The only problem was that she didn’t know how to word them, she had gone over it in her mind plenty of times. Neither of them spoke, and it began to feel awkward. Amanda cleared her throat and looked around the gym, breaking eye contact with Scotty for a moment, but not for long. She looked back up at him..
::[.Amanda Hallsworth.]:: Sorry to interrupt.. Didn’t realise anyone was gonna be in here..
To her, that made no sense at all, since she wasn’t even heading for the gym. She was just suspicious as to who was beating the hell out of the punching bag, and it just so happened to be Scotty. She figured that she couldn’t ignore him forever, so she stayed. And this would probably be the best time to talk because they were both alone, and that for Amanda didn’t happen a lot recently. Amanda went to speak, but at the same time, so did Scotty.. It was one of those really awkward moments where they both just looked at eachother..
::[.Amanda Hallsworth.]:: Go on.. You first..
Amanda let him speak first, she just wanted to hear him speak. They hadn’t seen or spoken to eachother in a while, and it showed because Scotty had a new look, which Amanda kinda liked. She smiled a little, still unaware of what to feel at the moment..

Scotty's thoughts began to race once again, not knowing really what to say. He wanted to apologize, beg for forgiveness over his absence in her life, explain himself properly, tell her exactly what his heart let him know was true about how he felt. He finally took a deep breath and looked into her eyes, his mind slowing down and his body relaxing as he felt himself melt into her eyes. He smiled a bit, taking another breath before finding the words he wanted to say. "I didn't expect to see you here this late... I'm happy you're here though. I owe you an apology, more like a thousand apologies for what happened....." Scotty sees her bite her lip a bit, knowing that he did have to apologize profusely but now wasn't the time it seemed. He takes a moment to collect himself again before letting himself continue. "You know how much I care about you, and I'm sorry I let my career come between us. I got way too ahead of myself and it messed up the best thing in my life, our relationship. I haven't been that happy in my life as I was with you.... It still haunts me that I let anything get in the way of that." Amanda looked almost shocked, hearing the words she seemed to want to hear for a while now but that wasn't the reason she looked shocked. The sight of the man before her look her in the eyes with his soft green eyes, a tear rolling down his cheek from those green eyes. He wipes away a tear before running his hands through his hair and looking down into her eyes again, now catching his composure again.
Amanda takes a second to let his words sink in, knowing her feelings for him hadn't really changed but she wasn't sure. She bites her lip a little harder, the light pain helping keep herself in the right state of mind. She then shakes her head a bit to settle her thoughts and looks at him with a slight smile. "You had me really worried you know.... All of those big plans and that new gimmick, I thought you'd forgotten me." She says as she lowers her eyes to the floor with the last part. Scotty's heart seemed to sink as he listened to her, the guilt he felt seemed to get worse. He couldn't think of anything to say, letting his shoulder slack down as a sign of defeat to whatever hand of fate was trying to get to him. Amanda then looks back up and sees the look on his face and leans up and kisses him lightly on the cheek, hoping to perk him up and not really knowing what she's doing at the same time. Both of their face seem to fluster with a light red as she notices herself. "I'm sorry.... I don't know why I did that...." She says with a sightly startled tone to her voice. Scotty seems to have gotten his nerve back a bit though.
He wraps his arms around her, letting her return the hug as he closes his eyes and lets himself sink into the moment. He lets go after a moment but keeps his hands on her shoulders as he looks at her. "I was running down a dream... you know me when I get to over the top on a thought. Though my dreams have changed now, we're both here in a better company that keeps us in mind more than the books. I don't have that stress anymore to be better than I really am...." Scotty says with an encouraging sound to his voice, though the emotion of the moment can still be heard. He looks her in the eyes still, the slight smile on his face lowering a bit, knowing what he wants to ask but afraid of the outcome of it. He decides now or never and throws out his fear, taking a breath. "Amanda... you know I really care about you and that I'd do anything for you. Is there any way you can give me a second chance, to let me make up for my mistakes?" He had said it, the thought slammed him in the back of the head but there was nothing he could do now except hope for the best. He lets his arms drop to his side as he searches for the answer in her eyes.

There was nothing more that she wanted than to give Scotty a second chance. But she couldn’t help but think about one guy. Tyler. He said the same, but in different words. Giving him that second chance was the biggest mistake she had ever made. Scotty was different though. Tyler broke her heart more than once, but she was too blind to see what was really going on. Just then, that moment of looking deep into Scotty’s eyes, it hit her. Why was she comparing Scotty Dreamer, the guy who she cared so much for.. To Tyler Durden? Amanda had to look away, she shook the thought from her head and walked past Scotty to the window and she just looked out of it.. Scotty stood in the same place, his eyes on the floor, confused about why she just walked away from him and wondering what was going through her mind. Just then she turned back to him and spoke..
::[.Amanda Hallsworth.]:: Okay..
She walked back, she didn’t know if that made it clear or not, but she knew she wanted to forgive him. Scotty looked down at her and ran his hand down the side of her face. The touch of his fingers on her skin gave Amanda chills, she closed her eyes for a second. When she opened them, Scotty moved his hand back to his side. She really wanted to tell him about Tyler, but what was the use of bringing up the past? She already knew Scotty was different, he was sweet, caring and Amanda knew that he meant every word that he just spoke..
::[.Amanda Hallsworth.]:: I never stopped thinking about you.. But it just got me so confused. If you cared so much about me, why did you just leave without saying anything? I won’t lie.. It hurt..
Amanda ran her fingers through her hair. Scotty didn’t say or do anything, he just looked down at the floor, disappointed in himself for hearing that Amanda felt hurt. Amanda just smiled slightly, trying to lighten the mood a little, she put her hand on Scotty’s chin and raised it, when they were looking eye to eye again, she moved her hand away and ran it down his arm until she got to his hand and she held it. Scotty didn’t resist it, he laced his fingers with hers and they just stood there in the middle of the gym, not saying a word. Amanda felt a little strange though, she hadn’t been with anyone since Scotty, she didn’t want to really.. For the simple reason that she didn’t want to get hurt again. She bit her lip lightly and broke eye contact with Dreamer, looking away to the window for a second and then back. She pulled him over to the bench and they both sat down. Amanda turned to face Scotty and she just smiled, for the first time in her life she couldn’t find the words to speak. She cleared her throat and tried..
::[.Amanda Hallsworth.]:: I’m curious.. How exactly are you going to make it up to me?
She smiled again and a slight chuckle followed the question. She knew how it sounded, but she meant it seriously, even if it didn’t sound like it. She saw the look on Scotty’s face and smirked, winked and then bit her lip again, wanting to hear the answer..

Scotty has a look of shock on his face for a moment before looking down to the floor and leaning his elbows onto his knees. He thinks for a moment, trying to find the words to say. He knew that he had no way to explain why he'd taken off the way he did but he had to try. " I really didn't mean to hurt you... I guess I just got to headstrong over the chance at getting the Charging Glory title that I gave up a lot in my life. I barely ate, lost touch with my family and worst of all I lost touch with you.... Just another case of my immaturity kicking me in the ass...." Scotty said as he looks up at her, hoping that she understood where he was coming from. He runs his fingers through his hair, his mind still racing from the moment. His heart was racing, his skin starting to feel lightly chilled from slowing down from his workout. He shrugged it off and moved his hand over, lacing his fingers in hers once more before leaning over and kissing her softly on the cheek. Amanda turns a little red in the cheeks from his lips caressing her cheek. He just smiles lightly, thinking of a way to repay her for his stupidity. His mind wonders all over, mulling over multiple ideas before grinning to her and laughing lightly. " You just love putting me on the spot and making me think huh? How about to start, you pick the place and I'll take you there. Could be dinner and a movie, a party, a club, anywhere you want to go." Scotty says and thinks of a few places he'd guess her to choose. She looks at him and seems to be thinking, laughing lightly. " You're just trying to get out of deciding a real way. Leave all the actual thinking to me huh?" She says with a giggle, causing him to shrug with an obviously fake innocence to his smile. He then unlaces his fingers from hers, wrapping his arm around her back, her scooting over right next to him and wrapping her arm around his back too. Amanda rests her head on his shoulder, feeling closer to him now than in the past few months which made her heart beat a little faster. Scotty just kisses the top of her head lightly before letting his head droop a bit and looking at her. " I don't want to lose you again.... This time I'm not going to screw up.... That's a promise." Scotty says as they sit there and just enjoy each other's company for once. The light within the room has dimmed pretty well, showing night time coming very shortly and the possible locking of all the doors. The ticking of the clock seems to slow down as they sit there, becoming slightly louder to them as they stay silent, not wanting to ruin the moment while they allow their minds to slow down and give them the ability to think well again.
